How I Met Your Mother has the most realistic series arc of all time for a sitcom. People grow up, they move away for jobs, they get divorced, they get sick and die, etc…. It would’ve been very easy for the show runners to write an ending in which everyone is happy, and have happy marriages, and happy kids, and happy lives, and live happily ever after, but it’s that’s not real life. Occasionally I'll see previews for something that's only available through a subscription service that I'd really like to watch, but again, it would be a waste of money for me to purchase a subscription just to watch one documentary or whatever.
I am mad they didn't start there. That was his big start.
I know he said at the end he doesn’t want to host the tony awards again, but nobody has come close to his level since he did it. I really think he’s the guy for it, although Ariana did a very good job this year.
This isn’t fair Barney had a whole playbook of iconic characters…
I know Barney parodies everything toxic about being a man but nontheless...
That charackter entered my life in a critical moment and helped me as a gateway to form an ego I desperately needed. Because if a caricature like Barney can have self estem, a normal person should have no problems having some for themself.
Thank you Mr. Harris. Your performance will be forgotten in time for reasons I do not understand but you saved me.
Back in 1997, I saw NPH as Mark in the La Jolla PlayHouse production of "Rent." He absolutely crushed the role. Funny, that upon subsequent viewings of Rent, I realized it's an ensemble production, and that Mark is not the main protagonist. NPH was that good in the role- he stole the whole show.
👆
Wish he would talk about his amazing award hosting gigs. He is the best at that!
Just finished Uncoupled, loved it! Really hope it gets a second season.
Same👏.
Brooks Ahsmanskas ♥️ is my favorite character, love him so much. Is so talended.
Barney trying to track down the Robin Sparkles videos are the funniest
“Barney” stole the show of HIMYM. I don’t think they intended on him being so much of the focus.
I HATED how they ended the show.
11:04 never thought I'd hear that out of Barney
WHERE IS DR HORRIBLE'S SING ALONG BLOG?! A TRUE MASTERPIECE!
Who doesn't love this guy? seriously? I mean, coming out was a bit of a shock for those of us who grew up with him, but he's always been good in everything I've ever seen him in. Though I haven't seen his last show, I guess.....not exactly my type of show. But almost kind of sad that I haven't seen it because I'm sure he's excellent in that too.
Why not watch one episode before you make your mind up that it isn’t your type of show ?
How I Met Your Mother was the first show that made me feel deep............ I love this dude.
NPH is one of those rare talents that actually has a shot at an EGOT.
He's in a rather special class, having won an Emmy for hosting the Tonys.
"I kept trying to be in movies but I was just a TV person." - Neil Patrick Harris
Times may have changed a bit but this is still true for me. Kudos to NPH for his film acting credits and for helping to create iconic characters on the... small screen.
This man's charisma is unmatched
One of the great character actors ever. NPH is absolutely incredible!
When he said the frat guys don't follow through enough I had a really good laugh. NPH is a legend
The first time I saw him was in the show "lemony Snicket series of unfortunate events" and I loved him so much!
It’s my favorite sitcom ending of all time. I know everyone disagrees, and wants that fake happy ending nonsense that every other sitcom has, but we’ll just agree to disagree. 😉😭
🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Same. It is the same reason I like the ending of LA LA Land, life isn't always happy or constant. Like Ted, I wish we could have had more time with the mother, but I adore all the moments we had with her!
Totally agree with you on that part, life is all and nothing at the same time and it's great they showed both sides
Wow. That’s actually really well said. The finale of HIMYM may not be loved, but it is realistic.
I think what most people have a problem with is that Ted got his happy ending with Robin and that just felt so wrong
THANK you. It's actually genius
This guy is simply an amazing actor! He might not have done the most serious roles, but OMG he is amazing! And I am so exited about having another season of his new show! :D
He is such a wonderful actor!
Look up the Neil Patrick Harris Amy Winehouse cake, guys.
i've been watching a series of unfortunate events and i just love him in it. so grandiose and over the top. love it.
Him in smurfs was the best in my opinion
I've seen a lot of NPH's movies and shows, and Dr Horrible is my favorite part of his. The songs slap in that! Really bummed they didn't include that role.
Neil is INCREDIBLE as Hedwig!!! I struggle to believe that this was his first time doing drag, he is just so natural.
i just realized both the people in the car at 0:37 were in HIMYM
And dated with the same woman
Still sad that they did not ask him about his role in a series of unfortunate events where he absolutely rocked the role
Oh man! I wanted to hear NPH talk about, "A series of unfortunate events". I loved him in the Netflix series.
But what I found weird is that they made it over into a movie with Jim Carrie. I love Jim but I absolutely loved NPH as Olaf
I think you need to look up the release dates of both adaptations.
He is absolutely right that the CGI still holds up in Starship Troopers
NPH played it so well in Harold and Kumar.
...and Starship Troopers 👌🏻
I really enjoyed him as the Music Meister on Batman the Brave and the Bold.
Geez. Love what he does with every role. And bares his uncertainty and insecurity about working in a crazy industry like a trooper. 😉
"and SUIT UP" is one of the most iconic TV lines ever!
It would be awesome to see Neil Patrick in more comedies this dude hilarious.
