Nice job getting sponsorship. Used policy genius previously and liked it. Just one note, you should check out adam ragusea for advertisement transitions.
Nice! Some of those rapid cut sequences sounded oddly musical. Building a bunch of drawers is bad enough, so you get extra, extra credit for doing the slides as well :)
I was thinking a combination of Atari 2600-type "music" in conjunction with the "Dear Nephew Gobo" theme from Fraggle Rock. Uncle Matt was definitely helping with the quick saw sequences. :)
Most quality video editing softwares have a feature where you can isolate a specific sound and then it will show you every clip with that sound of everything you've imported into it which is how it is easily able to make those rapid cut sections where he's just a cutting a dado into a sheet of plywood. The only really challenging part would be the overlaying multiple clips of himself into the same frame but he makes that a lot easier on himself by not touching the camera at all, and like he said another videos he's basically just mimicking a lot of different RUclipsrs that he has seen that make what he considers compelling videos so we'll say this is like six different RUclipsrs styles all rolled up into one and I think it's beautiful
Despite the roughness of the "low grade" wood it's really a nice looking cabinet I actually like the "void" look. It's ironic that the first video I can genuinely say I didn't fear for your safety around all the wood cutting tools happens to be the one where you and your magic clones discuss life insurance.
1. Very nice to see an honest craftsman who makes a mistakes and tells everyone. Thank you from the real world. 2. Think maybe you could add links to the other videos you mentioned at warp speed in the description? It would be awesome!
And the award for the most jump-cuts goes here! I came for the soothing scenes of woodworking, and left with sounds that would not be out of place in a synth setup. *THIS* is the awesome content I enjoy from Robert Dunn!!!
Thanks for the mention. At first I thought your video technique was Jay Bates-esque, but then you threw in the rapid cut sequences which are very clever! I think they would be even better if you rendered those sequences, then re-inserted them into the video at double speed. Some of them get a little long (especially the early miter saw sequence). If you set the RUclips playback to 2X they are much better, especially the sequences where you can see the pieces piling up. Just some friendly advice from another RUclipsr :)
disagree... I think the real time cuts are amazing. There's a thousand youtube videos with crappy post production audio that tries to keep up with 2x video. In this case, I think the 2x video is unnecessary. Plus, it points out that true woodworkers, makers, creators have to deal with repetition. You have to do the same thing a lot of time to make 28 drawer... and you have to have your mind wrapped around it the whole time or you end up with fewer fingers than drawers. On the other hand, I'm a real fan of the @StumpyNubs too...
I love me some stumpy... But I also disagree! This guy's editing makes me so happy. I love the repetitive cuts - both the wood cuts and the video cuts!
Also disagree. This shows the rarely documented repetitive nature of woodworking. I get really bogged down in the hours of processing when I do a project. Lots of you tubers skip over that and give a false perception of ease. Not with Under Dunn. He makes it entertaining and honest. I appreciate that.

Yeah you are definitely my new favorite youtuber. You're the kinda guy that makes a sorcerer in D&D and then argues with the DM about whether Create Water can be cast in someone's mouth or not. My kinda guy. 👍
You went the John Heisz style of drawers. And there he is in the comments! I am so impressed with your builds and by you. You are doing incredibly well and for this being a first-time build-awesome! I am so tired of builders saying "well it's just for the shop" as they slap together something for their shop. Where else but your own shop can you practice and build up your skills, on something with expensive wood? When people like Drew fisher put walnut on, well everything, he does it because he will see it every time he is in his shop and can take pride in what he's done. Using tongue and groove joinery is a great skill to practice instead of butt joints that so many use. It came out terrific and the spaces between the drawer face blend with the rest of the cabinetry. I think that conference table top was a great score. It really makes the whole miter saw/radial arm saw station look great! I bought a radial arm saw some time ago for the exact reason you did. My Dewalt table saw does not accept a dado stack so I bought the r.a. saw so I can make dados to my heart's content. I have a cheapo miter saw which is good enough for now until I get a new one. (Got my eye on the new Rigid miter saw that has the same folded arm as the Bosch one at $200+ less Count me in as a new subscriber!) And I've been woodworking for 40 years and I still make mistakes, we all do so don't beat yourself up about it. It's all a learning process and it's fun. I try to master a new Japanese joint every month and some are very complex and challenging for me, but I love learning something new. That's what fun is for me.
Superb project well done. I made 6 drawers for my shop bench and that was tedious enough. You deserve a medal for 28. I share your enthusiasm for the bonus drawers provide for a tidier shop. Great job. 👍🏻

Outstanding job for your first cabinets and drawers. Major bonus points for the glides. I started in my shop as well, great no stress place to learn. Went from there to the laundry room, which was the prototype for the kitchen (15 bases, 3 full height, 1 upper, 49 drawers). Anyway... What you built is "euro-style". I personally prefer it to face frame style as it gives you more storage space and easier to mount the glides. Worth trying a face frame unit just to understand the difference.

Just a moment, I'm finishing my drawer box assembly seizure. You apparently still like your planer jack stand; I went with your setup and love it as much as anyone can love a tool that isn't 100% ready to go. Brilliant job! I really envy you your 28 drawers!!!!
Great video! As a viewer it’s nice that you did that whole thing in one video. I would have expected 3 or 4 videos, and that would have been totally justified. Your comedy and skills keep me coming back for more content. Keep up the great work!

The filmography (especially sound design) of your videos is fantastic! Very satisfying and fun to watch!
And he’s got a bunch of weird and wonderful cars like a Yugo and a Reliant with an expletive number plate. The wonders never cease.

The editing that has gone into this video!!
Love the enthusiasm and the cheek….this was a huge project and it’s fantastic!
