This is a very effective line but I always wondered if it would be worth trying "do you think the flavour of your sandwich is worth animal cruelty?" Most people who eat meat don't accept the "someone" status of other animals.

Hey Ed, great work! I admire your passion, endurance and patience with all these people. It's people like you who made me go Vegan at the age of 40. I don't feel I've given up anything when I stopped eating animals products. My life is richer and fuller than before. I experience food in a whole different way. Trying all these new foods and ways of preparing it is a enrichment to my life and i really hope that many people will also embrace and enjoy this lifestyle. I absolutely love the polite and calm way you talk to people, you're not so serious, like, you smile at them and try to be relatable, etc. Really inspiring, some vegan activists could definitely learn something from you :)
Amazing - this really moved me. I aspire to do what you do - gently question people's incorrect beliefs and get them thinking more about the actions they do and how they (& I) can live more in alignment with the values of kindness, compassion, caring and win-win that will bring about a better world. You've got me thinking and I'll take action like you - it might take me a while but I'll get there.
My friend suggested that I ask more questions when talking about veganism, because he said I was coming off like a preachy religious dude. I really appreciated his input and I tried it out. Works way better! It keeps the other person much more involved and makes it a much friendlier conversation.
I think the way you ask the questions in a friendly way and not in a confrontational manner is the best way to get the message across. You and Joey Carbstrong gave me the push I needed to go Vegan. Thank you

I'm soo happy I found you on here. I love your approach about veganism to people. You're videos are great , I hope you keep on sharing with the world. Creating a ripple effect. Thankyou Ed!
where are you from? These people seem so nice. I usually get a angry-defensive response from people who do not want to change their minds and have 101 excuses, just burping them out one after another - and that is just by me telling them i do not eat meat
I think it's because Ed is very clever with the way he approaches people, and says "WE do these horrible things" so they don't feel attacked and as if it's directed straight at them, if that makes sense? He doesn't even tell these people he is vegan most of the time, he just leaves them with all the facts and thoughts that make them want to be.
Most people are operating on a low level and unable to see through the brainwashing they are exposed to since they were children. Some are also afraid to break the status quo. Also when their ego gets hurt they go into cognitive dissonance mode. I've come across someone who said facts and logic don't matter and they claimed cigarettes help you breath better and professional athletes smoke them. Part of it, I think because Ed designed this interview to be more comfortable and casual for the people. The length was shorter and less confrontational than the other ones that some people got upset. Well done, Ed!
Great video! Just a suggestion maybe You could have handouts with useful links such as where to watch cowspiracy, earthling etc. And helpful videos that will give them more information about veganism. A lot of these people seem genuinely interested and could go on to be vegan, but maybe they'll go home and won't know what research and then lose interest, if you have them a handout at the end of the interview it might help them even more :)
I really like this style of activism. you don't attack, insult, or try to put people down. you have understanding and ask questions in a respectful way. I think this is far more effective than the attack style protests with shouting and blame that make vegans look bonkers. I tip my hat to you.

Love your videos Ed. Just a suggestion, maybe you could interview older people? I find they tend to be much more set in their beliefs, less accepting and quicker with counter arguments to veganism than younger people. It would be useful to me to pick up tips on how to deal with my non-vegan family members of that age group like my parents and grandparents.
+Sarah Hartless Hey :) I totally agree! I have asked older people but unfortunately they're more reluctant to appear on camera, I will keep trying though :)

I've watched a lot of these and I haven't heard one good point from any of the meat eaters. All I've seen is a lot of umms and uhhs and a lot of uncomfortable body language.

This week I heard from my uncle: cows and chickens are dumb, they don't suffer. That was really sad, why people can think like this? They do suffer and it is not nice to be raised in a cruel environment only to be killed
Honestly vegan food taste really good. A main reason why I didn’t want to become vegan was because I was scared of never having my favorite meals again, but I’m so glad I’m vegan now. I eat the same meals minus and animal products and it’s just as good if not better.
I felt a glimmer of hope as that couple said “eating pigs is disgusting” but then so disappointed at their reasoning...my heart broke hearing them call pigs dirty and smelly and mocking their existence :( pigs are beautiful creatures and deserve so much more. Ugh sometimes I despise the fact that I’m human lol
"Choice" is the answer, equally valid in case of individual or mass one. Good and bad are defined by these, they are not pre-defined not in space or time of human history. Try to confuse people could be a good thing but not everyone is equally gifted to come in terms with paradoxes, instead sometimes you are just throwing sophismes at people... we are not ignorant as it seems you think we are. However thanks from Italy.
11:40 Hehe, this guy talks about Abdullah Ocalan, I know what he means :). Kurds in Turkey suffer from turkish nationalism and Ocalan is trying to free kurds, so if this guy is reading comment: dude - you're the oppressed ones, so you understand more what is to be oppressed right, it's when turks think that you're lower than them and taking your rights against your will, same with animals, the fact that they're different than us doesn't give us a right to take their lives against their will, if you're against kurdish holocaust, you have to be against animal holocaust too, I'm not trying to compare humans to animals, but even if animals lower than us as a species, it still doesn't give us a right to take away their lives, it's same like turks think that you're lower than them and they feel like they have a right to infringe your rights. I hope you got what I mean and both of you guys go Vegan right away ;) Peace and love
I am a recent vegan, but this is one thing I have a problem with: vegans saying eggs are bad for you. Numerous studies have shown the high cholesterol content in eggs does not have any impact on the heart. Eggs are stacked with a powerhouse of nutrients, especially those of the free range sort (which I used to buy obviously). This is one food I would consider reverting back to on my current diet for nutritional reasons
Another reason as to why meat makes people feel fuller for longer is because animal flesh takes up to 48 hours to fully pass through the digestive system, whereas plants only take up to 8 hours. It’s actually a good sign when you aren’t full for the entire day because it means your digestive system is working properly lol. great work Ed

(google it)
"Have you ever actually tried not eating meat?"
"Yeah, I have"
"For how long?"
"..... A day". 😂😂

Never works because they do value taste over life. Especially when the most horrible aspects are hidden from them.

I've watched a lot of these and I haven't heard one good point from any of the meat eaters. All I've seen is a lot of umms and uhhs and a lot of uncomfortable body language.
People here might like to read The Dreaded Comparison: Human and Animal Slavery by Marjorie Spiegel. It expounds on some of the concepts discussed in this video.
I really like the way you speak (:
I love Ed’s energy it’s like: aHaahAhahaha 🤣😄😝🤪- what do you think 😐
I love it! What would the negative side effects of fruits and vegetables.
The woman in the black shirt is gorgeous...
This week I heard from my uncle: cows and chickens are dumb, they don't suffer. That was really sad, why people can think like this? They do suffer and it is not nice to be raised in a cruel environment only to be killed
There's a cow on a field and something happens i the middle and it ends up on our plate. funny sentence and sad at the same time.
It amazes me how people don't think they make a difference. We all do!
Great work! Liking your style.
Honestly vegan food taste really good. A main reason why I didn’t want to become vegan was because I was scared of never having my favorite meals again, but I’m so glad I’m vegan now. I eat the same meals minus and animal products and it’s just as good if not better.
another excellent video! showing that most vegans just wish to educate :)
Wow you really seemed to have made them think about it! Great job :)
Brilliant Ed!!!!! ❤️🐮🌳🌎
Great job yet again! 👍🏻 getting the knowledge out there.
Thanks a lot Ed for making thoses videos ! Its a great help for arguing on Veganism :D
i love the way you talk to the people
that was amazing, your approach and courage, thankyou
"Choice" is the answer, equally valid in case of individual or mass one. Good and bad are defined by these, they are not pre-defined not in space or time of human history. Try to confuse people could be a good thing but not everyone is equally gifted to come in terms with paradoxes, instead sometimes you are just throwing sophismes at people... we are not ignorant as it seems you think we are. However thanks from Italy.
So much nervous laughter :P
Love your style! Keep it up man :)
Underated comment.
Wow this one was really really great!!:)
I love how Ed interact with these people 🤭
Been waiting for this!!♥
SO AMAZING WHAT YOU ARE DOING ! (:
I am a recent vegan, but this is one thing I have a problem with: vegans saying eggs are bad for you. Numerous studies have shown the high cholesterol content in eggs does not have any impact on the heart. Eggs are stacked with a powerhouse of nutrients, especially those of the free range sort (which I used to buy obviously). This is one food I would consider reverting back to on my current diet for nutritional reasons
Exactly, I'm vegan + eggs, oysters, and beef liver. By vegan I mean 80% of my diet is fruit, tubers/roots, and squash.
So good! Your approach is so amazing 💡
I'm eating a pear. :-)
He's very good !
With the Chinese dog festival going on. what about starting an interview with the context of protesting against the chinese restaurant that just opened in town, that has dogs on there menu. Then take the conversation from there.. your skills are impressive! Hope to see more video's soon!
