As a kid, this scene terrified me. As an adult… the Muppets give it a run for its money.
It was very real to me
😂😂😂😂
R.I.P. Louis Gossett Jr. who played as Calvin Bouchard in this movie. :(
I think him and his assistant got away in time in this scene but as for Lou Gossett Jr himself he was a damn good actor.
2:36 Smile you son of a ... BOOM!!!
I love how you can see exactly where the 3D effects should be in 2D.
all sincerity … don’t knock “Jaws 3-D” until you have seen it in a full size theater with 3-D glasses on. IT IS pure 80’s popcorn fun.
This is peak 80s cinema when attempting to work with 3D glasses
The shark had an angry look on its face when it crash though the control room, like she knows they're responsible for her baby's death.
It's a her?
@@gohyowjuanyowjuan7059 it's a mother shark. Duh!!! 🙄 If you seen the movie. 🙄
The name is brucetta apparently she is 35ft long in the movie
She didn't care about the baby
@@amitypredator9385 apparently she does or she wouldn't enter the park
The explosion is the point where production went out of budget
At the end it was nominated for (5) rasperry Awards included the 3D.
I never fully appreciated this scene until I realized they are literally playing Jaws... with Jaws.
This movie is a 100% Oscar award winning film and a great cinematic masterpiece compared to the new “Velma” show
It's kind of depressing how I agree with you.
At lesst this original and they didn't have to race swap. Kind of shows you how far Hollywood has fallen.
@@brandonallen3808 mike Brody is gonna be a black gay man in the jaws 3 remake
When i was 5,this scene is very realistic
So poor guy gets eaten as its final meal, and somehow his body squeezes past the dead guy holding the explosive? Without any blood on the other guy? Ok.
The room rapidly filling with water and some of the music is decent at least.
I had assumed that the entire complex was pressurized and after flooding the control hub the complex literally instantly flooded and was destroyed by pressure failure.
Damn, the shark crunching on Calvin's nephew is brutal....😮
Those bone crunches were pretty wicked, but ASMR. Poor guy... 😢
She didn't even eat him. She just straight up murdered him.
Ahhhh the good old fashioned 3D. 🤣🤣
0:53 one last snack haha
I can’t believe Louis left his nephew like that 😁😂😅
Who is Louis?
Saved the white lady
Due to the fact that everyone in the room had momentarily been disoriented due to the instant empolision of the window it wouldn't have been possible for grabbing everyone at once and making for the exit since they were trying to get away from the shark 🦈!
What do you do in a situation like that?
@@theicchamp06 as soon as I saw it coming towards the window 🪟 I be bolting for the emergency exit, basically every one for themselves!
Still better than 99% of the CGI shark trash released since.
Agreed *cough* sharknado *cough*
Megalodon!
Haven't seen the movie yet, just seen the bit of the poor guy that wanted a picture , then gets eaten by the jumping shark!
Which looked "AMAZING!"
yeah , right
Best part was the soundtrack
One of my favourite Jaws films. Jaws 3 gets a thumbs up from me. 👍
This one is by far the worst in the entire franchise of Jaws movies
@@fearfulclan2007 not true I care about jaws 3 no hatred towards this movie
@@fearfulclan2007
Jaws: The Revenge wants a word. This film has terrible special effects, but once you get used to them, it’s super silly 80’s fun. Would I go as far as calling it a good film? Obviously not, (although there was a time I considered the idea believe it or not) but it’s fun! Jaws: The Revenge is a total bore and absolutely appalling on a technical level, it’s even worse than Jaws 3 in that regard in many respects, (the shark might look awfully fake in Jaws 3, but at least you can’t constantly see the underbelly with the exposed hydraulic wires and metal tubing, not to mention the obvious seams in the rubber!) it doesn’t get worse than that! It pains me to say that because the director made one of my favourite films, The Taking of Pelham 123, but he made an awful film out of one of the worst film ideas to ever get green-lit.
1 and 2 were good. Even as a 10 year old I thought 3 was absolute garbage. And don't even get me started on 4. What possessed Michael Caine to get involved with it I'll never know.
@@dannyboyy31 “I have never seen the film, but by all accounts it was terrible. However I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific.” - Micheal Caine.
Basically it funded a house and his family got a free holiday in the Bahamas. All for a few weeks work abroad and then some studio shooting in the water tanks back in the US. Unfortunately shooting the film did mean he was unable to accept his Oscar for his work in Hannah and Her Sisters.
Damn. Can't a brotha catch a break....?
These were the best special fx back when this movie was made. We have come so far with movies. I wasn't the biggest fan of jaws 2 or 3 but the 1st jaws is my favourite
Despite how fake the shark is, they could’ve easily escaped.
After the painful death FitzRoyce suffered being eaten whole in her mouth, he deserved to be the fallen hero holding that grenade ending the sharks reign of terror.
So detailed💀
I still think it funny that earlier in the movie the shark rammed into the tunnel causing slight leakage howev when it rammed into the control centre the glass smashed like a cheap glass window
In fairness, the tunnel windows were secured by welded steel beams and the shark rammed the joints where the panes were connected rather than the glass panes themselves. In this case, it rammed the pane of glass head-on with considerable force and momentum. True, it's toughened glass but that was a shark of 35 feet and probably 5 or 6 tons hitting it head-on at near full speed of 35 mph.
Even though it was fake but I did like the part where the room got filled with water in seconds.
The shark still looks fake.
It’s a old moive and it’s 3D to
It is, and this was by far the worst Jaws movie ever. Jaws: The Revenge is the best, number 2 going to the original, number 3 going to Jaws 2, and the worst going to Jaws 3-D.
It looks like a green screen effect
It's almost been 40 years and still to this day this movie looks fake it's almost unbelievable that four decades go by and this movie still looks fake
Real. And I don’t think it’s fake
The sharks head is as big as the control room glass window.
The most realistic "shark through glass" shot ever captured on film. Seriously tell me you didn't have to check your TV screen after that one. 🤣
the Mother Shark had a Angry looking face she knows they're Responsible for the Death of her Baby and now she wants Revenge on them and then she Died along with her Baby
And also she's growling.
It must have been the dad in ‘Jaws Revenge’, for killing his entire family, then X
Mother Sharks Wont Care For Their Babies Irl But This Is Jaws Series...So Brucetta Cares For Her Baby
You can see the original effect in the first two seconds of the clip
0:24 bruh moment... that CGI, man
I never realized it was fitzroyce still stuck in the sharks mouth with the grenade in his hand until I read these comments.
That’s not as bad as me thinking that Fitzroyce’s friend was the actor Dabney, Coleman 😂
@@TheNeuroticjetfan explain yourself
I’m kinda embarrassed😂
@@TheNeuroticjetfan alrighty then
Lol!!!! Me too!!!! I thought he was Dabney Coleman for years!!!!
I've always wondered what had happened to Calvin and the lady he was saving... because they're never seen again after that...
I think they said they got out
Number 4 was the worst sharks have no concept of revenge
The novelization mentions a witch doctor possessed the shark to target the Brody family.
I love how they keep saying the shark is this 35 foot monster, but when it's eating the guy it looks nowhere NEAR that big.
The shark swimming backward hahaha
Poor old nephew being left my Calvin haha
Somebody say something
Um... something? 😊
Very creepy 😮
This movie made an absolute disgusting mockery of the Jaws franchise. What a disgrace. So sad that with such a great line up of actors & actresses that it still failed. Just goes to show ya, you’re only as good as the script / story plot.
I didn’t think the scripture music were that bad. the whole 3-D thing and the look of the shark just didn’t pan out on screen
I would have some 🦈 sushi, if I got the ingredients to make it.
The thing was it seems like the shark is stuck trying to get into the control center. So they just could’ve swam out of there.
They should've run away instead of standing here and watching before the shark break the glass window. But it never happened.
The baby shark's death was the saddest for me. But, its mother's death...seen here...is quite sad, too. She had followed her offspring into the Sea World Park only to die there. It got to me when the music changed at around 1:30 in this video. I knew it was the end of her. 😢😭 It didn't help that she was stuck and couldn't get out. I think that is what made her death quite sad.
Dam, that Grey white is more shocked when it smashes the glass, then the people. It’s like, ‘Oh my, was I meant to smash the glass’???. 😂😂😂
Human blood to that shark is like Hawaiian Punch.
2:37 When you get heart burn
O
The visual effects are tragic....
Even though Mike said Calvin and Lisa were still alive when he and Kay surfaced, I would always retort it since I thought there was no physical proof.
Even the shark, after reading the script's ending suggested to the producers that having her commit suicide by ingesting strychnine would be more believable than what they eventually went with.
Even in 3D the shark still looks fake. 🍺🦈🐱
nowadays it could be straight up comedy. blood asside I mean. The acting, the shark, the effects
2:12 that looks like a Megalodon more than a great white shark
At 35 foot you won't be wrong.
You're %25 Right Since She's 35 Feet Long
I never thought about it before because of all the other goofy stuff but if that shatk broke the glass would t all the electrical bullshit fried everybody inside???
Best not to question it. Possibly, but I’m no expert. Let’s just say the park had a safety measure in case that happened to make up for every other safety failure! 🤣
You’re not typing Jaws 1, but it’s better than Jaws 2 and revenge.
@ancestorempire there's no way Jaws 3 is better than Jaws 2. I think any true Jaws fan would agree. Jaws 3 and 4 totally sucked and ruined the franchise.

Simon MacCorkindale’s Dead In The Shark’s Mouth.
(0:05) Someone should re-animate this; like how some of today are re-doing scenes with blender. Like this one re-did a scene from The Terminator 1984, where instead of a puppet; it was animated in blender to match the scene.
I've never been able to understand how Fitzroyce was still in the shark's mouth even after it ate the other guy. I mean, nothing about it is realistic, but that's off the charts. I suppose it's no worse than a shark swimming around with a scuba tank in the first film.
It never ate the other guy, it just chewed him up and dropped him because Fitzroyce was still stuck in its teeth.
Look at the scene again, it chews him and lets go, you see his body at 1:02
Would the shark actually be able to crash into the glass if its tempered to withstand that pressure?
wow, didnt realize how bad the graphics were back then, the shark approaching the glass looked completely fake
They always looked like crap, even when this movie first came out, everyone lost it over how bad it was.
It doesn’t ‘look’ fake!!!

Uhhhh 😒 🙄 like DUH🤔 ‘teeth’ are coming from the JAWS of the Shark.
Never should have been 3D that took away from so much potential the movie had
Does give it a unique appeal beyond the cool premise, even as it butchers said premise in the process. I like this film, it’s not good at all, but it’s a guilty pleasure comfort movie!
Wow .. the 3D effects really didn't work in that scene at all !!
They blew that guy up along with Jaws too.
He was already dead. In fact he was already planning to sacrifice himself to blow up the shark and save the sea park.
