- Ford has increased the Everest Range by adding a brand new Wildtrak and XLT model.
In this review we discuss the difference in price and features between the Wildtrak and Platinum model.
The XLT model comes with a lower entry price which will make it easier for more buyers to get into the Everest range.
As always we will look at the Cost Of Ownership, Features and Practicality.

Great review gents . The wildtrack is definitely the pick of the bunch when it comes to looks , especially for someone in the younger demographic. Looks wise. I'd go for it , but because of some of the features it lacks, I'll just spend the extra cash and take the platinum 😅

Dope review. We love these SUVs. I must admit I truly find it annoying that Car manufacturers always give south Africas half baked products. In other countries the Everest Wildtrack comes with the 12 inch heads-up display and Performance Matrix LED headlights found in the Raptor but not in Mzansi. Why FORD? You can't even option them. That doesn't make sense to me. The Platinum in SA doesn't come with all the features as those in other countries. Why? @MrHowmuch y'all need to ask such questions at these events.
Well done MrHowMuch, another very informative review. The price difference between the Wildtrack and Platinum not significant if you ad the optional 360 camera, not to mention the advantage of the heated steering and seats (very nice as in your previous review of the platinum). The XLT good value for money and even more appealing as fuel consumption would be much better. On the negative side, a vehicle in this price bracket doesn’t have this knee bruiser tow hitch, very unsightly to say the least! Another negative “ FordSA bring production back to local shores, keep pricing competitive and ad the XL variant for commercial customers.
