Awesome video. Out of the entire video, you said one major thing that is very important....."I'm HAPPY with it". I know no matter what you (anyone) do....there are haters, nit pickers, complainers, trolls and the whatnots. Continue to believe in yourself and grow, it is your shop, do it the you want to and what makes you happy. God Bless
Thanks Mike. I’m really lucky in this regard. I can count on one hand how many trolls I’ve had in the past 3 1/2 years. I really do have what I believe, is the best audience on this platform. That includes you my friend. Thanks again
Chris! You have no idea how much you just made my day in a hot second with a glimpse of your alignment block for helping you align the depth of your circular saw. I literally just finished a shed and this would have been a life saver for setting up a guide fence.
Thanks brother. That’s what it’s all about little tips and tricks to help us through each and every project. I’m glad you got something out of it Dillon thanks for reaching out
This is not only beautiful, but the safety features are brilliant. Your daughter is very lucky to have a dad who pays so much attention to her, even when working. She's a cutie. Your intro to your family and new full time job made me cry and I've watched all your videos. Awesome.
I look forward in watching your video’s every time you drop one on here. Love watching your interaction with your family and you should be proud of the dad you are . You show your kids how much you love them by the way you talk and interact with them. Keep up your great video’s and thanks mate all the way from a dad in Australia
Chris, thanks for sharing the technique you used on making the drill press stand, but also for spending the time to share your shop life with your two precious children. They will learn more and more as they grow with you, and you will continue to grow along with them. God Bless you all.
I love how you include your kids, it reminds me of when mine were younger, the time passes by so fast. Enjoy it! 😌 And I love how your daughter and son interact. My daughter (13) used to do the same thing to my son (10) at that age…. 😉
This press has worked like a charm for my projects ruclips.net/user/postUgkxajoEbapTfqWaadnqb04h6U576yxXp-FE . I didn't even secure it to my table top, mainly due to the fact that I was using a 15 lbs drill vise. It's not flimsy at all as to what others have claimed it to be. Make sure the locking nuts and levers are secured and there won't be any issues with light pressure and patience. I was able to drill through aluminum, plastic, and steel (steel took a while) with no problems at all. Yeah it took a little longer than a regular drill press, but I don't have the space OR the money for one.The instruction manual was worthless, but luckily assembling the press was intuitive. However, the manual would be good for ordering replacement parts if needed. There is a nice breakdown of the parts that are included in the kit. Before ordering, make sure it is compatible with your unit, it is clearly stated what models the press is compatible with. This was an excellent purchase for $40!!
I did something similar to yours. I purchased a Delta drill press and made me a cabinet with 2 drawers and a open bottom area for my other tools like hand grinder ect I love my cabinet and my delta drill press. Great job. Your kids are cute. Make some saw dust!!!!!
Never commented below before....long time subscriber....the micro adjustment made me comment.....and yes the family content is good, makes things normal again. Keep the faith.
This is one video I need to bookmark. So cool and such good instruction. I have never installed drawer slides. They didn't exist in my day. Time I learned about them. Thanks a ton, eh.
It’s an awesome piece of art you’ve created Chris, hopefully it does not tip forward when drawer is opened away from its parking station. Thank you for your videos.
Great idea with the stabilising bracket Chris. Drawers make ideal steps for little feet which could otherwise topple it over, but not now! G'day from Australia!
Almost too nice looking for shop furniture!! Looks great! It is fun to see the shenanigans! My kids always hang in my office and shop with me too! I love it!
Great build. I really like the data were slides. Rocker.... I like their tools and accessories & I like to hear from other woodworkers using their products. I like how you stabilized the drill press to the cabinet, and to the wall with the shopmade bracket and the wedges. Letting your little kids run around was great. Keep up the great projects. I have my benchtop mounted to a 6” post in the middle of the shop. A 24x36’shop.Not fancy about it's stable. Build your cabinet to go under would work good. Thank you
Nice job Chris and a great idea on the safety aspect, alway's good to remember that your little one's are hanging around with you and you need eyes 👀 in the back of your head too. This is one less of a worry now for you when the little one's are around the workshop! 💯%👍🇬🇧
Very nicely done Chris 👌👍👍 always enjoy your kids in the video. It's been a while since I've seen a new video. I hope all is well with you and your family and you've been busy. Looking forward to seeing the next one. God Bless 🙏😇 and Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and videos Rodney
Those levels REALLY need to be displayed! You even have plenty of space for it so no need to feel guilty about using up an area that could be used for something else........ you could always do what I do and make storage cupboards and attach the level display to the doors, which works really well if everything has good pockets to fit into 🙂 And yes, laminate is sharp, especially when it's on a mighterred corner..... cut with a hand saw, so nice a jagged!!! ☹ As always, loved the project and definitely the locking bracket on the wall! 👍👍👍👍
My first ever woodworking project was an enclosure for a bearded dragon that I made out of melamine. When I picked the material up at the home center, I noticed how sharp the edges were and bought a pair of gloves. The cart turned out great. The contrast between the wood and the laminate turned out to be a nice touch.
Something nobody seems to utilize, the slot holes in the drill-press foot. They are there so you can mount and move the press front to back. If you extend the floor of the stand out the back further creating a shelf, you can strap in long stock for end drilling by swivelling the drill-head around, loosening the bolts ( big wing nuts) in the slots and sliding the press back, retighten. Various clamping/height devices can be fashioned to hold stock. Press stand only puts the press stand out a few more inches off the wall. Also use the long cubby created to store long-ish press accessories, fence and stuff.
This presentation is noteworthy for addressing a major safety concerns--the danger of tipping--that comes with mounting any tall machine on to a table or cart. Chris's wall bracket is a clever solution for his shop, but the narrowness of his cabinet (and a couple of other RUclips builds) remains a concern when his mobile cart (note casters) is detached from that wall bracket. If limited by space concerns mandates a narrow mobile stand, consider designing counter weight into the base via thicker plywood and heavier casters. Caster choice is another important safety concern, so take time to research choices in relation to workshop floor variations and the potential for typical woodworker screws to shear or be torn from the base of the stand. Think lag screws and a thick base (1.5 inches min.).
Love this cart! I will be upgrading to a new 12" drill press later this year and want to make something very similar. I love the design with the black melamine!
Another great video, Chris. Just the inspiration I needed to replace my old drill press cabinet/stand as I rebuild my shop. If you ever make it to the end of the road stop by the Key West Makers shop.
Great wildlife storage Zoo you build your youngling. Loved the build and MMA Demo of course. Really liked the wedge safety addition too. Thanks for another great share mate. I made a jig for hitting the centre of the plywood edges to help me get straight screw hole lines. You made that build look so easy. Loved the drawer trick. Cheers.
the kids are great, love the punch bag i think that everyone should make a stand/storage as soon as they get a drill press, it makes life much easier :-)
Such crazy timing. I was planning on building my own drill press stand this weekend, and was going to look online for some examples today. And wouldn't you know it, I get a notification from your channel with this awesome stand!
New to the channel. Saw your shop build and quickly subbed. I dont have a drill press, but maybe one day. I've just started some light woodworking and I'm loving it. Also, I used to live in Florida, and I cant wait to go back! PA winters ain't fun. Keep up the awesome videos! Great energy.
I’ve never seen that drawer slide micro adjust, even in another video and trust me I watch a lot of videos. Anyway awesome vid thanks again for all you do.
Can we get plans and measurements any where? Newvie here never don’t drawer and u make it look so simple will like to make something like that for my drill press. Love the family. Thank for the amazing videos.
Picked up that DeWalt table. I’ve been needing something to quickly setup my miter saw and table saw. But also small enough to be stored away. Good looking out.
I have a similar setup, but I found a piece of 2x4 to be my favorite addition. Length is up to you, but stand it on edge and drill various size holes (not through holes) in it. On one wide side, mount a few rare earth magnets. Now stick it on the side of the metal cover up top. I keep all my common drill press stuff there such as a chuck key, center punch, 6" ruler, pencil, etc... No reason to dig through a drawer for that stuff. Nice job on the cabinet.
Great Drill table..!! Here is another project you might want to take on. What about something like a wood mechanics tool chest. Something like a snap on tool chest. Multiple drawers etc
That piece is sexy!!! I live the contrast of the black and the wood grain. It looks like office furniture!! I LOVE LOVE ❤️ your kids’ interactions with you!!! I truly enjoy your channel for your creative content as well as their appearances.
I’m a first timer to your channel. Great video and love your children showing up.

Love the idea of the wooden bracket hold downs. The entire cabinet looks really good with the black color.
Thank you buddy I appreciate it

In the process of organizing my new Kustom Knife Shop. Am planning on using this an many of the French Cleat ideas. Thanks!
This is not only beautiful, but the safety features are brilliant. Your daughter is very lucky to have a dad who pays so much attention to her, even when working. She's a cutie. Your intro to your family and new full time job made me cry and I've watched all your videos. Awesome.
Well thank you so much Laura I really appreciate it so much you have no idea. Hope you’re doing well and stay safe out there
Cabinet looks fantastic. Little girl working the punching bag was funny.
love the black look with the light edges from the router
Yeah same here turned out sweet
🤣🤣🤣... "She's happier than a seagle with a French fries". LOL....Love it!
Great build. Love the family shop👍
Glad you enjoyed that way. Thanks again man
You're a good father. Take t from a daughter who didn't have one. Great build. Great solution to prevent tipping.
Thank you so much I appreciate that.
Best dad award! I never had the patience. Still working on it.
Thank you brother
Love the contrast of the black and cut edge!
Great project and the help your kids give is amazing.
Adorable kids. Clicked an ad to support you guys!
It’s awesome to see how great and patient you are with your kids! Love the drill press cart/table! Will definitely use this idea! Thanks
Thank you I’m glad you noticed. It really does mean a lot
They grow up very fast. My kids are in their forties.
I look forward in watching your video’s every time you drop one on here. Love watching your interaction with your family and you should be proud of the dad you are . Looks awesome. And you’re a wonderful father. 😊
That’s very sweet of you. Thank you so much
This is the best thing about you you show your human.
Thank you I really appreciate that
Love it mate, the draw runner feature is fantastic 🍻👍, greets from Australia
"A seagul with a french fry" Love it. I litteraly LOL'd. I love your energy and videos.
Going to build on for all my tools

Great looking drill cabinet, makes me want to rethink my temporary cabinet
Very nice. Watched it start to finish. I like the way you captured the drill press base.
Great build. Your enthusiasm makes your videos. That melamine looks slick. I look forward to the next one.
I did something similar to yours. I purchased a Delta drill press and made me a cabinet with 2 drawers and a open bottom area for my other tools like hand grinder ect I love my cabinet and my delta drill press. Great job. Your kids are cute. Make some saw dust!!!!!
Great job chum. Even better kids. God job Dad.
Can never have enough drawers in the shop!
Yes but we have to keep them clean
Nice job on you drill press cabinet ,.
Nice! That DeWalt table is slicker than snot.
I love sometimes...
These very good short videos...
Thx
I bought one of those tables earlier this Spring. They are excellent. Nice job with the stand. I always learn something when I watch your videos.
Thanks Dave I wish I had bought this table sooner. He really is the bees knees. Hope you’re doing well
Love the build..you make it simple to understand. Navy Girl in Williamsburg VA.
Never commented below before....long time subscriber....the micro adjustment made me comment.....and yes the family content is good, makes things normal again. Keep the faith.
That's a great looking cabinet for the drill press. I like that you child proofed it.
Turned out great. I need to do the same thing. Love that little princess. Stay safe my friend.
Thanks so much!! She says hello 👋
Wow. It came out awesome! Best thing about it is that you made it. Lots of pride in your shop! Great video Chris!
need to build one for my new drill press. Thank you for the idea.
The bare plywood looks surprisingly nice against the black. Like the little shelf trick
This is one video I need to bookmark. So cool and such good instruction. I have never installed drawer slides. They didn't exist in my day. Time I learned about them. Thanks a ton, eh.

No such thing as too nice shop furniture because you spend so much time in here it’s nice to want to look at what’s surrounding you
I think the empty drawers would be a good home for a few stuffed animals!!! Looks really great! Well done!
Very cool project. I now have some ideas for my drill press stand.

Super smart dude!
Yeah great job. You are the plywood man thats for sure!
Sweet build. Great channel! I, too, love the family-friendly aspect of your channel.
Nice job Chris, like the laminated plywood. You and your sidekick did a great job. 👍🏻👏🏻🇬🇧

As always, loved the project and definitely the locking bracket on the wall! 👍👍👍👍
I do like your idea of using the levels for some type of functionality. I’m definitely going to make a display for them in the next few months
@@AGlimpseInside just make sure you get the display level or you'll never be able to forget it all of the bubbles will be off center 😂 👍
Look great and the ide with the bracket is cool.
That's an awesome project. I have an ancient AMT bench top drill press that could use an upgraded cart.
You do such nice clean work.
Not gonna lie, the sand paper box labels is my #1 take away.... Great build though, I really like the contrast in colors.
That really made me smile. I’m so glad you took that away from this video that’s so cool
Love your work and you have a great personality.

That’s a really good point. I didn’t realize that as well. Thank you so much for sharing it here
Amazing job. Love that little bundle of a helper. Reminds me of my kids coming into my shop when they where younge
That drill press cart came out great. Now you have to film you making a drill press table and fence for it lol .great vid
Well I already have a table that was on my last drill press I just moved it over. But I probably do need to upgrade it
I love the way it came out. Super useful build!
Great stuff bud... and definitely love the black laminate plywood.. came out really sharp looking
I love it and want to make one for my new drill press!
Nice one Chris, looks great! 👍👏👏👏

Just bought a new pillar drill (our name for it in the UK) and just finished a cart as well - freaky timing. Great build again brother 👊
Great job! I love the incorporated tip-proof design. I wish I had the wall space to do so!
Awesome, it’s always great to watch your videos.
Thank you Stephen
the kids are great, love the punch bag

Love it. A great project and I nerd to build something exactly like that to organize my small shop.

great build, looks amazing. very well done, sir! 👍
Looks awesome & your daughter is super cute
Killin it like always my man!
Very Nice... Thanks for the family time...
Awesome cabinet. I think I’m going to build one similar when I get my shed so I have more room for my tools and better organized.
