the Best 2023 Ford Platinum review I have watched so far, a comprehensive and in-depth review, I hope I will get one of these soon and take the road for a trip from Melbourne to Perth
Great review you know more about the car than the dealers. Went into the local dealer and they basically said it had 4 wheels and a 5th to steer it with . The Everest is nearly as good as Territory from 10 years ago. Got to love the metal badge on the back of the seat to Brand the unsuspecting owner with Platinum after a day at the beach in the blazing Australian sun.
Zimbabwean accent detected. Or at least some southern African country between SA and Zambia. But it's a mixed Rhodie (Zim) accent. Can't understand why all these carmakers send cars with these heated seats to warm climates. We don't need them. Does it hurt them to put in air-conditioned seats? And why the added cost of adblue? Not great for us rural based. That bending said this is a desirable SUV, bloody expensive. And very well explained walk through. Thanks!
The front left and front right PDC sensors only detect objects within 25cm. It doesn’t give enough time to react if there is a bollard you didn’t notice over on the passenger side. According to the manual it should detect at 60cm … but it doesn’t. Also the PDC alerts are a lot more faint than on the previous generation.
Hi , I am watching walkthrough advert for Ford everest platinum 2023.This is very nice car for me and my family. Can I ask , do you have copper red coloured for Platinum?.
I’d love to order one I am just a bit out off by the reputation Ford has had with transmission and tail shaft problems. The way customers have been treated has been disappointing.
10 speed torque converter transmission used on these cars are pretty reliable, I have a Commodore 2018 ZB Calais V, V6 AWD with 9 speed version of it, 9 speed GM's GT60 transmission which was designed to handle 400nm power, I am quite satisfied with it's performance, and the transmission paired with new v6 diesel engine on 2023 Ford Everest is "Ford 10R80 or GM 10L80/10L90" which was developed based on GM's GT60 transmission, I say this because both GM and Ford teams worked together on R&D for GM's GT50-GT60-GT65 and Ford's 10R80
The dealership where we got the Everest from has not had a client select the 18's from factory which has been delivered yet. When we see one, we will be sure to check it out.
Hi Xolani. We did mention it in our original filming, but we cut it for time. We figured that you could see the sunroof from several shots and that was self explanatory. We are sorry that you felt like we missed some information.
@@Car-Focus Just admit that you stuffed up on the editing and own it, no big deal, it happens! People like honesty not half arsed reasons like, we figured everyone could see it and it’s self explanatory👎🏻. if your reply was the actual reason then a lot of things you did point out in the video were in-fact self explanatory and not worth mentioning or showing. No hate just constructive criticism. Keep going 👍🏻
Thank you for the feedback. The model line ups that I reference are the current Australian offerings. Titanium was available in the previous generation as the top of the line. That has been replaced by the Platinum in the version that we covered in the video. Thanks for the great comments
@@braamkotze473 yes he is, because there are gaps in the centre console that you can see the transmission tunnel, the centre console is movable along with the instrument cluster, just a couple of examples. In terms of fit and finish of the interior does that sound like a well built and designed car?
You examined the platinum interior? It leaves the sport version and lower models for dead. If you think the platinum is bad you’ll think those are an abomination.
@@ENDWOKEDEGENERACYI have and it’s very funny that you think there is any difference in quality of the interior between the models, there isn’t really that much higher end difference between what you get in the platinum, different instrument cluster screen, ambient lighting and some minor dash panels.
@@zig-y1v What a load of crap. You saw some other guy’s review where he checks for movement in the middle console and upper console. I call bullshit you’ve seen these cars personally on the inside because your opinion doesn’t make sense.
Looks absolutely stunning in this metallic silver! This monster looks better than any other car In same segment and price range. Well done Ford!
Well said
Best review I have seen so far on the Everest.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for the feedback
Excellent walkthrough, would love to see you do the same with a Sport model.

Excellent review. Like the car too.
Glad you liked it

Best walkthrough! Thanks
Glad it helped!
Great presentation. How do you add the ADBlue indicator to the instrument cluster as mentioned in your review?
It is covered at the 18:00 and 23:25 minute marks
Nice review, I pick up my 24 platinum in bronze next week.👌👌
Kinda confusing watching an Aussie review with a South African accent. Great review! Thank you.

Hi , I am watching walkthrough advert for Ford everest platinum 2023.This is very nice car for me and my family. Can I ask , do you have copper red coloured for Platinum?.
No copper red available in Australia at the moment. Closest would be Equinox Bronze, but its more to the brown than the red.
Hi Greate overview, do you know if the recovery points are ok to pull your car if you are bogged down or just for delivery use?
As I understand it they are what Ford calls rated recovery points. So should be able to. Would check with your local Ford Dealer to make sure.
Great video.
Very detailed.
Well done.
Would be great if there was a feature to show the charge level of the battery
I got 2 Raptors on order (Me and Mrs)...mmmmmm might cancel one and replace it with a Platinum for Mrs.
Scale models?
Well done a great commentary congratulations
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice car....I need this
Thoughts on best colour for this model? Your personal opinion.
My personal favourite is the Equinox Bronze

Do you know the difference driving the Everest with the 21" wheels compared to the 18" wheels?
The dealership where we got the Everest from has not had a client select the 18's from factory which has been delivered yet. When we see one, we will be sure to check it out.
I can’t believe you mention the Front Washer but not the Pano Roof. ;)
Good point, thank you
The last part was actually a review
Do I have an option to have the platinum without the sunroof?
Not in Australia. Platinum comes standard with sunroof
This is the third generation not the second generation as you mention
Is Platinum the Top Spec?
Yes, it is the top of the range in Australia
hi what color this model is
This colour is called Aluminium.
It also has a panoramic roof...did you notice that! Cause you didn't mention a thing about it
Hi Xolani. We did mention it in our original filming, but we cut it for time. We figured that you could see the sunroof from several shots and that was self explanatory. We are sorry that you felt like we missed some information.

Ford have out priced itself with the new model. Probably great but a big no chance for me
Forgot to say titanium in its variant
It has total 5 variants

“Well designed and built”regarding the interior is a little bit of a stretch.
Is he wrong?

Wrong, this is the third Everest.
That technicality is so important to point out. You’re so smart.
Wrong heap of crap drive 1 on rough roads V6 very thirsty Titanium far better road car
That makes sense. The Titanium has the 2.0lt Bi-Turbo engine. It's more economical than the V6, a great engine!
Heap of crap? I mean having a whinge that a normally aspirated V6 engine is thirsty is like complaining that water is wet. Go buy a Prius.
