I was looking for the CRV and the dealer showed me the HRV which is not bad. I do like the CRV look better but the price versus CRV and HRV is significantly different. I’m single now and thinking that maybe going with an HRV would be ideal since my kids are grown and I’m just driving to work and church. Thank you for the video it really helped

My one qualm about it is that I’m not the biggest fan of the color. I wanted moon gray or white but the bright blue was all they had available in my price range at the time
I bought the HR-V EX Silver, Black since I want a smaller car, don't drive much, don't need a larger engine, no kids and its actually an inch or two shorter than my old 1995 Civic which I still have! I don't like the interior look of the CRV especially the ugly faux brown wood. HR-V is my choice of a nice new car. There is one interior design flaw of the HRV which I should mention: The REAR headrests are too low and twist your neck forward making it impossible to sit comfortably in the rear! The only solution for this is too keep them raised. Hopefully someone will come up with a fix for that. THANKS!

The HRV is a wonderful vehicle!!! There are even cup holders in the doors on the basic models. USB and Power outlet. I was also torn but it is down to preference. The AWD with the HRV is amazing. We get a good bit of snow in the winter. My HR-V, which is a very basic model, was nearly 5,000 dollars cheaper than the CR-V. Excellent in the winter and heavy rain months though!!!
We were in the market for two vehicles in 2022 and we actually decided to go with both the CR-V and HR-V. We got them both in Aegean Blue Metallic so they look awesome sitting side by side on the driveway. Both are EX trim levels. The only difference is the CR-V is FWD while the HR-V is AWD. Very happy with our decision.
The crv model is better for the family, but I do not like turbo engines because the turbo shortens the life of the engine, so I will not buy it for this reason, although I love Honda cars and own two of them, the Accord and the Civic.
I think it just comes down to preference I had looked at both I ended up going with the HRV and again nothing against the other one but for my needs I like them all basic utility of the HRV I just needed something with a good stereo good AC good heat a good view of the road good fuel economy and a nice looking vehicle it's white it looks good gets me from point a to b and for me that was fine the interior was a bit plain but I bought some rather stylish seat covers from Amazon for a couple hundred bucks and now it looks more sporty some people might want a bit fancier a little bit quicker etc it all depends on what you want. I happen to live about 30 miles outside of Boston and I commute to the city on a regular basis the vehicle's fine one thing I noticed about the HrV and this is probably the same in the CRV. Excellent turning it can turn on a dime very short area love that. Are some of the auto reviewers claim the HrV is underpowered. I don't see a problem getting on the highway I live in Massachusetts it's crazy here on the highways we have so much damn traffic and I have no problem with this getting in and out getting up to speed at all. If I wanted a faster car I would have bought a Dodge Challenger.
Great comparison video. One thing you missed on the HRV is the magic seats in second row that pull up for different storage options. Unfortunately, those went away with the 2023 HRV, but I like them on my 2022 HRV.
My wife got a used 2022 Honda HR-V today with 22k mile on odometer. We originally went looking for an CRV but my wife said the CRV still seen to big for her. She is 4'10 and 125IB so she test drive the Honda HRV and like it more because its smaller and fit her lol. We ended up buying the HRV. but i'm never driving her Honda HRV because its to small for me. I'm 5'9 tall and 260IB. I drive an 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD OFFROAD 4X4
The HRV cost less gas money and it has a little less leg space by 2 inches and less ground clearance you can choose front wheel drive or all-wheel drive and the CRV has the same choice front wheel drive or all wheel drive it is just a bigger brother with a little bit more leg room by 2 inches with a little bit more tech but it costs a little bit more on gas money but it has a little bit more grand clearance
As a younger man, i chose the HRV EX. No kids so i don’t need a huge vehicle, even though they would easily fit comfortably plus the trunk/cargo area is huge. Also the HRV just looks a bit cooler imo (aggressive front // style lines across the sides). Not to mention the price 👍🏻
Hi.. Question: 1. why CRV has a greater horsepower than the HRV? I think HRV have a bigger engine? Is it because of the turbo charge of CRV??? 2. Why most people telling that HRV is more economical than CRV in terms of gas consumption??? Isn't it that HRV have a bigger engine??? Im confused now!
I don't know a whole lot about cars but would you say HRV when compared to the CRV is like the comparison between Toyota Corolla & the Camry? Similar but more compact and without the bells and whitlses
Well Phillip Paul when you looked at the front seat area of the HR-V you left out a big feature. There is a brake hold button that you can push and the suv will hold the brakes without having your foot on the pedal. Then when you hit the accelerator pedal the brakes are released. Does the CR-V have that?
