Dr. Kamealoha is a family medicine doctor (or possibly an internal medicine doctor). Either way she is primary care, at least that is my guess based on the variety of things she treats (although frankly that doesn't add up because she also does major surgery.) Ultimately because it's a Disney kids show she is a "whatever specialty she needs for this weeks episode" doctor.
@@kitkatlove89 She graduated medical school when she was 14 though, and is now 16. The only residency that would be only 2 years long is family med. Family doctors can have a wider scope of practice, like working in internal med, the ER department, or even doing basic surgeries/surgical assists (especially in rural areas where there aren't as many specialists)
She is actually in her residency, going through her different rotations in the show. She is not yet a physician. In one of the episodes, she asks for help from an expert physician because she says she is not specialized in that area.
I really liked your approach to this - you didn’t spend time bashing the show & it’s inaccuracies but explained terms, what you would do, your previous experiences, etc. Great video!! Thanks for spending extra time to do this - being an emergency doctor in NYC is no joke! Bless you ❤️
The new series of Doogie Kamealoha is taking place in the island of Hawaii, because the original series was originally series of Doogie was originally set in California, which I loved more then anything else in the world.
When you have a patient who passes in a similar situation, where you get to know the patient, do you ever get a moment to step away like he did to get your thoughts together and process before moving on? Or do you have to just push it back sometimes and keep going to the next patient?
The patient who had a heart disease, didn't look like he had one. To me, at least. Anyways, this is a good video. Idk why there aren't that many reaction videos for the show, since even the blurb is... like "red flags" all over the place. P.S. Would you consider reacting to Tokyo MER next? It's a Japanese medical drama and it's available in D+ in Indonesia, but idk if you can find it. I think it's worth a shot
ITS 4 am here and i am still here lol. Finishing up with assignment and studying a lot but as i saw the notification 🙃🤑. Btw low you jamie and ellie cat😉.
I’m sorry, how are you not just reacting to this like WTF?!? For instance in the first scene when she checked for pupil dilation with an itty bitty flashlight while the sun was shining in his face. What? I know you didn’t show that moment in this video but why are you just glossing over all the bad science in this show!
As a physician, this show is too focused on unlikely medical scenarios. Too dramatic and very unrealistic. I get it’s a show but come on, it isn’t a sci-fi program. Even my kids laugh when she starts with her peculiar medical romp.

I think she's a general surgeon since she has to do a lot of different procedures

Jaime is just too nice lol I liked hearing about the proper emergency treatment in the beginning it’s very cool

Most of you are probably too young to remember the original Doogie Houser show but this is the premise of the first episode of the original show! Lol.
I loved her face when the "doctor" was looking at her pulses first.
I LOVE this RUclips channel soooooo much!! It's so peaceful and intriguing learning from you 🙏! We love you Jamie!!!!
way more positive review than what I would have made haha. Some of these decisions would get your license revoked
i loved peyton so i was really excited to see her in a new show and i absolutely love it sm!
Loving these reaction videos!
That was fun. Been meaning to check this show out myself as well. I think I'll like it.
Thanks for the vid!
Lol Disney portraying “bleeding out”
This just made my day
It’s just for this episode to avoid making it tv14

Jesus Christ loves you
Miss your vlogs!! I love the video, btw!
It's the same opening scene (almost) as in Doogie Houser M.D. from the 90s... :)
Almost all the episodes are like Doogie Howser besides the 2nd season.
I loooove that show
please do another reaction to another episode of this series!!!
I think that they had to use less blood for the debut scene or else they would have had to make the show tv-14 😆
the one suprising me in this video is the fact that barney Stinson is a doctor before??
wow!

Remember it's Disney they don't want to show too much blood or gore
I just watched the second season today and the performers look like they’ve aged a lot compared to the first. 😮
I love your expressions ...

They just reused the entire Doogie Howser script.
You should also react to disney jr medical show.
This sounds like a Doogie Houser rewrite with a girl instead of a boy.😮
Hi Jamie!😀
Hope you are doing good 😀

I was 🙀 about the monitor 😂😂🌃
Disney should stick to princesses

It’s a show about a teen dramedy about a teen doctor it’s not supposed to be realistic it’s supposed to be fun
Lighten up
@@madnessarcade7447 this ain’t fun. The show is a fantasy. Teaches kids that anyone can do it which is dangerous
This show should be canceled right now
Why?
Worst show ever
