The Run is one of my favorite NFS games. The story is cheesy but the atmosphere is great. Everything is so visceral and intense. Great sounds, great feeling of speed and high stakes. I was freshman in HS when this game came out. For this game, I saved up money to buy an AMD Graphics Card. It was Radeon 6450. Believe it or not, I still have the physical copy of this game and the Graphics Card installed on my PC. It was a Dell Inspiron 560. I didn’t even meet the system requirements, but I still played the living crap out of this game out of all the crashes and lags... I bought this again on PS3 Not trying to show off or anything but I know almost all the turns in every stage. I was pretty good at this game. I have some Multiplayer gameplay on my channel. This was one of the best NFS game in my opinion. I would happily pay more than 60 bucks for a remaster...
It’s modded, that’s a car that was suppose to be the the game but got removed. And thru modding you can get it but it looks like that.Or it’s just a modded car.
The Run always seems to be weird with the snow trail effects on Windows 8 and up, doesn't it? Also, uh... i think you happened upon the paint/materials test model on 7:40, but why is it attached to a car...
So they could run through the game and check all the lightings and reflections. What better ways to do it than, you know, bounding all the paint+material balls to an invisible car? I believe there's also a gigantic chromed egg test car for the same purpose as well.
one of the best nfs ... it's a shame that it's underestimated, but the idea of crossing the country with those endless freeways with gigantic mountains in the background ... and all kinds of landscapes, with those graphics .., I would have liked a "real" scale (of the whole journey), as much as possible without loading screens, (or at least only in a service station to recharge gasoline etc) but the idea of the game itself is excellent, (beyond its physical or graphics, or gameplay etc), a pity that a second title has not come out
I love how it puts so much pressure on you especially when its on extreme difficulty which I'm doing now, still stuck on the stupid timer on stage 6, already beat three difficulties

@zachary burdette I could see that. Considering the cars themselves sound pretty the same when they're modified and stock with no audible changes from the modifications aside from the faster revving. Not to mention, the super build cars don't have a sound effect swap when they get super built and have clear supercharged V8 engines in them. But I will say, I like that in NFS payback you could hear the straight cut gear whine from the all the cars when they're pretty modified.
How do I get this? Do you use Frosty Editor or something else? I cannot get Frosty Editor to work for this game EVEN THOUGH it's frankly Frostbite and *should* work.

To me The Run was so so. 14:17 was the only truely exciting race, through the whole game. Dodging the rocks, the incoming avalanche. Very heart pumping. All the other races didn't produce the same effect. They had a lot of potential with this game. It was a bit of a disappointment

Nfs is a ea title. Ea likes to stop managing programs that support games that 'run their course' your better off buying the model on steam or find a coder/moder because it's sounds like your missing some critical code that's used to even launch the game.

You can only do it with tier 5 or 6 cars anything below will just get eaten by the rock.
Tier 5 cars can do it as well, just pick anything with a top speed of 210mph+ and boost through the final bit of the avalanche race

The weird snow trail effect is caused by the framerate. Tested on a Windows 10 PC. 30 FPS makes the particles act normal - above it and the get crazy.

Nfs run really did felt fast..It was more of an adrenalin pump than any other nfs.
