Agreed the other design even if the mechanism breaks gravity holds it in to the slot. You'd have to bump the camera up at the perfect angle to pop it off, it just won't happen. Those springs break and camera can pop right off.
@@IdRatherBeHiking Plus, I want to take the camera off and slip it on to the tripod. I don't want to have to change plates.
