- I get the Doogie Howser comparison a lot! Having a late birthday and finishing an accelerated med school program meant that I was in Med School by age 20! I had to watch Doogie Howser M.D. and see for myself if this boy prodigy really knows his stuff. Neil Patrick Harris, I see you.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode of Real Doctor Watches Doogie Howser M.D. / Real Doctor Reacts to Doogie Howser M.D. If you want me to continue making this doctor reaction video and medical drama review please give it a like and leave me a comment on which tv drama or show you'd like for me to review next. there was never any resolution for him being molested and humiliated in front of all the adults (I thought they all wanted to rape him when I was a kid watching the show) and the first woman was just the start of a string of rapes by all the adult men and women he would have to endure while trying to practice medicine. I wouldn't qualify a 16-year-old as a "child."
Minor, yes. Under the legal age, yes.
Either way, if the woman was truly trying to "play doctor" with him, she would be out of a job and facing charges.
@@isaacgleeth3609 I work with teenagers, and trust me they're children. They just think they're grown but when you listen to their thought process, immaturity and group influence, it just screams children lol.
Real lawyer reacts: that was actually a pretty accurate legal argument about how the patient would lose his lawsuit against the hospital, EXCEPT where Doogie says the hospital owes no duty regarding his age. They could be liable for negligent hiring if Doogie was terrible at his job due to his age.
But would he have been hired if he had been terrible at his job? Do child prodigies make for bad first time employees statistically? Could the hospital have known about this realistically?
curious how they could tie him being terrible to his age since there are older doctors who could be terrible?
@@BattleStar_Yolettica they could probably tie him being worse to his age because of the fact that his brain isn’t fully developed yet

AnotherCrazyClown it’s gross because she is an adult woman trying to seduce a 15 year old, not because he’s a kid that’s “curious”
Honestly I think Doctor Mike called it; the age of the "victim" in that scenario is pretty secondary to the fact that those idiots thought it would be funny in the first place. I mean, the entire premise of the "joke" relied on him actually finding her somewhat attractive, and taking advantage of that to embarass him. It was a serious error in judgement on the parts of the people who set it up.
Would it have been so bad if it was a serious thing for the two of them? That's... debatable. But kind of irrelevant to what it actually was, so there's little point in debating it.
100% agree with doctors having appropriate emotional reactions. My son's pediatrician had tears in his eyes when we told him that our senior dog passed away. It was so hard for our son since this was his best buddy all of his life. Doc was very sympathetic (as a father and dog owner) and suggested ways to help him process the loss.

The nurse that was most attentive to my grandpa when he passed was so amazing. She sat with him often and talked with my grandma a lot. And when he passed she was emotional and it was really nice for my grandma to share that moment with her. She still talks about it

I think it just needs to be appriciated that NPH is one of the few former childstars that didnt go insane or became addicted.
Good on him. He instead grew into an amazing adult actor and the king of halloween.
I think it needs to be understood that most child actors experience a lot of trauma on set and they have way too many responsibilities and adoration at too young of an age. They develop completely differently, of course it affects their personality and mental health. While it is amazing and definitely a good thing that we never saw any bad of him, I implore you not to judge those who turned out different too harshly
12:12 , I had lost my son after eight days to being born at 24 weeks, severe edema, failed kidneys, shot liver, and a grade 3 brain bleed. TheJjcczz Yep, her name is Michaela Quinn. The show is set in the late 1800s (right after the civil war) in Colorado (western frontier) and when the city hired her, the telegraph operator wrote down her name as “Michael A. Quinn” so they were expecting a man. When she arrived, most of the townsfolk refused to see a “lady doctor” but a few of them took her under their wing (she was from Boston and definitely not suited to frontier life). Some of them nicknamed her Dr. Mike. :)

Hahaha thank you for this reaction! I’m actually binge watching this show! 💙😆
I was 20 weeks pregnant when I found out my baby had a very serious heart defect. Right after that I had to take my son to the pediatrician. She could tell something was wrong but just asked if I had been feeling okay. I burst crying and loaded the whole thing. She cried along with me. It was one of the most comforting things that happened during that time. She was a huge advocate for us with the other doctors while my baby was in ICU 2 hours away having her surgery, which had complications and an 8-week ICU stay. Btw, that baby is now a thriving (and sassy) 7-year-old! ❤️
Doogie Howser: September 16, 1989.
Dr. Mike: I wasn’t even born yet!
I hate you. 😜
Did not realize Dr Mike and I were that close in age.
That journal entry was 2 years and 4 days before I was born.
Omg I was born in 1986 so im older than dr mike?!
I turned 12 on that exact same day 😊

@@gokmensrt when he was a kid. I think this was his first show.
Barney Stinson!
Have you ever heard of Gary Oldman and David Tennant? Just asking for a friend.
My doctor cried when my first child died during birth. Never forget Dr. Cheng 1976.
You're making me feel really old Dr. Mike. (I'm 38). I remember watching Doogie Howzer when I was younger and loved it. My 3 older kids (17,12 and 9) have watched it as well and really enjoyed it.
"don't talk to me, you're not my father!"
Me: "*you not my dad!*"
You’re right doctor mike, MOST of us do *not* like to be sniffed😂
Oh crap that's what I'm doing wrong lol 😂😂😂
Most?
Yes we do not like that 😂🤣
In the right scenario y'all do
Its really creepy
“That was a weird handshake, what was that?” It was the 80’s Doc, it was a strange and glorious time.
What is more interesting is that he called a double high five a handshake.
Omg Joshua!!! YES I was looking for this comment haha
