Chris, You can get all sorts of information on how to build things on RUclips and most of them are similar. What sets your channel apart from the others is the enthusiasm and pure joy that you are projecting. Thank you for the video and keep them coming.
Marshall you don’t know how much that means to me. The goal is to make this maker space a bit more exciting and accessible to people who haven’t had the privilege or haven’t had any type of inclination, to make things. It does my heart well to know that it’s coming through thank you so much for the kind words again
He's not wrong my man... maker videos are a dime a dozen, it's our personality that keeps the audience returning and growing!!
Grand theft auto. 👏🏻👏🏻
Bingo Tommy vercetti
Sweet little stand!
That’s what she said
“Nut above the cut” - gotta be a T-Shirt
When the wheels are locked on that beast, does it stay in one place when you're torquing on something?
100% it does. I can actually put two hands on the handle and support myself by doing a few dips
Just a tip on cutting and grinding metal on your pretty driveway...
Designate a spot and try to make the sparks (spikes) go in the same direction all the time... You'll wind up with an ugly rust stain that WILL NOT come off the driveway..
Glad to see you putting the new shop to use :)
Oh yes. Just the tip of the iceberg
Hey there Chris very good video and great work again!! 👍🏻 Vice city wasn't that from grand theft auto? I believe so 🤗 but hey I am 42 haha not my type of thing 😉 I do more with welding and metalworking 😜, hope to see you soon in the new video see yah 👍🏻👊🏻
You’re hundred percent correct. Thank you so always and I appreciate your kind words
Nice to have that thing mobile!
That’s what she said
Sorry, your title says '200lb Mobile Vise Stand', but your thumbnail pic says 'Mobile _Vice_ Stand', so I won't be able to use it.
My own 'vices' weigh a whole lot more than 200 pounds.... :)
EDIT: Aha! I just got to the end, where you show the sticker with 'Vice'. So I suppose you're going to wiggle out of the thumbnail spelling by saying it's an intentional reference to the sticker? Oh, OK, I'll let you off the hook! lol
And forgot to say it before, but I love your content, editing, skills in the shop, and indefatigable good cheer! Well done!
There was a whole story within this comment that’s pretty funny. I appreciate it very much so and it’s good to hear from you again. Your title name is absolutely hilarious. Keep the crazy comments coming they are a riot
I have no idea what any of this means, but I enjoy this guys enthusiasm and passion for whatever it is
That’s too funny. Thank you so much for being here
So...next vid a collab w/ Hand Tool Rescue to restore that bench vice? :-) I like this idea and was contemplating something similar. Anything sparky in the wood shop makes me super nervous.
That would be an awesome collaboration. Thank you so much for the kind words and yes absolutely no sparks in the wood shop
I'd hope most of your viewers are familiar with gta....
They should be the biggest age demographic was around 18 years old at the time of its release
Awesome video Bro. I sure love it when you use your bandsaw 😉. Good stuff keep them coming. 👍👍
You know it bro you earned that spot. Thanks for let me know brother good to see you again at the conference. Take care my friend
Grand theft auto vice city was an awesome game back in the day
It totally was especially taking the bikes up that one ramp off to the right hand side to practice stunts. I know you know the one
I've got one of these and it's really heavy. I just took it off my old work table and I wasn't sure what to do with it, since I used it a lot. It takes up a lot of room. Making it mobile is not a bad idea at all. AWESOME! You have such great ideas for things like this.
Hey Linda, good to hear from you again my lady. You are correct these are super useful and now that it’s mobile it actually opens up how much more I can use it
Hi Chris, a new subscriber here. I was wondering if I could get a look at that farm table in your back yard since you stained it? By the way love your channel.
Welcome aboard. Glad to have you here, truth be told I never did stain that the table 😲🤫
A Glimpse Inside hahaha good to know. 😄
wow someone broke the heck out of that vice jaw at some point!
Yeah for sure!
Just go to a truck savage yard and get a break drum for a base
That’s a pretty good idea right there
GTA
From the corrections department, don't use a spade bit at all... Not sure why they are still a thing...
I know. But the Forster bit I had for that size. Grew legs and somehow walked away
@@AGlimpseInside okay, ill let it slide this time... Lol
Nice project, need one of those myself. 👍
Well you’re just some plywood and a few bags of concrete away
Very nice...You should restore the vice and replace the jaws if they can be replaced. If the are not replaceable, then sorry to say that the vice is not worth the time spent building a stand for it. This is coming from a 20yr welder/pipefitter who know a little bit about vices.
How come you didn't paint vice
I like the old rusted look.
Hi Chris great build and will be one for my shed but now you need to paint the vice so it looks even better. I’m a spray paint and a bright green would look great with that black stand .
How does it hold up now that its been three years? Can it withstand hammering ?
Tommy Vercetti would be proud of this cart.
Hey Chris, Very cool build!! So, are you going to restore the vice and paint it?? Like the color of the decal!! Lol...
I probably will just leave the vice as it is. I wish I could restore it but time is money you know
Looking really happy with the new shop! Well done mate
Nothing wrong with the spelling Chris. It's vice, like ice, lice, nice, dice, rice etc! Well done, and a big G'day from Australia!
Every time I see a comment from someone from Australia I read the entire thing with the Aussie accent. Absolutely love that accent. And thanks for the affirmation of the spelling have a great day mate
Wire wheel that vise clean then throw some Flood Penetrol on it. 😉
Looking forward to seeing that shop update!
Nut above the cut kind of reminds me of a guillotine lol. Miami Vice is what you should name it since you live in Florida. Great show .Yes I’m older too lol. GTA . Keep the videos coming of the moving of tools being moved in to new shop.
Oh yeah my friend. At least once a week I’ll put something out updating you guys. Grandtheft auto was pretty revolutionary back in the day. I’ll be at controversial there still was nothing like it
I like this build. Good looking and practical use. Great job and the GTA reference goes with it very well.
I know it’s the only way I could incorporate pink. That 80s vibe is so cool
I just found your channel and I absolutely love your content... I wish you nothing but success!
Thank you so much Austin
great video as always my man!! Did the base need both bags of counterweight, or did you use two cause had room for it??
No I cut the space for two bags. Thanks for being involved brother hope all is well in your neck of the woods #Arlington
Always a fun time Chris, thanks for taking us along on this one. I've also tried a speed bore in a drill press through plywood - same result ;) We're all human haha
That’s crazy. It actually scared me as it started to just climb up. Also the Chuck actually got dislodged it was a mess really I didn’t show at all. Good to hear from you my friend
I have the little Milwaukee blower ,I love that thing for cleaning up in the shop the variable speed I great .noticed you have the makita.
Hey there’s more than one way to blow dust around right brother
Awesome video!
Thank you so much
That looks pretty sweet... how does it feel working out in that fancy new shop?
Feels pretty amazing sir
Gta vice city
Hundred percent
Great idea!
Thanks Rick
Love the new shop. Awesome job on the mobile vice. You have some skills man!
Thank you so much. That really does mean a lot to me. Hope you’re doing well my friend
Brilliant thanks. I’ll be doing a similar build very soon
Sounds good Brian thanks for watching
GT BABY! Love the vice such a gret idea!! Cheers Chris
Thank you so much Vinny
Wow, never seen that spray paint before.. that is amazing
I know right
Great job I think putting cement bags in the bottom was smart
Thank you David I agree my friend
GTA haha
Tommy and Vance
Great project. And a GTA reference to boot. Nice work.
Thank you buddy I appreciate you knowing what’s up
Cool project buddy. Thanks for sharing. Love the shop.
Thank you as well. I too love this new shop so much
Thank you so much as well. I too love this new shop
That is a big ass can!
What do you mean ass can ?
A Glimpse Inside that can of spray paint it looked twice as tall as a regular one.
What . . . ??? All that work and a cool sticker, but yet you failed to paint the vice?
I like the old patina brother
Nice stand! I like the counter-weighted base! The vise needs some love now!
You are so true. However I like the old character but it would be nice if it was maybe chrome plated or something crazy
@@AGlimpseInside I had the same feelings about an old vise I grew up using in my dad's shop that he gifted to me. I ended up just cleaning it really well and putting a couple coats of satin clear poly on it to preserve the patina. Best choice ever! Now it's clean (and easier to keep clean!) and still has the look that remember it having when it was in his shop! You might think about something like that if you get a chance to clean it up a bit but don't want to go "Full-resto" on it.
That sticker the misses made ya reminded me of the Miami vice logo lol awesome yet retro 😉 but could also be GTA 😎
I love that thing. I need one of those for my vice and my bench grinder.
Awesome video as usual ;)
Thank you so much I appreciate that
Nice build! Miami?
Thank you sir. Most definitely. Especially from the grand theft auto series
Great addition to you shop! :)
What’s up Kathleen thank you so much
A Glimpse Inside All good here in NY!
Awesome
Thank you
@@AGlimpseInside Loving The Channel, my garage is coming on nicely, basic but perfect for me, bought two Table saws, one i'll use for rip cuts and other with a sled. first job to build the perfect work bench.
Neil Cook That sounds like a set up to dream about. Enjoy that brother I might do that one of these days as well. Maybe keep one table saw as a dado stack
Nut above the CUT 👕 there's your T-shirt
I’m calling Teespring now
@@AGlimpseInside do I least get a shirt out of it lol
Chris, where do you get your Baltic Birch? I live in Orange Park.
Thanks

@@AGlimpseInside thanks a lot Chris, by chance do you know Rick Henning??
