As an indian resident doctor, I did 72 hour shifts continuously over weekends for 6 years and 36 routine shifts twice a week. There was intense competition between residents esp when it came to getting any cutting opportunities but on a personal level most of us lived through the shifts like family !
@@samaelmalkira9420if you’re sleep deprived for 72 hours, your memory starts to google, your hand and eye coordination will suck, you’ll start shaking amd will probably have delusions/see weird things. They defiantly sleep for at least at least 4 hours every day of the 3 day shift.
Lol now being a fourth year med student applying into residency I agree this program is full of red flags. Didn’t realize any of that watching this episode in middle school.
Honestly, the scene where Miranda is starting a central line for Izzie, she says something like, “The next time you wake me he better be so close to death there’s a tag on his toe,” saying something like that in front of a patient is unprofessional in my opinion and should’ve waited until they were in private if she was going to say something like that. It would be awkward for me to hear as a patient if the doctor said something like that in front of me. Just my thoughts.
I love your reactions so much. Such an insight. I see a lot of doctors reacting to Grey's and it's great, really. Love watching them with all interest. However, I just wish more people, especially doctors, will react to ER as well. I'd love to know what physicians think of it, because that show was the greatest medical show I have ever watched so far, and I've watched quite a lot. It was just so different from all of the other shows - the pacing and everything. It really felt like you are in the moment with them. In my humble opinion, I really think ER paved the way for most medical shows right now. I think it was, in its own ways, kind of revolutionary and WAY ahead of its time. And just the character Dr Kerry Weaver alone could prove that I think.
i hope you do more episodes :) doctors only show what's wrong in the episode, it was the first time i watch someone give some reason and explain that Greys Anatomy has something there to simulate an actually day of a doctor
My son has health issues and has been in and out of the hospital for testing. I don't know what I would do if something happened to him. I wouldn't be able to handle something like that.
This is far from the OG, you have St Elsewhere, ER, MASH. I guess this particular react could be the OG Grey's Anatomy, meaning the first season. I'm guessing that's what you meant because Grey's is still going on and certainly not old school medical dramas.

woa... I am now really terrified of my future
Haha can related to this
Prolly a dumb question but are you allowed to sleep while on shift? I can't imagine someone being of sound mind and body after 72 hours not sleeping
@@samaelmalkira9420 probably depends on the situation

I think the OG medical drama would be ER. Lol
i would love to see more of this, maybe other episodes or even other medical shows 🥰
love you Jamie!!!!! so happy to see you upload a video 💜

Jamie pls pls plsss react to House MD. I can't wait😂
That show is great.
I love your reaction videos so I clicked on this instantly!!
Wow, you're an er doctor now!! I remember watching you being an Intern

In my opinion: The OG medical drama is ER
Yay!!! Can you do House MD next? Love these ❤️
Great video! But I don’t think Grey’s is the “OG medical drama”. That honor should go to “ER”!
I just realized the ecg colors aren't universal, in Italy we have yellow/red/black/green counterclock wise starting top left, white in the middle
Instead of making promises, it’s better to reassure the patient and tell them “we will do our best and your in good care. “ or is that bad too?
I like how you skipped all the drama
I love your videos so much!! for real haha
jamie! you should react to scrubs hehe
yes scrubs please!!!
Nice one, jamie. I do hope you could also react to Code Black 🥰

I never really realised how similar human medicine is to med vet 👀
HOW DO YOU DO SUCH EDITING
We call the brown lead the chocolate heart 😉 lol
OG medical drama??? Ever head of ER?
yang?
Please please speak with more inflection in your voice. Insights may be good but your speech is too monotone for me. Could not listen for too long.
