One of the few if not ONLY Car journalist I fully trust - Thanks Hannes. Was wondering what you thougt about the B&O Sound system - Probably waaaay better than rubbish JBL they stick into Toyotas
The front left and front right park sensors only detect objects within 25cm. That is far too late to stop in time if there is an object you were not expecting. The design states it will notify you when objects are within 60cm, but that isn’t achieved in real world tests.
bro, thanks for the video. Please cover audio and matrix LED at night. If possible a short video at night (no street lights please). Appreciate it. Thanks.
Thanks for an excellent review. Sad to see the SA version of the vehicle not the same as the Australian. Some specs missing, matrix led lights, etc. wish the SA reviewers of the vehicles would point these out.
I've just had the 2.0 biturbo Sport, and the gearbox does hunt a bit more to find the power. And it lacks some features, obviously. Still a a very pleasant car.
I have not driven the Sport sadly, and in SA the Sport is only offered with the 2.0 Biturbodiesel, and the Platinum only with the V6. So I guess it comes down to how much you want/need that extra power. Personally I think a Sport will do the job!
@@Hannes_Oosthuizen oh ok, we have sports v6 in australia. I can opt for a 360 touring as well to the sports version. where we are getting some features of platinum. The only missing feature is matrix LED and panaromic roof from platinum, else I wont buy that. But after adding the touring, its 7k difference. still its a win. 79kA$.
@@Hannes_Oosthuizen may I ask if you have experienced any gear box issues or transmission issues or auto shifting gear noise and some have also said, in tunnel the cruise mode gets slow or turns off. Is it true ? These are the real reviews I read online. so not sure how true it is ?
@@manuoz3545 Hi - I had the car for more than a month and did about 4000km. Didn't hear a thing from the gearbox. Didn't go through a tunnel so can't answer that one!
Thanks for the video however you need to appreciate your videos are potentially viewed worldwide (I'm in Australia) and I have no idea what some of your slang or local terminology is. 'Bucky'??? What is bucky for example???
Ford Everest platinum fuel consumption in real world 14.5 l /100 km a far cry from the 8.5 l as claimed by Ford and the demo car at the dealership was showing 13.5 l per 100 kms ,on average 35% more than other vehicles in this segment I have proof ,why not show the read outs in reviews, why don’t we get honest reviews
I'm not sure if you are agreeing with me or saying I am not honest! I think I was pretty clear that this car is way thirstier than Ford's claim. And that is with an "efficiency minded" driver behind the wheel. I wouldn't read too much into dealership demos, those cars do short trips with drivers who want to feel the power.
There’s just nothing any of these new cars have that makes me want to pay basically what I make in a year of my life. Maybe if it came with a year of free gas or something along those lines Maybe if it gave me a handy I’d be more apt.

Great review for Ford, Hannes. They will be chuffed. And good to see your channel growing having cracked the 1k mark
Thanks for the support Keith!

That is very kind thank you. To be honest I'm not a music aficionado so am the wrong person to ask. My teenage son, however, thinks it's very good.
Plain, simple solid video Hannes 👏
Appreciated Muhammad.
great job mate first time watching your channel keep up the good content
Thanks so much! Appreciate the kind words.

Hopefully I get another one then I can do it... or maybe with a Ranger!

Sometimes difficult to cover everything. Thanks for pointing out.
How's the driving experience and fuel economy with the 2.0 biturbo engine?
I've just had the 2.0 biturbo Sport, and the gearbox does hunt a bit more to find the power. And it lacks some features, obviously. Still a a very pleasant car.
I'm averaging 11L/100km.
The Aussies did a fantastic job in the design of this car.
It does seem to please a lot of people
Myself driving a tdv8 Range Rover find your feul consumption pretty acceptable , after driving at 19.5 l 100km around town .
Gosh, yeah compared to that this is an econo-box.
How about a comparison with the Isuzu MU-X onyx?
I had the Isuzu last year. The Everest trumps it convincingly.
bro, I am confused bw this platinum and everest sport - what do you recommend ? Its 10k expensive in OZ.

A bakkie is what you guys call a Ute. And noted, thanks.
The fuel efficiency is concerning, they should install the 2l bi turbo in the platinum version of the Everest
I'd say that might very well happen in the future. But there's no arguing about the appeal of the power in this V6.
They gave you the same car reviewed by the other guy from die kaap
Well, there is only one fleet. Who is the other guy?
You got the boring part right chyna
I deliver what I promise! :-)
@@Hannes_Oosthuizen Indeed :)
Not boring… the legs were sexy!
Why is this motor so thirsty? The old 3.2L wasn't even this thirsty.
Look, I travelled mostly loaded to the rafters, and the vehicle was still very new. But I don't think my average is far out or unreasonable.

i have a 3l V6 mercedes ml320 which has better fuel economy than this ranger. lol. i dont like it at all
What is that Merc's power output?

Makes the used car market very appealing doesn't it!?
