My fear was about not being expert-enough, something I later found out is called the impostor syndrome. I overcame it by constant action towards the direction of my dreams. One step closer every day. I still feel it sometimes, and when I do I start to think about all the positive feedback and appreciation I received from people I served. And things start to balance out. :)
What a powerful journey, Avram! Imposter syndrome is such a common roadblock among coaches, so great you've found a technique to help you overcome that and pursue your passion. Thanks for sharing ❤
This is interesting..... whenever I start feeling some sort of negative feeling or anxiety triggered by a present moment feeling or happening, I've taught myself to 1.) acknowledge the feeling 2.) ask myself where did it come from 3.) what am I going to do with it and 4.) take a deep breadth in and exhale slowly... It seems most of my fears are "past episodes" which my brain brings them to the present moment and I need to acknowledge them, before I let them go.
I have come to a place in my life where resisting my fear has become too exhausting- and annoying 🙄so I have decided to embrace it - not to fight it - by taking action everyday on something I have been afraid to do - showing up where I am - and not over evaluating any of it. Literally- just doing something daily that has scared me in the past. Today I raised my hand 🤚 in the new coaching group- I immediately wanted to put it down - then quickly got back into the mindset of my mission - and moved forward. I’m tired of disappointing myself too often by hiding behind my fears- After I shared - I started getting self critical- immediately noticed that old familiar ‘former’ habit and again- reset to my mission mindset. I gave myself the win and moved on! I’m clear on my current goals/ mission of serving people from my highest and best place -and this time - fear may continue to be a part of my journey- but it will not lead my way any longer! Thank you for your wise words- and for walking your talk with such authenticity- it’s inspiring ⭐️

Thank you so much for everything, for the service that you're giving out to the world. And all your videos, it means a lot to people like me.
Thank you, Ajit. I really resonated with this video, as it is what I have been working at in myself recently. I have just launched my first online course and have had to face a lot of fear about whether or not it will be accepted and achieve my expected outcome. I have also had to really put myself out there when it comes to doing videos for social posts, even though it is way out of my comfort zone. Thank you for sharing your experiences - it motivates and inspires me to keep going and not give in to fear or doubt. Courage is the only way to transform.

Love it. I would like to know more though about the small steps that could be used to turn fear into action. I often find that people struggle to come up with the small steps they could take and would love to know some more good examples.
Love this! I used similar questions to take my anxiety into a more excitement based feeling. I realized my fear from anxiety shared the same physical symptoms as my “overly excited anxiety” type of feelings
I read somewhere that fear is a response to a present threat. Whereas anxiety is the pseudo fear which is a response to an anticipated future negative outcome. Secondly when we respond in panic at a competition it's really anticipation- if the amygdala is activated towards a downward spiral - anxious thoughts cause paralysis. On the other hand if we are able to embrace the moment- there's expectancy n adrenaline rush.
Wow! Thank you for sharing this. Almost impossible to believe you thought you were not good enough. You are more than enough. I have these fears but this is making a difference. Thank you
I feel my journey has brought me to Life coaching. I went through alot of panic attacks, depression and anxiety and didn’t know who I was at all. Ajit, as I have said before in my posts, I am so glad you share with us. I always pick up nuggets of wisdom. The questions coupled with Mel's technique are powerful tools to have for our clients.
Ajit, hope fear don't stops you to continuing bring some good content for all of us! This was really helpful. Actually, I followed your advice and started my podcast. Is it perfect? Hope not, because this gives me the opportunity to keep improving my curiosity, love for learning and growing. ❤️
I really connect with what is said in this episode, however I find myself struggling with one thing and I believe this will come up with my clients in the future as well. If fears are programming from the past, isn't that the same as experiences of a certain outcome? Programming in the same sense as when you put your hand on the stove as a kid taught you to never do that again? And how do you remove the fear from that happening again? Convincing yourself to put your hand on the stove again, when the outcome of previous attempts are your only experiences? So for example, one person being afraid of public response might have had true experiences with bullying, or being talked about behind their backs etc. So that is something the person is expecting to happen because for him/her it's a human behaviour in others that you can't get rid of. Some people judge. Some people bully. Then it feels more like a fear that you have to push through knowing that some people might judge you, talk ill about you, and accepting that that is ok. Rather than "it's just past programming." I hope you understand my thoughts and question.
Hi Alexandra, great question and you are right. A lot of fears are learned behaviors that helped us with acts like not putting our hands on the stove :-) The inquiry I would have for the clients is to help them realize that there are bullies in the world, and there are nice people. Great people. If we focus our thinking on great people that are willing to help, it supports action towards outcomes we truly want. Fear of a bully will stop us from creating our future, excitement for supporters will help creating future. It is much to do with the thinking of the past event and the creation in future.
@@ajitnawalkha6019 Thank you so much for taking time to respond Ajit. And you are right. Even if the fear is based on reality and fact, we still need to learn how to change our focus - to search for the beauty and not lean on the pain. For the beauty is just as real. And that's easy to forget when you're intertwined with fear. Thank you.
Another trick is to consider the anxious voice as an anxious child in my back seat warning me of cars n obstacles on the road. I acknowledge the child n assure the kid that I've heard him. N assure him I'll ne careful n have been driving this car (body) for 64yrs. We've had good years
These are great questions for my clients, however, I will also use them for myself. I have a fear of dogs I would love to get rid of. I don't visit people with dogs.
