Nice bit of periodic maintenance lesson. Some also just remove the top and or bottom cover and blow it clean with compressed air. I use hard bristle tooth brush to clean the gears myself. Would be good to see a run down of what periodic maintenance should be done and can break out into individual segments like this. These aren't very labor intensive kits but good to know what is recommended and how done.
My mr03 stays steering slightly the way I just turn. (If I turn left it doesn’t fully center, goes slightly left and same with right.) any advice would be appreciated
Try blowing out the steering gears with some compressed air, there may be some left over dirt left inside. Double check to make sure there isn't too much slop in the steering components as well, sometimes the inside of each steering knuckle gets worn where the kingpin sits.
You probably had 2 washers because the stock springs dpnt engage until its 2 washers high, so the car will have no dampening until that point anyway and it causes sticking.
Just got mine. Out the box the steering is messed up. I have the trim on the controller all the way to the left to straighten it out and it’s still slightly off :/ any tips?
Try setting the trim back to 0 on transmitter, then turn it off. Straighten the wheels by hand, then turn on just the car. After it's on, press and hold the bind button until it blinks fast, then turn everything off. Then turn transmitter and car on normally. See if that helps
@@rctactical5600 I feel like mine isn’t running fast. I did take it out of training mode but it still feels a little slow for brushless. I do have brand new batteries from the dollar store. Maybe that’s why?
Yes sir, I would try some batteries with a higher drain rating. There are plenty of options, I've been using EBL batteries from Amazon but you may have a local hobby shop that might have some good batteries to choose from. I have tried regular store bought batteries and they run very sluggish. Hobby grade rechargeable is the way to go
@@rctactical5600 so I have a Subaru charisma brushless 1/24. It comes with a itsy bitty 7.4v battery. It’s pretty quick. But I ended up plugging in my 2s lipo and man it’s freaking fast. Gonna gps it tomorrow.
How do you recenter your steering as soon as I turn my car and transmitter on the steering turns to one side and would you have any suggestions why my mini z will go in reverse but not forward it goes in reverse by itself
I would definitely start by checking the trim settings on your transmitter to start make sure all the "trims are close to 0" having your throttle trim too far in reverse will make what your describing happen. To recent steering, turn your transmitter off, leaving just the car on, center wheels by hand, then press and hold bind Burton until it fast blinks.
I don't see throttle trim on my transmitter there is just a high speed low speed and steering trim and that's the first thing I looked at and my steering trim where should be it's frustrating No one on RUclips shows anything about throttle or the steering problem I have I think I have to Center my steering but not sure how to do it
With the transmitter turned off, center the wheels by hand as straight as you can. Then turn on the chassis, press and hold the bind button until the light blinks quickly. Then you can turn your chassis back off. Once all that's done, turn your transmitter on, set steering trim to 0 and turn your chassis back on. Repeat if necessary! Let me know if you need any more help!

Absolutley, I did want to mention compressed air but that may not be available to everyone, especially people under 18 in some places.
Good to know !!! What happens if I do strip a screw out in chassis’s
Set it on fire!! Just kidding lol! Likely you could JB weld and retap. Or try the superglue gamble game!

What exact kit do you have? What does your transmitter say on the side of it?
I just uploaded a little clip on my RUclips channel if you could go check it out my transmitter is KT-19 perfex
Here is a link that may help you with the perfex controller,

how to reset the server?
