It's incredible that you're experimenting with difficult writing styles like poetry and inserting humor into your storylines, I been writing my whole life and my goal is to be the best modern day creative writer!

I've been trying to dabble in other genres! It has been a fun experience, and I wouldn't know what I do about my writing process if I didn't take this chance. Even though I'm trying out humor in my storytelling that doesn't mean other people will understand my humor 😅 but we have to start somewhere lol.

Congratulations on completing your first draft! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and process. And I agree, I also keep reminding myself that good books become great with more time and work (and enjoyment, too!).

Thanks Lindsay! 😃 Yes, it's definitely something difficult to remember sometimes 😅 but we will get there!

Wish I could like a video more than once. Loved your reflections here, it’s inspiring for me as I’m at the start of my first draft. ❤ made me laugh at the end as I have a fantasy WIP called project ice too 😆

This comment is so kind 💕 I'm happy you found this video inspiring and helpful for your own writing journey! It is always exciting (but also scary) starting a first draft. Lol, we are definitely not the only ones with a WIP called Project Ice. Another writer told me this same thing before and I got a kick out of it!

SO PROUD OF YOU AND ALL YOUV’VE LEARNED WITH THIS DRAFT!! 🎉
I think you’ve come to a lot of revelations with this book and I know this will only make your next project stronger!

It was an entire experience, and I am not even sorry about it 😂 I like doing these reflection videos because I think there is always something to learn from a self-evaluation. Honestly, writing romance was pretty fun 😳

I've never thought of taking some time to consider what I've learned, once a draft is done. I'm always ready to start whatever is next. What a good habit. Also, kinda excited that you're going back to your snowy fantasy. As someone who's been to the Arctic a few times, I think there's a lot of amazing things you can incorporate into such a setting!

I didn't do a little reflection after writing my first novel, but I've been doing it after I wrote my second one. I think it is so beneficial right now because I am still discovering the craft and trying to just write the darn words lol. This definitely helps me stay in check!
This snowy project is my entire being right now 😍 I think what made me decide to return to this one was watching Lost in the Artic on Disney Plus 😅 and I could not agree more with you about the icy landscape being a really fun setting to play around with!

Your enthusiasm is so contagious! It will be a very long time before anything is published though 😅 and I don't have anything available to read now. But thank you so much for always supporting my journey!
