That train was FLYING through there. Now I know trains go faster during the night because where I live you can feel the house vibrate when they FLY on the tracks near where I live, but when they go at a decent speed you don't feel anything. Thanks for the video man.
Thanks. Oh man, if you ever get to Berea, OH, you'll see CSX blitzing by up there just like this one did. Those CSX intermodals go by at almost 50 mph.
I used to work across the way from Coraopolis on 'Neville Island' where I was a guard at the 'Vulcan Metals' plant, having left there for other employment in 1988. Ten years later, I was working at the Campus Police / Public Safety department of Robert Morris University just outside of Coraopolis. Our department 'Sargeant' was then and yet is now, a Coraopolis Police Officer. 👍 I live in England now since 2003.
Fun Facts , The P&LE train station on the left was home for the Station house auto parts . which is still in business today . the building on the right of the tracks once was the A&P Super market and also The BIG D odds and ends store . the building on the corner was the American Lafrance fire truck assemble . there was also a tunnel that used to go beneath the crossing , but was filled in the late 60's. this used to have a 4 track main line . 2 for passenger & 2 for freight .
I've seen you've looked at a couple abandoned buildings in my town of Middlesex, NJ. There's an interesting building hidden behind a little bit of forest nearby the McDonald's you explored in the park next to the high school. I'm not sure if it would be trespassing but I've been there a couple times with my friends.
Thank you so much for this!! I truly enjoyed it. But the thing is I’ve got a serious ocd of counting everything and train 🚂 cars is definitely on my list this train went so fast I couldn’t keep up with it! Haha but I was able to count at least 140 cars. I’ve never seen a train haul A$$ like this one! Thank you and be safe!
Wallie dear is there a lesser form of brain damage??? I'm just curious. And that train must have hit some black ice with the speed he was moving. Great video.

Great night photography. Many of those CSX coal hoppers were rebuilt from Conrail hoppers.

I haven't seen that many coal hoppers on a train yet. I tell you what those CSX trains are fast movers. Haven't seen a slow CSX yet. Great capture.
