Georgie Fame - Getaway, Go Go Scope, 1968

It topped the UK singles chart in July 1966 for one week, and was the second number one for Georgie Fame, who would mark his final number-one single at the beginning of 1968 with "The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde".

Skegness 1966. Stayed on Scarborough Avenue. I was 5. Watched England win World Cup. So my older Brother says. Too young. This song was never off the radio.RIP Mum and Dad. Such lovely times.

He wrote this for a petrol ad in the States, but it was such a big hit he included it in his gigs!
