  • In this video I do my best to show how to modify the out of the box ready to run car's front suspension to make it function more smoothly and ultimately function better. Can be done to all the cars that come with the factory plastic front end.

It does make a little difference. I learned it from RUclips but thought I could make a better video, easy to understand what needed to be done. Thanks and have a good day.

Great! My first mini-z video. I am new to 1:28 scale and little cars, very green. I'm a 1/8th scale short course truck and buggy enthusiast as well at 1/10 scale offroad short course trucks and buggies. A few years flying DJI drones Phantom 1 and 2.

Getting thru Life - just discovered mini-z a few weeks ago! Perfect size for a decent winter basement track. I used to race 1/10 a buggy, but that was over 20 years ago... supporting daughters activities... sadly, they were not interested in R/C stuff. But now, I’m thinking about getting back into R/C racing as I have more time again. Still not many tracks near me, so finding these little gems was a very pleasant surprise.

Thanks, I think I have to do this as my new car's front suspension binds.

You are better off polishing the kingpin and leaving the original factory design. The reason is upsprung weight. You have now taken the whole kingpin and made it a part of the moving suspension. Look for a video were someone shows you how to polish the kingtin with a Dremel tool. Hope this helps.

Maybe helpful to others, I sold mine after I got bored with the little cars. Very cool mini rc cars otherwise.

I honestly don't understand how this mod would help.. literally the same just upside down? How exactly does this make any difference? I've seen video's but not real explanation how it actually changes anything... just that it helps. Lol

The little suspension parts work a little smoother and has a little bit more workable travel due to this pretty simple modification. Stiff suspension movement and lack of travel is the opposite of what better/good suspension is about.
