My sons baptism is coming up on the 18th and I’m so happy and he’ll be 4 months old! When I baptized my daughter she was 18 months old (due to COVID we decided to wait to baptize )so it feels a little different because he’s still so tiny… although they say that a baby should be baptized with in days of being born the fact that we decide to baptize our children is such a great deal when it comes to our faith. Although I am protestant, and my views on baptism are very different from the Catholic Church I can still watch this and appreciate the beauty of dedicating your children’s life to the Lord. I feel like, even if I didn’t have faith, I wouldn’t be offended by someone else’s faith, making a positive impact on their life. Truthfully, if you’re not harming anyone, I see no reason why you should keep your faith to yourself, especially if it’s such a huge part of your life.
And I’ll just say keep at it, Kayla! We are called to reflect a Christlike life to the world, and be a light to all

I’m my case I followed you because of your faith. I’m catholic too and love hearing from others about faith. I learn a lot from you since I haven’t been really consistent on reading the Bible. But I have attended mass at least every Sunday for the last 5-6 years. We pray with our children as a family every night before bed and feels so good when we talk about the before and after of our family since my husband encouraged us to attend church and learn/live our faith.
We had our baby Angela baptized this past Saturday. She’s about to be 8 months old.

Beautiful vlog and ceremony. I am not Catholic and have never seen a Baptism or know anything about it…why was Sean wearing a dress during his baptism?
It s a baptismal gown! 🥰 lots of parents will choose a gown, as it’s much easier for younger babies!
Just want to encourage you to read scriptures concerning baptism. Part of being baptized is having faith and believing. Jesus was baptized as an adult, we don’t see baby baptisms in scriptures. I do enjoy watching your videos as a fellow mom and appreciate your growth in your faith, I know you may not agree but that’s why I mention about going to the scriptures as the Word is our foundation rather then traditions of men. I was a Catholic and was baptized as a baby(out of my control) but didn’t have a true relationship with Jesus until 2019 when He convicted me of my sins. That’s when I became born again, as Jesus said unless you are born again you will not inherit the kingdom of God. Shortly after I got baptized and that is what we typically see through scriptures, after a person believed shortly after they got baptized.
I’m really not interested in making this a debate especially between christians, but I do read scripture and there is scriptural basis for infant baptism. I don’t intent to convince you otherwise and I respect if you choose to wait before having anyone baptized but if you’re curious as to why Catholics baptize infants, here’s a good resource that explains why: www.simplycatholic.com/why-baptize-babies/#:~:text=The%20Catholic%20Church%20has%20been,28%3A18%2D20).
From the link you provided it mention how grace was extended to children from the faith of the parents, I think that’s what I was trying to explain. These babies didn’t get baptize but yet they were saved. It wasn’t baptism that saved them. There’s the account with King David when God took his child for the sin of adultery, he mentioned, the child shall not come to me but I shall go to him. You see that his sin was not put on the baby and he knew he will be with that child one day. I don’t doubt that you don’t read scriptures as I definitely seen your growth, I just felt the need to share on behalf of others as well. Looking forward to the Christmas vlogs:) God bless

Of course, we couldn't have done without the ingenious input from the local protestant. Looks like you're not very knowledgeable on scriptures yourself! Or perhaps you would like to throw the baby with the bathwater? The scriptures state *whole families* were baptized, guess what whole families includes? Yes, infants. From the very beginning of Christianity, there was infant baptism. Maybe try actually studying history and what early Christianity actually was like, before willy nilly interpreting the scriptures without proper knowledge and context? Or perhaps find a religion which aligns 100% with all your likes, dislikes and opinions, better yet, invent one yourself! (You kinda already did...)

This vlog is showing people what believing in God is about/like. You are a role model for others who r not already believers and you show them this life as a person of their own generation. That always seems to have more merit than from a parent type . You may lose a few viewers who are athiests, but u r interacting with many more who r believers or even those who may be at this moment agnostic. Congrats on Sean's baptism- He is a child of God, as are all those in your family!!!!!!

Kayla, there is no biblical basis for infant baptism. I challenge you to find a single account of infant baptism in the Bible. The King David account actually counters infant baptism in that David’s deceased child was never baptized. Yet when David says that he “will go to him” he means he will see him again in heaven someday.
