Jaws 3 deserves a big budget remake. Not any of the other Jaws, just 3. They really utilized the size of the park. Practical and visual fx have improved so much. This would make a great summer blockbuster

Spot on cause there are good effects in this movie, there's some shots of Brucette swimming that look amazing, I wish we got to see what the finished effects look like.
I love how Mike Brody went from being a skinny, dark haired dude to Dennis Quaid in five years.

I was 10yo when this first came out and remember feeling bummed that none of the water skiing babes got eaten even though they were on the movie poster. I went in thinking at least one of them was gonna get it. Lol I was a weird kid always rooting for the shark to win 😂
I always found Dennis Quaid to be a top actor. i wish he had done more movies.
Quaid is always fun to watch. I liked him in 'Dreamscape' and 'Innerspace'. He seemed to be prominent in the 1980s, then just kind of dropped off. The most recent movie I saw him was the 2011 reboot of 'Footloose', where he played the ultra-conservative church minister. He nails every role he plays.

I always wondered what happened to the people that fell through the wooden dock. Did they cut themselves on the sharp pieces of wood or was the shark underneath them. Also…the shark bite to the leg is actually pretty dope.
That's a good question. I think Jaws might have just bit someone but no one was killed.
She most likely wasn’t bitten because she still has both of her legs; it was more likely that the shark scraped her with her skin, because sharks have rough sandpaper-like skin.
@@logangassman2341 there’s a good example in jaws 2, when the shark swims past one of the girls and the sharks pectoral fin scraped her torso, leaving some blood in the water.
I just noticed when Lea is picked up around 4:52 her left leg is fine and then when she's on the towel you see the bite damage. As many times as I've watched this movie that was the first time I caught it.

The Shark in the first movie wasn't that good in the first place, it's just that since we never saw it much we didn't realize it (because it kept breaking down so Spielberg had to keep it off-screen, which ended up working out). These later ones had better working Sharks, but they still looked just as fake.
The thing with Jaws 3D is you had to be there. Late summer 1983, as an 8 year old seeing a movie in Real 3-D for the first time blew my mind. Yeah, some of the Special Effects are a bit iffy to say the least and as mentions elsewhere it would benefit from a big budget remake. Unfortunately Jaws 3D to this day has never been as good as seeing it on the big screen at launch, it was quite epic 41 years ago.
Also, rumour control, these are the facts! ;) The Urban myth at the time was during the summer of 1983 Universal Studios were paid a large sum of money by 20th Century Fox to pull Jaws 3D from its Cinema run early for some bizarre reason.... Return Of The Jedi was out at a similar time, but who knows!

I saw the (3D!) trading cards before I saw the movie. I was very disappointed that a guy didn't get bitten in half in this scene like in the cards.
I think this whole scene is the most unintentionally funny thing I've ever seen. I still love this film though.

Simple solution: don't be a water skier; don't be a life guard at the beach; and don't work the bumper boats. Also, don't work in the control center and don't be a tour guide in the under water tunnels although I suspect those facilities were invented for the movie. 😉
What a brave design for the park having bumper boats; water ski show; and swimming in the very same body of water with apparently none those areas roped off. And how long would it really take to run across the whole park? Even if you didn't commandeer a golf cart? 🤔

This sequence doesn't make much sense. They already knew the shark was in the park, so why does he suddenly go running around like a maniac telling people to get out? Nothing's changed apart from they saw it at the restaurant. Brody just causes a lot of panic and chaos
