I've been to Caernarfon. I visited the castle. I was actually in Chester, working on an archaeological site at the time. The folks I was working with me told me that the people of Caernarfon wouldn't speak to me in English. I certainly didn't find that to be the case. Mind you, I do have a very obvious Scottish accent.
I love Caernarfon and haven’t visited the castle since I was a kid. Next time you’re round there travel just a title further around the coast and go to Conway. They have a great castle and also the smallest house in the world haha
