From an old guy, you tolerate dad very well. Can you talk to my kids? :)
As to the Seneca, you are so lucky to be flying a proper trainer. I encourage you to train your ears to fine tune the props. Your passengers will love you for it. BTW, the point of exercising the props during runup is to get hot oil into the governor. You want those ready to go when it’s time to feather one.
Fly in trim, force yourself to stay on altitude and heading, and every airplane you fly in the future will be a breeze.
Someone needs to check Kay for whiplash ... That was the quickest head turn I have ever seen when Pops made that "skip the checklists" remark 🤣
I really appreciate that you always, ALWAYS, use the checklist.
I think Mystic has given Pops a new energy he is bringing to the channel! It’s fun to see!
I was gonna say the same thing!! Love Pops!
Totally agree
Howdy Kay and Pops! Thanks for taking us along. Consider an upgrade to the Nav lights. Combination of standard/factory lights and ultra bright strobe. In IFR conditions the strobes can be turned off. And I don't want to be a downer, but research the bike batteries for fire threat. If they can't be shipped by air carrier something is amiss. See you next time 🤠
Great video! Can’t wait to see it and meet you in person at Oshkosh 2024 this summer!
Cheers 🥂 Mystik & Kay!
Wishing You Blue Skies & Tailwinds!

Hoover sent me here! Love your channel! Keep up the good work, I’m so intrigued!
Welcome, happy you’re here!!
Dad "are you feeling better now?"
haha
The faster Kay talks the more confident she is.
good
Kay, I wanted to mention now how much of an outstanding pilot you are. Your decision making, communications, and risk management are top notch. Oh, and you continue to be the "checklist queen"! Checklists will save your bacon and good pilots always use them! I love the way you talk through what you are doing and why. I am sure your videos have helped and inspired a lot of pilots in training and those that aspire to be pilots. Hopefully many of them are women; we need more women pilots in the skies!
Nice job and aircraft. You rode right past my plane that was parked at the terminal. The blue and white twin. I came in the day before. Enjoying the videos.
Thank you! Sorry, I would’ve waved or said hi!! Hope you had a fantastic flight Leonard!
@@FlyWithKay I did, thank you.
I KNOW Pops was kidding about skipping safety check, as you really ARE the Queen of safety, there is Never an excuse for skipping checklists, and that is one of my things i tell everyone, your always looking out for safety and no matter how hot or cold checklists are a must and a life saver - Proud of you Kay! LOVE the twin engines, i feel better about the trips now :) ❤💯🙏 Keep the BLUE side UP! much love and prayers from SE Texas Bear
Love watching these clips w/you and your Dad... Seneca 484 Happy Papa!
Yeah I would keep those batteries out of the bikes and within reach while flying. i'm sure they're very safe but it just takes one bad battery out of the bunch to cause a major problem in the air. Batteries can go bad at any time and when they do it's a spontaneous event. Having it within reach and the ability to open a door or window at altitude and toss it out could save lives. I'm former aerospace and can tell you stories about systems we've had that were battery assisted and have lost entire projects (millions of dollars) that went up in just a few seconds as the result of extremely stout battery systems that went critical without notice or warning. Love the content.
That is such good advice ! UPS lost a lot of equipment due to those batteries failing -
Thanks for suggesting that . Good stuff -
Two things I know for sure, you are not former aerospace and you seem to think that she's an idiot. She been flying for years, you are still trying to figure out how to make a paper airplane. She doesn't need your help

great advise!
Really like your videos! Great camera placement on the new bird
Nice panel. One piece of advice from a glass panel instructor who had a client learn the hard way, always make sure the SkyView system is fully booted before engaging the starter. It is possible that the SkyView system will not fully boot up, leaving you with no way to monitor your engine systems. My client let the engine run unmonitored for several minutes with the engine running and, unknown to him, no oil pressure. Needless to say it led to a lot of some very expensive problems.
Kay, thanks again for such a great video.
Thank you for watching! So so glad you enjoyed it🥰
Sounds like the adventures in the new plane are starting off well. Getting to learn the new equipment and and getting everything to be second nature as far as all the instruments and whatnot. Always learning and moving forward, and that's awesome.
I was about to say you should both be wearing helmets then you agreed Kay. :-) By far the most dangerous part of that trip was the cycling bit.
Another great video. Its nice to see your confidence and skill with a seamless transition to MystiK . You never fail to please.
Wow thanks Steven! I’m glad you enjoyed the video!! I’m definitely feeling much better than I did on my first flight that’s for sure😂
If you were the Pilot on a commuter of a Major Airline I would feel very comfortable with you being the Pilot. You are very focused and very good at explaining what and how things work.
😂😂
Bird nest in the tail? WOW! I would think that should have been found on the pre-buy inspection !! Glad you caught it. Pops, you are correct, she knows what she is doing. Can actually takeoff, climb on a heading and not get lost over the top of the airport. And she will only get more and more comfortable with the airplane and its inuendos and the avionics. It's a win, win. Very happy for her.
Looks like you guys are doing awesome in that plane. I'm betting that ADSB is something you would never want to be without. Such an added awareness benefit.
Cool. Was hoping you got an E-bike to get around wile on trips having a bigger plane. Keep up the great videos and look forward to seeing new adventures in your new plane.
Thank you! I’m actually loving these little bikes, makes things very convenient!!
@@FlyWithKay Nice. They are fun. haha. If you and your dad are ever up in North Idaho. Coeurd Alane area. Only 30 miles from Spokane Wa. We have a burger place called Hudson`s that has been around for about 100 years. If you or dad play golf. A golf course with a floating green. Really beautiful lake, A motorcycle bar you can ride or even drive through. Have a good one and enjoy the new plane. Looks like it handles amazing.
Love the rotating wing camera.
All your cameras are looking good.
Allways great content thanks .
I love to watch a amplified run up... Beautiful plane and pilots!❤❤❤
I really like to watch people fly their planes and not just rely on the autopilot.
As do I! I am looking forward to having the autopilot back though for those long cross countries!😂
The airplane looks great. Looks like you are getting more comfortable with it. Great Flight!!! Pops is the man. Awesome!!!!
Congratulations to you, great looking airplane..happy landings👍
Nice flight! I love that plane, but we'll always remember Red!
Thank you! I will too, and maybe someday I’ll get her back🥰
You're a video that I was watching and not new plane. You're doing a good job of learn how to fly that plane from your other plane. I think you're doing a great job. I don't know if your father's gonna agree with that, but she is you got lot more to learn but I think you're doing a good job.❤
Love your use of the checklist. You will love the electric trim
Great ride-a-long! Thanks you two!
Beautiful plane, love the name. I understand how it hard to not use your old plane numbers. My first day at my new job when I answered the phone, I said the company that I came from. It got a lot of laughs from my co workers.
Kay, you sure bought a pretty aircraft. Cool to see you with the upgrade.
Although I am not a pilot, I grew up around the aviation industry in the powerplant arena. My father worked for TW Smith, engine company in Cincinnati, Ohio until there closing. And then finished his career at Signature Engines in Cincinnati, Ohio.
So I went on very many test flights from my childhood into my late teens .
But I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos.
Yes, you are a check list Queen, I really appreciate that, you are a valuable asset for flight training…. I’m James, retired flight school manager… thanks
Good morning from Minnesota! Fun episode! If you get bags for your bikes it makes it a lot easier to load and unload them and a little easier to strap them in because you can run the seatbelts through the handles on the bag
Houston SW Airport... Home of Murmur Aviation Paint and Interior Shop! Been There, Nice Quality Workmanship with Conquest N67BA ';-)
Very cool!
I'm catching up, to videos to go and I've seen them all! Loved this one!
Love your videos. Watching from Tempe Arizona. Love your Twin engine plan Kay.
Nice. Great landing! Love the bikes❤
Two thumbs up 👍👍 on the landing, love the bikes
So happy you have shoulder harness! Love you all!
Buttered that landing. 👍
Great content. Pops got a little sweaty. You seemed to keep your cool.
Congratulations on your new airplane. It looks amazing, clean, and ready to fly!
Hi Kay, Sorry I missed you. I like your new airplane Mistik Piper Senecca lll. and you flew successfully from your new airplane
Nice flight with pops.
Your confidence is growing with the new plane.
Plane is awesome. I'm jelly. Pilot Kay is awesome.

What a wonderful adventure following along on your new plane. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations on the new plane, I wish you all good things with it!
Beautiful aircraft.
Congratulations 🥂 🍾 ✈️
Houston Southwest Airport (QTA) at Arcola, Texas: Still in my neighborhood. Good to see you making effective use of HEA as well as SGR. Beautiful experience you are having with Dad. Great job, girl.
Great video kay, nice to see you talking us about the controls again like you did in little red.
What does allie do for a living?
Kay, been watching you for awhile and just want to give you guys a huge shout out!
Kay, I realize you know this, but, you have a really great dad!
Thanks for sharing your lives with us……..
Enjoy your flight guys!
As usual - GREAT VIDEO! ALWAYS look forward to your content.
Awe yay that makes me so happy, thank you!!!
great flight and landing for sure. i enjoyed the video. im sure your getting more comfortable in this plane by the flight. thanks for sharing the flight
I have a lot of hours out of TME. Got my instrument rating while with the flight club there. Eagle Lake-ELA is a convenient airport for practice approaches.
Great flight Kay, nice landing 😊
I really enjoy your videos , I sent this one off to an elderly friend of mine ( although I say elderly tongue in cheek as I am 77) he ..Reg.. is 85 and he was a Lancaster Pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force.. thanks again and Well Done ..Peter retired ex Qantas..
*CHECKLIST QUEEN*
That, and all the BTS info/instruction is what I love about you (and Pops).
Back in the 70's one of my college professors modified a Honda Trail CT70 motorcycle by crosscutting the top frame at the competition stripe and fabricating an internal sleeve with a cross-pin mechanism to store the motorcycle (in 2 pieces) in his baggage compartment on his flights to Mexico. The only other thing he had to do was unthread the throttle cable at the top of the carburetor
Love your videos. As an inactive pilot I miss being able to fly, but with your videos I feel like I'm right there with you!
One note about your bike riding (You already addressed getting a helmet, great job!), depending on the road, it is actually much safer to ride on the side of the street, and in the flow with the traffic. Riding on the sidewalks, you are much less visible to cross traffic, and more likely to be hit. Seems counter intuitive, but as an avid cyclist (2,000 miles last year) riding with the cars is the safest way to blend it. Stay Safe!
What was wrong with that landing you had the back wheels on the ground first that was perfect ❤👍👍✈️
Beautiful landing!
Thanks for doing it the right way.
Good one Kay. Nice Landing I didn’t feel a thing😂😅 Jon🇦🇺
Good morning. Have a wonderful flight. ❤❤❤
Good afternoon! I did, thank you!!
Totally awesome flight really like the bikes thanks for sharing
that is so cool the way you guys travel from plane to subway on bikes.
This plane ms Kay, looks funny looking out windshield has 2 propellers spinning. Looking good. Welcome aboard your pops.
Awesome!
Always love all the camera angles. May I ask your GoPro Video settings because I often run into them shutting down due to overheating. I was using 1080p 60 FPS and W
congratulations!
This is the epitome of having good parents. All I have is a yorkie. Just inspire your kids to do. Soon Cooper will climb mt Everest! Awesomeness stuff lil K
Be sure to tell the line guys to be super careful if they put a tug on the nose wheel gear. If they over steer it, they will brake the NLG components and you’ll be down for days. It’s very easy to do on that Seneca
Another great video. Easy to see you are getting more comfortable. Great smooth landing. When will you get the a/c back in? It was one of the features which excited you about the purchase.
thanks for sharing
I’m learning along with you.
Well done.
I’m living in Thailand ❤️🙏✝️
another nice video
What a nice toy! I want one.
Pretty nice looking landing Kay!
Awesome flight
Looks like you aren't getting enough of a flare when you are landing. Keep flying friend.
First bees, then birds! Didn’t know this was going to be so educational! 😆
Old glory would look good flying on your tail. I do like the bike your dad was riding on. I might have to check dad out.
Love your flights, your explanation of everything during flights is great. Love your channel. Father and Daughter flights are cool. What plane does your Dad fly?
Hey thanks so much! He used to fly Lil Red with me, but now he doesn’t fly anything (at least until I convince him to get his multi😂)
First thing I did when I recently bought my 66 Mooney was buy and install the shoulder harness STC
You jumped on Mystik 😮😅
I did the opened door air conditioning in a Cherokee 6 this morning. It’s hot and muggy here in southeastern Pennsylvania. 😎
I made your plane. Glad to see the avionics have been upgraded. :-D
Haha thanks!
That is a very pretty airplanes, Kay
Hi Kay. Love your videos. How come you can’t put the AC on from initial engine startup?
Seneca owner/pilot here! Great use of checklists, but I'm surprised there's no pre-takeoff brief. Highly recommend going through "the drill" in case you lose an engine shortly after liftoff.
She did the pre-takeoff brief -- just edited it out of the video.
@@kb_9880 It is probably the most important briefing item when flying light twins. If she shares anything on her platform, it should be safe practices.
Love your videos
