Is that bridge floating or is it pinned down? Various spec sheets for it don't mention that it is floating, but do mention floating bridges on the less expensive models, like the GB10SE. If it is somehow pinned down, I have a follow up question. Why would some be pinned down, others floating? My first guess would be cost, but I seem to see floating bridges on some pretty pricey hollowbody archtops too. Thanks for all your great reviews and videos- you're an amazing player, Sir!
Wonderful playing effortless so smooth congrats. Mine is a sunburst from 2002. The best guitar I have ever played. I put elixir 11 round not flat to be more versatile
I like the idea that it's one of the few Jazz guitars with 22frets with the neck in to the body for short reach, more boutique builders should do this.
I bought Joe Cano's GB10 sunburst made in Japan. the story goes Geroge gave it to him when he played with him as a backup guitarist.. I got Joe's CD and his name was all over the case.. I believe it is a 1996 and I got it in 2006.. nice axe..
Well guys, I bit on the D'Angelico Premier SS, I found one for $351.00 Fed ex I hope it arrives safe. Thanks for all your Reviews Rich, and Wes, it helped me find what I wanted. Cheers ! And Gail, Thank you.
@@couryswan2448 I was lucky it arrived safe. Needs the typical fret level and lower nut slots. Very pretty, now if I can reach the tuners with this shoulder.
"The Ibanez guitar is magnificent and very comfortable to play. It's definitely very well designed and constructed. Certainly, it doesn't match up to the Gibson L5 or the Legrand, but the significant price difference between the GB-10 and these two wonderful Gibson guitars doesn't equate to the difference in sound. In other words, the Ibanez George Benson costs between 9 and 10 thousand dollars less than these excellent Gibson pieces, but the difference in the quality of their sound isn't as far apart as their prices are."
@45:40 ooh I am transported back to 1988 snazzy DX7 digi-brass and that hyper-simulcra of a "bass guitar"in the Korg M1 (as heard on Seinfeld). Makes the guitar sound relatively dull with almost no harmonic character; i.e. 'all butt, no bite'.
That Ibanez is pretty sweet,, I love the smaller body but not super into the floating pickups (personal taste) but I do love the size and feel of these guitars ,,, Hey Rich have you ever had your hands on an Ibanez Pat Metheny?
I thought the last Guitar Fest location was great. The folks in town were so nice. Being close to the Ocean was nice too. I got a nice room for $199, they were listed at $300 on the GF brochure.

Your technique is fascinating Rich, the economy of movement with small slides along the neck.
I like that too.
Great show as always 👏
Magic fingers and a magical Ibanez...does it get any better...no. Thank you so much Rich

THANKS, RICH!
Love the guitar.. What's the benefit of having floating pickups ?
Bravo that’s some great playing 👏👏
The perfect size jazz guitar for me. My only knock on the GB10 are the position markers. A little over the top for me. Simple dots are what I prefer.

Wow!! What a cool story behind that guitar!! That's awesome!

Actually I prefer the sound and depth of the Ibanez Artcore hollowbodys...they have a few cheeper parts on them but the tone is like butta.

way to go old man
Ones hands and soul determines the sound.
Was this GB 10 made in Japan?
yes
Nice playing 47:00
Can Gail say hello to us someday ?
You ate your Wheaties today!
My vote says no background music
You could make a cigar box sound great. I can't make a Gibson sound great, so I sold it 😅
The bg music is distracting.
Tell Wes to smoke a Jazz Cigarette before starting the show
I have no video playing, just a frozen thumbnail...
