In This video I feature FOUR shop upgrades. Learn how to build drawers and do a few DIY projects. the best of which, in my opinion, is making drawers with no metal hardware. The others range from: a craft paper tower, a few vertical partitions, and some overhead storage featuring my shop made French cleat Brackets. Which can be found at

I can’t help myself but I love binge watching wood working channels and discovering new channels like yours
The nylon strap trick is fantastic. You're a genius, thanks for sharing. Will be building a drawer like that this weekend
Chris, it's obvious that your bakery management prepared you for how to run a production wood shop!! Very well done!
That space management, Chris has it nailed. Me, not so much, lol.
The blue tape method for clearance is a great idea, really enjoyed the video! 👍
Genius. Pure genius.
Chris, I’ve been watching your channel for a while now and I am amazed at your intelligence and energy, threw everything you have shared about your personal life and how you endured and keep going , you are an inspiration to me and I’m a life long woodworker in my 60’ s keep it going, stay strong 👍
Love the strap stops! I have yards of strap that I've been holding on to for years. Kept thinking "I'll find a use for it...NOW I actually do! Lol! Thanks...keep 'em coming.
I would suggest that when building drawer boxes, make the sides the long pieces and nail from the side. You will have a much smaller chance they will pull apart.
My favorite one is the overhead storage with the smaller shelves underneath. You have taken the cleat system to another level. Awesome!
Your ingenuity is encouraging! I always enjoy your honest, open approach when narrating the videos.
Thank you so much Man that means a lot
I love everything you make but I have been looking for these kind of drawer making, it's perfect! Thank you
Chris your Ingenuity with these shop projects is crazy. Great ideas!
Not only dad’s have fun with your kids I’m a grandpa I have 3 grandkids number 4 is on the way halfway but every day they help me so much with my ilnes so take lot of time with your little princes
Greetings from Holland
From a grandpa to a daddy 😊
Your shop organization is insane! Good work keeping everything so neat and tidy!
One of my favorite channels! Hands down. Some of the best vibes out here
Chris love the product development. I also like seeing your process engineering skills evolve as you go along. Great stuff bud.
love the drawers! especially the stops - very low tech, simple and effective!
I love the child friendly safty.
Chris, Your CNC recent addiction has now made you a CNC Pusher. You keep giving us little samples and now I am one of those who is hooked enough that I NEED A CNC! Seriously though, glad to see your creativity transform into such success. Even if I don't have the CNC yet, your ideas are still excellent and applicable to most of our shops. Keep up the awesome work. BTW bought your tool hooks and some FC shelf brackets.
You’re gonna become so much more calm place as this technology becomes more accessible. Thank you for that I appreciate Kevin
I'm glad I watched this video. I have learned a few tricks and techniques I can use in my workshop. The straps under the drawer was a very good one. Genius!! Thank you for sharing. God bless you.
Hey Bud.
You are doing great.
I looove all the projects on a CNC.
I been a CNC machinist for 25 years and I really enjoyed all your projects.
Thanks so much for all the advice.
God bless you and your family.
From Cypress Texas
Thank you so much for that
I think this is an awesome drawer set up👍! It's simple, easy, and does the job. I especially love the strap stop to keep the drawer in place. Again it's effective and easy to do. This project requires no hardware, no dato cuts. I love it! Good job, great video!
Thanks for sharing! 👊
One of the more impressive DYI’s out there. Very creative. Thanks so much mighty man of God!
Very nice additions Chris. Like the drawer glides, that cnc machine makes some very nice projects. Keep the great videos coming, love your little helpers
The draws & stops are pretty cool! Simple & quick building and it works! Good job! Gonna build for myself. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the new ideas!
I always get the best ideas watching your channel, thanks 😊
What a sweetheart. I use to give my grandsons wood blocks n a 🔨 to use on the blocks only n on the floor not the benches.
Very clever upgrades. They are useful, and they look really good! 💪💪💪
Thanks for this video man! You have a whole new video you can add separately: easy drawers fronts without hardware. All the other videos always needed the handles for the installation but you made it just like I needed. God bless you man. Kudos.
Another great video. Thanks Chris.
Great work!
Getting me inspired to get to work on my workshop area in my garage.
Love the drawers I can’t wait to try them. Another great video. Thanks for making them.
Very ingenious and creative. Hats off to you. Also, I enjoy your contagious smile and enthusiasm.
Very cool projects. Thanks!
I love your drawer stops
I love the drawer slide one! I did something similar with 1x2s, and instead of using paste wax to help them slide easier I used a quarter inch spacer between the drawer slides so it slides really smooth.
👍thank you for sharing this! You just helped me solve my problem
Man you are way smarter than I to design, cut, and design some of this stuff.
You got some real good ideas.. i came for the drawers but watched most of it
I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed seeing you play with your children. My 6 yr. old daughter loves being with me in my pole barn, and I love having her there also.
I won't go into detail but I'm 69 yrs. old and thank God for the time He gives me to be with my daughter. I know this isn't what your video is about but I think you showing
you with your children shows you are a good man with your priorities right.
. Thanks for sharing the part of your story as well. Yeah the kids being around is awesome. They bring such a happy life to any situation
Great job Chris.
Love the drawer stop. I likely will steal this idea for some dresser drawers that regularly get pulled one inch too far.
Awesome video, I really enjoyed the drawer slides and the safety stop strap..... that was totally awesome!! I'm going to use that on my shop!! Thank you!! Take care.
Great idea! I'm going to do this in my shop
Cool drawers. Super simple.
Love your design ideas!
Great work. Love the upgrades. And that you find time to play with the kids.
More great ideas, Chris, thanks. Can’t wait to move into the new shop so I can finally start applying your product and wisdom.
Thank you so much Tom I really appreciate it
Some great tips in this video! Thanks for sharing.
Been looking for a drawer guide video that is within my means and know how to, thanks for sharing
Good ideas and fun to watch!
Man, looks like you had a ton of fun with this. Those drawer slides are incredible. Definitely gonna make those when I make my first cabinet ever :D Thanks for sharing! You got a subscriber!
Interesting upgrades. On the subject of children, you get unlimited joy from your children. I hope your father is still with you and if he is then sit down with him and ask him to explain the joy of having grandchildren. You are older and have more time to appreciate them. You also have learnt how valuable they are, whether they be your grand children or any one else's. To explain a bit, I have the honour of putting on the red suit in December for our local Special Education Unit and have done so for over 20 years. I think that I receive more joy from doing this than the kids do. If we don't protect all children then we have no future. Thanks.
Terry from Australia.
You should try giving your daughter a wood offcut or other weight to hold in each hand, spin her around on the office chair with her arms outstretched, then let go and tell her to pull her arms in. She will of course, start spinning faster when she does. Kids love it and it's a great little physics lesson.
Drawer slides look great…gonna try and make that this weekend!
Nice upgrades. God Bless!
Love the strap idea!
Great ideas I especially liked the draw stops. Your kids are awesome.
I love the drawer slides and stop
That's Awesome!!! Well Done!!! Thank You!!!! 👍😎😃🤘
Wow, that so clever how you did your drawers, so cool. Great job.
Having that daughter- you are so blessed 🙏
Lots of great ideas.👍
I love this video great ideas for how to get more out of my shop
Awesome. Thank you so much!❤️
I love the double layered FC shelves
Thank you brother very much
I subscribed because of this video, thank you! Very informative and well done!
Really clever sir, nice job!
BRILLIANT...NUFF SAID!
Just got a CNC and can’t wait to try some projects like you have been doing! Keep up the good stuff
I really that idea of using the smaller shelf bracket under the larger one 😉
The drawer pulls & stopping straps are genius!!! I will certainly give them a try!!! 😎👍🏽
Thanks brother as you should. It’s surprisingly useful
Great Work!
First- Good for you for talking about a real issue many men have as you said over 40 but think it's related to the performance when it's most likely not. It's no different for women after menopause and we lose our energy. Many of us need estrogen in our 40s & 50s. It is nothing for men to be ashamed of. Secondly, who cares what the dispenser looks like, I do like it, and it is a very efficient setup. Love it and your kids are just adorable!!
I love those flush faced no hardware drawers you made.👍
Thank you so much for your content and knowledge/idea sharing! I will be moving into a house in a while and thanks to you am picking up some ideas for the shop I'll be building in my garage ;-)
Chris, I love that you are using all of your space under shelves, with more shelves or drawers. Then you also make the hardware for them as well. Genius, my friend. Could you give a little history of your woodworking skills? Do you ever use SketchUp when you plan your jigs and, of course, the French cleats?
Thanks for sharing and teaching. Felix
I liked the drawer slides
Clever idea with the drawer stops. I did these kind of drawers in my router table for narrow bit storage and.. well I've pull them out by accident more than once. Great other tips too!
Thanks Phillip I appreciate it buddy
First thing that crossed my mind to prevent pulling them out accidently, was paracord and two holes. One hole in the end piece and another on the back self and two knots. Easy way to undo and take them off.
Hey great idea. I make shelves and always wanted drawers but never tried because those drawer slides look difficult. Thanks to your video I can now make some easy to make drawers that work. Thank you very much.
Really like the rails👍🏻
Great video. love seeing the kids in your videos. those are the best part of your videos, oh yeah you build some pretty cool stuff too lol
I think the wood slides, especially for shelves that will hold light weight are massively overlooked. Great job utilizing all the space in your shop.
I need to do a bunch of upgrades to my little shop. Because it's so small (9x13 feet), every inch of space counts, I need to think about how to organize everything really carefully. I've had some ideas on how to improve it, but I've neglected getting them done. I think once the holiday season is over, I will spend more time and effort on building some stands for tools, parts storage, and so on. This video has gotten me thinking about some things. Thanks, Chris. 👍
dude the double used french cleat is genius! i will use it too 👍
Really enjoyed this video, you are a very creative person
Great stuff!!!!
Alignment pin(dowel) on the shelf divider "clamp"- no fiddling with it if/when it's moved! It's a thought 🤔!
Kudos!!!
I first saw a similar drawer slide elsewhere. It is a bit simpler without the side channel just a slat the drawer slides on, that was during the covid. Now I want to add them with multiple drawers under the rolling table saw cart I made back then. Your solution is perfect to keep the drawers from hanging down along with the “nylon webbing” to hold them in. However, I am planning to use melamine strips so the slides go easier. I really like the creative curves on your shelf supports which has given me some ideas for winter projects. Thx.
Good morning Chris, loved this video and going to give them draws an go. I've always watched YT to look at how to make the best draw and stressed at my level of expertise. After watching this now I've got no worries for what I need them for. Keep up the good work buddy and best wishes to you and your loved ones. Stay Safe.
As the dad of an eighteen-year-old, I remember those moments. There are different experiences now, but those moments of silly kid play are among my best memories ever.
Can't believe I missed this video when it came out. But I have been looking for the drawer portion. On point t brother.
Love the idea how to stop the drawer :)
Brilliant, Chris! Really nice projects! 😃
Thanks for all the tips!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks brother hope you’re having a good start to your summer
Made similar drawers under a bench. For the drawer stops, just used small blocks of ply. One on the drawer, one on the slide. Fit one of them after you slide the drawer in, secure with one screw. take it out if you ever need to remove the drawer.
I’m new to this channel, and I just want to say: Outstanding video, wish I could give it 5 thumbs up. It’s awesome that you show your mistakes, it keeps all of us motivated knowing that no one is perfect. And awesome ingenuity with the drawer slides. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much. I appreciate you checking this out and all the positive feedback means a lot. Hope you’re having a great weekend.
Great job 👍
Great video. For the "under shelves", it feels like you could quickly design a single bracket that would accommodate both shelves at the same time. The plywood drawer slides seem ideal for light duty work.
Can't agree with you more on your little ones, they grow up fast! Keep up the great work!
To help you with the drawer hardware cut your strips that go on the drawer (obviously if you have the room in the back) 2 or 3 inches longer than the drawer, and let it hang out the back. This will help with pulling them out to far and gives extra support to the drawer when it has weight in them.
