This game feels super dated now, it's kind of crazy looking back. But it was a great game in its day. But it did lead to Killzone 2 and 3, which are imo some of the best shooters in the PS3 era. There's not much story that goes on in between in the cutscenes, but I left a little extra gameplay in just to reminisce. Some amazing cutscenes for its time.
The control scheme for 2 was dogshit, and the Helgast "MG-42" clone was decent, all I remember about killzone. Always liked the extended lore and story though, just wish it played better.

It was my favorite game from my childhood. And can we all appreciate a game from so long ago with this (simple but) good charachter writing ?

If you read the whole backstory to Killzone, both the ISA and the Helghast are in the wrong, you should be rooting for Earth, not the two sides in the actual games, neither are necessarily good.
You know I think Sony really needs to revive the Killzone series I feel like Gorilla Games doesn't care about the Killzone series anymore since they are so highly focused on the horizon series don't get me wrong I consider Horizon zero Dawn and forbidden West game of the year but they need to revive the Killzone series by remaking the first KillZone game for PS4 and PS5 this will help entice new gamers get into the Killzone series and even make a new multiplayer mode that is similar to Killzone 3
Honestly, I had nostalgia for this game. Just a shame that the series that had so much potential, didn’t really go so far as it could have been. Such an interesting lore that should’ve amounted to something but didn’t. I just wished more was done for it.
Its ironic that the game sucks so much but the story is amazing. Thanks a lot for the video. Now i dont have to feel like i wanna throw up everytime i have to push through this painful game just for understanding its great story.

the setting atmoshpere and look of the enemies are cool. but the gameplay is so slow and clunky, and at times infuriatingly shit. it very much feels like the first baby steps into modern fps games, and it does not pull it off succesfully. and the remastered version has terrible blurry cutscenes, like they ripped the scenes from a youtube channel. i guess they lost all the assets. what comes after is cool, but this game in current date is not worth anyones time. just whats a cutscene movie like this.
Fun fact: the Actor who does the Helghast Leader speech is the Fabulous Brian Cox who has been in about a billion kick ass movies including Super Troopers 1 and 2, Nuremberg, Churchill and even played alongside Johnny Knoxville in the Ringer; which I’m sure the SJWS and Leftist Hollywood would never allow know. Watch your freedoms disappear now that Biden’s here! Brian Cox was in Jason Bourne Trilogy and he is talking up McDonald’s with his killer Scottish Accent’ why do kick ass people come from Scotland?
