1:06. Dang, those TMZ photogs are everywhere to get the perfect shot.
He was so close that he actually got sucked into Her mouth like that is terrifying and trapped inside of a shark almost about to swallow you whole is actually terrifying.
Quint said it in the first film.
"This shark...swallow you whole."
This scene proved Quint's point eight years later.
@davidcolantuono3622 he was sort of a badass though. He had a grenade and was going to blow himself up with the shark to save everyone.
More like pushed into its mouth due to the force of the filtration pipe. Which explains why the shark did not swim fast enough to catch him sooner.
@@gutz1981It also explains how the shark got out of the pipe as well. The shark wasn’t swimming backwards, she was she wasn’t swimming backwards, she was going with the current until she was out far enough to turn around.
Ósea que el estaba siendo atraído por la corriente
Although nowhere near as good as the first jaws, this scene was more disturbingly fitting to a quote said by Quint. "This shark, swallow you whole. Shaking, tenderizing'. Down you".
Yeah, all 3 of the sequels had their respective potentials within certain moments, but they just overall sucked 😂 The SeaWorld aspect of this movie was so cringe, and the cameras were terrible, probably because of the early development of 3D
What an iconic scene
The only thing wrong is that she didn't actually swallow him. Tried, but he was too big, mostly thanks to his SCUBA gear; he eventually got killed by (presumably) getting crushed in the jaws. When they find her later he's still in her mouth, grenade and all, and that's finally what allows the heroes to end her.

I can't believe there is no clip behind the scenes in this part of the movie, how the producers & directors did this shot.
Shark was really scary in this movie but was executed very poorly it’s very sad that jaws 3 had a lot of potential to be a big hit but Universal kept intervening in the production which eventually led to this mess of a movie
The shark in this movie was done well but yes ot was overdone with interviews etc
No kidding, I would of love to seen/read how the shot was done. Must of been a real pain in the ass to set up.

This movie always had a claustrophobic environment, for some reason it scared me shitless when I was 10 years old, even though it was a horrible movie
Jaws 3 was not a horrible movie at all. When you add all the elements up, it was the best one, in no small part due to the fact that ironically it was a bit more believable and less over the top.
This scene reminds me of Rayman 2 with Jano called In Jano's Jaws and this is the only Jaws movie that does this even the first one never did this.
Good job testing that lifeline.
🤣
It worked before when they first tested it. Why it broke a few minutes later, I don't know.
Man, what a way to go.
One of the very best, poorly made, bad movies ever made! As Fitz Roy would say, "Ohhhhhhhhgggrrr!"

I saw this as a kid and it terrified me. Other attacks totally fine. Not this
Really Quint’s death in the first movie traumatized me as a kid and so did Marge’s death in Jaws 2
@@diegofavaratozfilms962 Yeah, older me registers better how utterly horrifying his death is, particularly when you consider his story on the Indianopolis. For me its a hard watch because you can see how this man who acted like such a bad ass now is absolutely terrified, dying in a way not unlike how he feared he would from his past.
😮I've seen this movie this season and it's shocking
It’s a messy film with horrible 3D effects but this scene and a few more are very good! The mother Shark was always a very cool character and I honestly felt sorry for her, she genuinely had a mission for her baby.
This scene is irritatingly cool. Irritating because I still don’t understand why he exploded in her mouth, he should’ve just drowned/stopped making noises to mark the death. I get if she eventually crushed him but it makes more sense that he suffocated as he’s seen later still in one piece. It’s Cool because in most Shark films it’s always a quick bite or brutal ripping of the victim but this is very unique for all.
Jaws 3D not bad but not good.
She didn't Care about the baby.
As he got eaten, he was obviously crushed hard enough for part of him to burst in a cloud of blood, but that wouldn't necessarily result in dismemberment or severe visible mangling, especially because he was crushed by blunt mouth parts rather than sharp teeth. Also, only part of his body is visible in her mouth at the end of the movie, so there could have been more damage or injury than we can see. But yeah, it is a cool scene for the detail, length, sounds, and unique POV!
The final mouth closure before the blood cloud burst was most likely his rib cage being crushed there by piecing his lungs and possibly his heart - this all must have come out his mouth
Jaws 3D is definitely BAD!
@@amitypredator9385 why do you say that?
Should've listened to Quint's advice.

I once kibda renacted this scene when I was 10 playing inside an anamatronic whale ride with the mouth going up and down, on holiday in Spain.
Should have been a 3rd person in the water, one who could have closed the gate. Then Jack just could have gone with Fitzroyce to watch his back. Make sure he didn't do anything stupid. & motivate him to get out of the water. Dealing with a shark like that is no game! Phillip chose to waste his time.
There's a realistic nightmare
My claustrophobia kicked in causing me to not be able to imagine how he felt

@@Thunderchild-gz4gc you don't have to tell me anything, I'm not 3 years old
@@Thunderchild-gz4gcnah, really? Who would've known?
For a man to fit inside a sharks mouth like that, the shark would have to be at least 40 feet long
In the movie, they did mention that this shark had to be at least 50 feet long.
Quint would've been a lifesaver if he's still alive.
Looks like a rope that can hold about 700 lbs but a second later it snaps for no reason.
Here's a note to point out. Ready?: I've seen different sources as to how much box office money a film needs to be considered a successful movie. Most said something about it going 50 - 100% past its budget. But,... the first source I saw said it needs to be 3 times its budget or more.
Now, according to Wikipedia, this film got a budget of $18 million and a box office of $88 million. Now, times 18 million by 3, and we get 54,000,000. So, it looked like Jaws 3-D was good at the box office, but not by critics, I guess mainly because of the special effects used in the film.
There's a story that Roy Sheider literally took another role in order to avoid doing this film. Even though the movie he did flopped big time, he was probably still ok not doing the Jaws film again...haha.
@@steves_garage I don’t mind that.

Poor Guvnor
Considering Philip FitzRoyce is the secondary antagonist of the film, he kinda got what he deserved if you ask me. He was extremely cunning, deceitful, deceptive, greedy, rude, pompous, dishonest, and vituperative. Philip was the one to capture the great white shark and put it on display, but it died because these sharks don't do well in captivity.

Why didn't he just swim over the shark? There was certainly enough space, other than provoking it with the harpoon. What a fool that experience that guy was.
The pressure pushed him into her mouth
Where could he go after that? The gate was sealed when he shark swam in
@@24Pudders There's a ladder just behind him.... 3:14
@@Cloud971 which he wouldn't be able to swim to with the current pushing him away from it...
@@24Pudders He had his chance to grab the ladder & he blew it, messing around, & putting all of weight on the rope.
3:22 nom nom
It didn't eat him tho, it crushed him.
let me explain
Okay the way he died is a just movie and the most unrealistic death in the series.
Well the man gets nipped in foot which somehow turns him complete around and make not move for the shark to open its mouth and fit his full body in there and somehow the teeth do not rip him up.Instead he goes straight passed them and the teeth are a damm wall trapping him then the shark pushes into the top part of her mouth crushing him in the process.
In the context of this film he was leading the shark into a water pump, hence why he needed a rope to pull himself along against the current as it is forcing water out (I.e. towards the shark). So when the rope came loose he was swimming against a powerful current and was more or less “pushed” into the shark’s mouth. All Brucetta had to do was open her mouth long enough for him to get sucked in.
@@V0ssk but it's gigantic body was blocking the suction no? Unless it's mouth also possessed the powerful suction?
@@V0ssk Dude, the ladder was right behind him, he didn't even attempt to swim towards it, he clearly did what any rational person would have done in a survival flight situation and instead turned around and faced a 35 ft shark with absolutely no viable weaponry whatsoever🤦🏽♂️
Being a shark expert too, he should have known to tactically swim to the side of it and put his thumb right in the shark's only vulnerable weak spot which is its eye.
The guy really didn't need to die, but the movie clearly needed him to, by making his decision making comical at best.
All valid points but this film pretty much had very little basis in any science. The shark swims into the park yet a simple gate with a chain keeps a what 3 to 5 ton shark from breaking into open ocean. Then the shark gets stuck in one of the water pumps and doesn't die. The shark is near megalodon size and one noticed it before it became stuck so given the sharks overall size no way that gate would've held a shark of those dimensions. Not to mention both times the shark got out of where it was stuck it did so by swimming backwards. So do we need to argue about anything this film did other than is it good or bad.
Are the Jaws sharks a sub-species of the Megalodon?
Yes

Thank you for all the childhood nightmares. Lol eaten alive! Cant imagine a worse way to go!
*crushed and drowned, not eaten.
I have a question was their plan to be exact and how was he supposed to escape from the shark?
He was supposed to climb the ladder in the background. He was very close to it but the rope broke. The current was too strong and unfortunately he swam into the sharks mouth perfectly to endure the feeling of what's it like to being eaten alive whole. I'm sure during the bite downs, he was in complete disbelief he was literally the sharks dinner and had no safe plan B to escape from being eaten.
