I am 68 years old and grew up eating sweetened cereals and sugar doughnuts for breakfast, then sweetened oats or banana bread type foods as an adult. At age 52 an endocrinologist gave me a sugar free low carb diet list to manage reactive hypoglycemia symptoms. It has been one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Sugar is addictive. Now if I want something sweet after a meal, it might be berries with pecans, something like that. I had to get past a fear of fats and butter 16 years ago due to all the bad advice we heard for decades. Satiety comes from fats in the diet. In the first two weeks of getting off sugar, I had extreme cravings for sweets but once that began to subside, a never before sense of self control and mental clarity was like an awakening for mind and body.

I had a widowmaker HA last summer at 54 on a Friday night. Two blockages from loose plaque in the LAD at 100% and 80%. I drove myself to the ER because I felt strange. Had two stents put in, spent two nights in ICU (2nd night was because there was no rooms on the heart floor, spent another night on the heart floor, and was back to work Tuesday morning.

@@lynnetuckercarnivore Saladino changed his views on certain foods a lot in this past year. I believe fruit has some health benefits but they are "sugary" and not worth it when you have metabolic and heart issues.

Doctor Ovadia and Jack, thank you for another great interview. Jeff's life story mirrors my own about 90% and I could relate to every emotion, feeling and event that he discussed. Once people start realizing that real whole food is medicine, the pharmaceutical industry's grip on human health is done.
I believe in doctors who take the approach that, " it's their business to put themselves out of business."
Thank you again for everything you guys are doing!

This exact thing happened to me last Saturday night. They did compressions on me for two minutes and the paddles to revive me. They rushed me to the Cath Lab and inserted three stents into my Widowmaker artery. I think I’m going home from the hospital this morning. I am 65 years old, been carnivore for three years. I intend to continue carnivore forever. Are there any drugs that the cardiologist is going to prescribe to me that I must take?

I can somehow relate to Jeff. My first heart attack was April 2023.
    ECG showed complete LBBB.
I couldn't believe it bec we no one among family members have a heart condition. I wasn't a meat eater. I don't eat saturated fats. But my staple food for the past 10 years were high in carbs & fastfood. Rarely seafoods. Veggies occasionally.
I tried Keto and my carbs were coming from green leafy veggies only.
My sleep improved, I have energy and clear mind.
I didn't buy even one prescription. The cardiologist kept saying angiogram & angioplasty but I refused.
I got serious w my health in October 2023. I went back to cardiologist last month and my lab shows NO LBBB, high HDL, low triglycerides, high LDL though.
He was surprised no more LBBB. I couldn't tell him I was on keto bec he gonna cancel me as a patient and I neee the lab works.

Really excited to hear your story. I have LBBB, too. I also have HF with reduced ejection fraction and atherosclerosis. This has all been silent. Been carnivore 2 years, beat T2, Crohns, BP, etc, and I think the heart problems predate my diet change (aged 68), and possibly were caused by a severe chest infection 12 months ago. My ejection fraction has improved from 21% to 33% in the last 6 months, and I'm hoping for the LBBB to improve too. So was especially pleased to see your success! 🎉

I have a LBBB too, and when I asked my Cardiologists if it would always show up on an ECG, he said, "until the day you die". I had another ECG 7 mo later and a second ECG 1 yr after that, and the block showed up both times. I read just a few days ago that Some blocks can be intermittent, but don't go away completely.

I've been diagnosed with LBBB also. I was told not to worry about it. Lots of people live with it just fine. I've been sedentary for many years. Just started walking again. I tend to have a high heart rate. Should I be concerned with LBBB? Had a echocardiogram, and it did reveal any problems. I've also been eating no sugar and low carb for about a month.

I think he said something like him avoiding red meat since 1976 was what probably helped him survive the heart attack. But he's believing the same liars that told his mother that Crisco & margarine were healthier than butter. He's so excited about grass fed cow milk butter, yet still thinks the cow meat/tallow is harmful? I'm sure he'll see soon online that red meat is just as healthy as the best fish. Avoiding red meat often results in a high carb diet that causes the heart attacks & strokes & diabetes etc. Avoiding the hamburger bun, fries & sweet drink is helpful. Avoiding the hamburger meat is not helpful. Red meat is innocent. He'll learn. Also fiber is not needed. He should watch Dr Paul Mason on RUclips, and Guy Tenenbaum, and Dr Ken Berry & Dr Sten Ekberg who also recently discussed Carnivore since it's all over the internet now, even lower glycemic/inflammation than KETO (Carnivore IS KETO without the plants, or only seasonings. We prefer KETOvore bcz we like a bit more plant side dishes & berries in our fresh goat dairy cream with some maple syrup we make from the trees, or honey from our bees. Not much, not often, but we sure feel extremely better on the lowest carb lifestyle we can emotionally tolerate lol. I really like food gardening & licking fresh wild black raspberries & apples from our old trees (not the modern super sweet varieties.) I'll bake sprouted wheat bread sometimes too. Jesus said wheat & other plant based foods & beverages were good. I think he also said he tries to eat a low amount of protein, but I heard from doctors that we need more protein than the standard dietary guidelines recommend, and even more as we age.

Do you watch Eric Berg, DC, retired from chiropractic, but gives some good tips, especially in older videos. His advice on nutrition is fantastic! He's big on keto. He usually has things written on a dry erase board or adds to as he speaks. He's on FB and RUclips, and on UT, he links other videos or references. Love that so many doctors, retired or breaking rank, are trying to Help us!!!
