Chris. Chris. Chris ... THAT'S EXACTLY how I started out with my Dad some 61 years ago! I was 4. He got me my first toolbelt @ 5 years old! Thx! Make sure you tell her... ALL THE TIME... how much you love her!
My wife is at 83, 400 but she's a little different she wants it. That silver play button was a goal and she's so close in just 3 yrs. Good luck to both of you. Thanks for sharing. *Chris*
Congrats to your wife brother it’s not an easy journey for most of us on this platform. It takes time and dedication. You should be proud of her as I know you are. Thanks brother
There's a 'rule' I have with my daughter. All she has to do is say the word 'huggy' and the world stops and I give her my undivided attention for a hug. It's a small expression, but it makes her (and I) feel better and helps to center me back to what's important in my hectic life. So proud to see that you always take the time for your kids to show them the attention they (and you) need.
I have to say that I found your channel by accident (like all great channels) but I am really enjoying the content. I like how it is family friendly, you are always laughing and having fun, and it leaves you with a warm fuzzy feelings when the video is over. One of the things I always do when I find a new channel is go all the way to the oldest video to see the progression. Even back then it was great. Keep up the good work.
Great recovery on the project. Yes us men that are fortunate enough to have children think we are the luckiest in the world. As much as I love seeing your beautiful children in the shop with you, and you know I do. We live in a crazy world unfortunately and we have to be extremely careful where our children are concerned. Please be careful and keep a close eye on them when they are playing in the yard. They are as popular as you are because of your videos. Not trying to scare you, just a reminder my friend.

You could also pull the drawer out as you slide the sander out to provide extra support under the tool if you think it is needed. The top of the drawer front would transfer the weight of the tool to the drawer slides on the drawer that will hold more weight as they are in the orientation that allows them the most strength.
Chris. I recently purchased a similar sander and was thinking about building a flip top roll around cart. Now I have another idea to think about. Great build!

Nice project, Chris. Dumb question... could you have mounted the sander rotated 90 degrees left and stuck the dust port out the side instead of the back? That would save the whole drawer slide situation. You'd have lost access to some of the spindle storage or the inserts, but you did add a storage drawer!
