Ive recently ordered core space. It was the terrain that attracted me in the first place. All my terrain is for fantasy, ive got a fdm 3d printer so i can make some terrain but painting is still a huge task so theres no way im going to do that for scifi terrain too, except small things. So BS is going to be the way to go. I like that the sets have so much in them, although it would be good to have a 4x4 set available.
Man, this is great. I've always wanted to build up a really badass looking table to play 40k on, but with 3 kids I barely have time to build/paint my models let alone afford/paint the GW buildings which are pretty narrow in use and damn expensive. This is exactly what I was looking for and the modular design with the under mats are just fantastic. A sub well earned, I'm going to go check out their site right now. Thanks again. :)
VERY cool! I'm sold. This will be perfect for Five Parsecs! Bonus points for being easily packable when I travel for work! As you mentioned, excellent for Gaslands with my brothers in law as well! We've been talking about trying Necromunda for a while too, but terrain has been the hangup. As usual, great work on the video! Very informative and detailed in only 20 minutes! This was the exact review that I was looking for!
Thanks for looking at this in good detail! I've been really interested in grabbing these for like 2 years now and I definitely think this is selling me on it!
@@gaminggeek241 I enjoy both games. I ran Bolt Action before 40k. I really enjoy the historical WW2 games. Kill team itches my 40k interest without the huge armies. I really like that about kill team. I am building a bunch of teams now. I know of Gates of Antares but have not really looked any battle reports. I will have to take a look.
and lets not forget one of the biggest bonus's for buying this terrain is how easily it stores away to a box freeing up your table for another good time
This stuff is breath taking! Painted chip board is the way . I wish some of this could be printed in a larger scale like 1/18. There would definitely be buyers.
@@gaminggeek241 I'm not a table top gamer. I'm a 1/18 scale figure collector. Battle Systems scenery in that scale would be great for dioramas and figure photography.
As always detailed and brilliant video. I'm the same as you, I prefer painting minis. Been thinking about Battle Systems for a while, but was worried it might be low quality, you've sold me on it - cheers!
Well I just found my sci-fi terrain. 3d printed is too expensive and almost always requires painting which I don't have time for. But these are perfect. Thanks for the great review!
ha ha ha, I backed it for the terrain but when I got in the game, I was like, wtf is this? but then thanks to corona, people reminded me about the great single player in it
I very recently went through this same process and ended up exactly where you did just for the Fantasy buildings....now I just wish they made modern buildings( hopefully soon)
it looks stunning, the only thing that keeps me away from buy is the setup time. I don't want even imagine the time that you spent only for the build.. Is it worth it for you? Are you using the scenery or keeping them in their boxes? thanx.
Except for a few buildings, I am keeping most of it in their boxes. I find it pretty easy and quick to build what I need but due to space, I pack things away.
@@gaminggeek241 I'll probably buy the battle system sceneries eventually.. there aren't better. Another tipe of scenery that I saw is Tenfold Dungeon, check it out if you want on kickstarter, is the simpliest and fastest way to have dungeons. Thank you for the very accurate review, this is why I like your channel :)
And Kill Team is the same reason that led me to BS. GW stuff is pretty, but never mind painting, the pricing for what you actually get are nuts..... $100 for a packed 2x2' vs a single half cathedral with only 2 tall floors, and no solution for the overall floor.

It blows my mind how convincing printed chipboard can be. It doesn't even look flat. I pre-ordered Core and the gothic core set. I can't wait!
Yeah, I can't wait to try out the game! I'll make sure to post a review of it.

I have all these sets but have not put them together yet, you sir have inspired me to get to it! Thanks
It is really easy to put together! I spend more time thinking about the configuration more than anything else!
Me too!
Yours is the best video showcasing the Outlands core set. Thanks for making this. Love your channel.
wow the final product, that table stuffed with terrain, looks so impressive

Thanks much for doing this, and giving your thoughts and process
I supported their apocalypse kick starter. Just amazing terrain. I love it all.
What game do you use it for?
@@gaminggeek241 i use it for walking dead, bolt action and kill team
I have the art deco add on, police station and fire hall add ons as well
@@sadnessinside123 Cool! How do you like Bolt Action compared to Kill Team? I'm going to try Gates of Antares.

The infinity sets are designed so that the boxes the miniatures come in will fit inside and give them the needed weight. FYI
Oh, that's good to know! I've never bought any Infinity models but that makes sense.

Was thinking about getting these for necromunda and love how busy the game board is totally sold
Glad it was helpful for you to see what the board looks like!
Wow, just wow, that looks stunning :)
Looks really cool
Your building music is the same as from the Warhammer podcast Best In Faction! Great choice also thank you for the great video.
This terrain looks nice but the fantasy terrain is where the real visual trickery is happening.)
Late to the party but... That looks awesome
Amazing!
If only I had enough money to spare. this is awesome
Wow, that looks just so cool!
Wonderfull video !!!

They do make a modern building set called the Urban Apocalypse Terrain line. I don't have any of it though.
Is it easy to change things once you have set it up? Or is it more or less once punched out and assembled its done?
Also how is storage?
Easy to breakdown and most packs away flat
Would I be able to use 2 inch scale figures with battle systems sets ?

Is this compatible with Deadzone at all... or does the limitation of needing to conform to 3" x 3" squares make it not work?
Deadzone does typically have 3x3x3 terrain but you can fudge it, especially if you use the gridded mat that comes with the game.
so are you going to store it assembled or not ?
I'm storing most of it unassembled. It fits very nicely into the original box, although I am keeping all the clips in a partitioned storage box.
now that's a shitload of bang for your buck, for the same price in other materials would probably just get you 2 rooms and a hallway
12:30. 🤯
Is it weird that I was just as interested and curious as to where and how yo got that table?
No, not weird--you can check out my table build video.
This looks amazing! How many Frontier sets do you reckon it would take to build a Zombicide: Invader mission?
imma wait right here for the answer to that question 😅⬆️
ditto
Same lol
I have their KS Ive never made them.should get my arse in gear and sort it.
Infestation refers to aliens.

Love everything about it except it is made of cardboard.....
