- Jack Rourke, an experienced street racer, finds himself in serious trouble with the Mob due to a massive debt with them. After narrowly escaping being crushed within his car at a scrapyard in Oakland, due to his failure to repay what he owes, Rourke evades his captors by stealing one of their cars. Heading to San Francisco, he makes contact with his friend Sam Harper, a fixer who arranges his entries into street races, who offers to help him deal with the mob on one condition - Rourke must enter an illegal, large-scale street race from San Francisco to New York, for which she will front the entry fee, and win the race's cash pot of $25 million for her. Rourke agrees to her condition, knowing that he will be allowed to keep 10% of the prize money for himself, and receives a tablet device from the race's mysterious organizer that details the race's route.
As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to stitch together a fluid cinematic experience.

Little did people know that NFS: The Run’s storyline is almost similar to (or at least foreshadowed and predicted) the same style as Squid game, where both protagonists are up to their heads in debt by extortionists and compete in a dangerous, deadly and high-stakes game against hundreds of others all in the name of a large sum of prize money, risking their lives just to win, and believing that the money would be the answer to all their problems.
also, you can see that the movie Need for Speed (2014) was heavily inspired by NFS The Run

I always thought the SS El Camino was OP. There's no freaking way it could keep up with a Pagani. BTW, this is my favorite NFS.

Despite the segments that were just passing cars were alot the actual story segments were great

Bruh I just finished beating the game an hour ago then this popped up
After MW nfs kinda failed to capture "Something new" For the series. They always were strong in one or two areas but failed on the others. Carbon had a good atmosphere and even a good "Team" Management to play with but failed on the rest, Pro street had a good Atmosphere too and even a rooster of characters but that Game was GOD AWFUL and Undercover well... We know how that ended. Playing The run I realized that Black box had a Amazing story on their hand, story were no longer something to be on the background like in other titles, story was the focus and I really like it but unfortunately any Nfs that came After U2 "HAD" to be open world soo unfortunately The Run Flooped HARD.
What we really need is game with a Good and well paced city (Or cities) I really like the ideas of unlocking parts of a city instead having everything from the get go. We need a good/Varied OST like all games before Undercover. A good and well directed story Like THE RUN and the same gameplay as heat cause that game had the right Gameplay for sure. Do this and you will have a 8/10 NFS GAME at least

What I really don't get with this game, is that the Mob, whose actively chasing Jack, are given a pass from the police to shoot up everything, even civilians in that one cutscene.
Like what in the goddamn frikkin toast is that logic?
I get it, both want Jack out of the play, but they should've mentioned something along the line in the police intercoms about a pecked out gunship helicopter roaming downtown.

No one mentionned the speed of the metropolitan in NYC final race ? Like when did an urban train go 130+ mph ? It doesn't even have time to reach that speed it already has to stop to the next station. I know it is just a game but there is something called suspension of belief. I know they want an action movie but then you have to adapt the scenario instead of forcefully making something stupid look cool. Laziness.
