    Straight, clear and to the point. Thank you for that. Trying to decide if I'd actually need these after purchasing UAD's Distressor?

      Thank you very much. 🙂 Good question. The Distressor can do a great job of emulating an 1176. I have both, but the 1176 still tends to be my first choice for fast compression. This is largely down to its simplicity and how easy it is to dial in. I opt for the Distressor if I need greater control. So for me, perhaps it's more to do with workflow and familiarity with the 1176, because in terms of sound, the Distressor can absolutely get a similar result. Certainly, if I could only have access to one compressor, it would be the Distressor for its versatility.
