- Railfanning In A Snowstorm! Homestead, PA. Enjoy a few trains passing through the Homestead area of Pittsburgh by the Waterfront Shopping Center and the old Homestead Train Station. An expected snow storm was just heading into the Pittsburgh region but conditions were still okay enough for me to film and get home safely. We had been out that direction most of the day and were wrapping up and about to head home when the snow storm arrived. Gave me the opportunity to get a few trains in with the snow. Enjoy!

As a Pennsylvanian all my life, I'm used to the snow and cold. It doesn't phase me. Kayla gets nervous because she's not used to it but I make sure I keep her safe at all times. We're getting ice now. Nothing major yet. 24 degrees isn't that bad for us up here. We've had several nights already near 0°. Usually get handful every winter especially in January. Kayla's parents keep us in the loop and said in their area in North Texas it was getting down to about 17° lately. I know yall ain't used to that so I hope yall stay warm.

There is one that follows heritage units for several rail companies however all reports on the locomotives' whereabouts are user based. But it is definitely helpful!
