Congratulations on going for your Master's Degree! I'm so sorry your going through such difficult times with family & that your hospital swapped things up on you. You have been going through a lot of changes. I'll always be around if you need to chat. You're such an integral part of this community.
Thank you so much 🧡 change is hard especially when family is sick and there isn't much you can do about it, you know? We can only be supportive and offer help. And when work throws other plans at you on top of that, life can be so overwhelming. I love our community and cannot be more happy with how we all come together in difficult times. Thank you for ALWAYS being there 🥰
I am so sorry for all of the changes and loss from the last several months. It definitely makes sense to pull back on RUclips and I love that you are prioritizing your family and job/school!
Thank you Bonnie 🥰 I absolutely love reading/writing/creating, but I'm human too. I have family, work and school to think about and care for. I wanted to be transparent about what is happening and not just drop off the internet without any conversation if that is what happens. I truly thank you for understanding!
I'm heartbroken by the tragic circumstances that happen to you in a short period of time, I hope and pray everything will sort itself out and the situation will get better, you are so extremely smart I know you will succeed no matter what direction your career path will take you❤🔥
😭 your words are so thoughtful! Thank you so so much 💕 life has its ups and downs and there are been a lot of downs lately, but there will be better days. Thank you again and your kindness has made my day brighter 🧡
Im so sorry for all the changes life has thrown at you. I hope your family stays safe and you can find a new normal with your job and masters program ❤
Thanks so much Holly 🥺🧡 it's hard to be excited about school while not so exciting family stuff is going on. But we are staying safe and taking life slower than usual.
I'm so sorry for your losses Autumn. That's a lot for one person. While working full-time and going back to school! Please take all the time you need. Best wishes Autumn.💜
Oh, Autumn, that is a lot to handle! You're so right that everything _will_ be okay, but it might take a minute to get there. I hope you'll be patient with yourself and give yourself the grace you need as you go through the next several months. Grief is a wild up and down ride. I'm so glad you have your partner and other family around you for support 💕 What a blessing to have your grandparents still here! Spend time with them, ask them questions about their lives and the family and friends they knew growing up--my grandparents are gone now and there are things I wish I'd asked when I had the chance. Congratulations on getting into the master's program! When you said it started mid-August I thought, "Oh, that's good, she'll have a while to go before it starts" and then you said it was right around the corner and 😵💫 HOW?! The summer has flown by. I hope the first semester goes smoothly for you. Sending you all the love and hugs and positive vibes!!
Meredith, thank you so much! You are so right 💕 having family and friends during these difficult times is everything. I've been giving myself a little grace too, I promise! I cannot believe August starts tomorrow. 😳
Autumn that is a lot to have to deal with. I know that sometimes it feels like when it rains, it pours but you are absolutely right that everything will be okay. It may take you some time to get your bearings and to get back to normal, or at least a new normal, but you can do it. If you have to take a break for a little bit, for your own mental health, then know that we will be right here whenever you show up! Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers and sending you lots of love. Please make sure that you are taking care of yourself in the midst of all of this. ❤
JC, your words are encouraging and I cannot thank you enough 💕 we've been doing better and, like you said, trying to find a new normal. Your kindness always turns my days around. ❤️
Congratulations on school and I'm sorry to hear about your losses. I agree that 2024 is a huge transition year and that you will come out of the other side. Come and let us know how you manage whenever you can!
Oh god, I’m so sorry Autumn. That’s so so much. Take care of yourself and know I’m sending energy your family’s way. Rooting for your success in graduate school and I hope it brings you some direction
💓 you are always so sweet, Jade. And for that, I can never thank you enough for being in my corner. I hope you know that I am here rooting for you! We can use all the good energy right now. Thank you 🥰
Keeping you in my thoughts during this season of loss. Take allllllll of the time you need! Rest, mourn, sleep, eat, and breathe. We will all be here waiting for you when you come back! :)
Thank you Rose 💕 it is bitter sweet right now. I'm excited for this master's program and the opportunities it can lead to, but my poor family has been through a lot. Ohh, is she?! I always love to hear about other med techs because though we are not many, we are mighty! Our fielding is dying unfortunately. That's a huge reason why I'm transitioning out of the laboratory. Better go now before everything becomes saturated from everyone forced to leave our field. 🙃
I hope and pray that the second half of the year is much better for you and your family! It’s so sad that your field is dying! It’s really important work! My mom loved it! She stayed home full-time with my younger brother and me, but kept her license up and went back to work Once we were in college.
I am so sorry that you have been dealing with all of this. One of my favorite phrases is, "Life is what happens when you're making other plans." I went through a management course based on " The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey many years ago. I had a major light bulb come on one day when we had to write the things we were interested in on index cards. I had over a dozen cards. Then, we were told we had to narrow it down to five cards. My assigned partner would show me a card and ask if it was in my top five. When I said no, she would tear the card in half. During that process, I learned that if you want to be really good at something and be effective at it, you must discard the lower-priority items. - It sounds like you have been going through this process and making the tough decisions necessary to be more focused and effective. Good for you! Keep up the good work, and hang in there. I have no doubt you will be successful.
Thank you for your comment, Tim. I love this example you've given me, and I think that is an awesome exercise for anyone to do at any time. It is something I think we should all think about. Even if we don't get out the index cards and shred the lesser ones, I think creating a list of all the things we are interested in (or have to do) and narrowing them down in our minds is just as valuable. Thank you again!
Aw autumn. So sorry to hear about all the challenges you’ve been dealing with this summer, but excited to hear about you going back to school! Sending you love, authortube and booktube will be here whenever you have the time/mental energy to create ❤
I'm truly, deeply sorry you've gone through so much in so little time, dear 😞💔 It's heartbreaking to hear that. Wishing you and your loved ones all the warmth and tranquility anyone gets to experience in a situation like this. Congrats on coming back to the academic field! I hope this new journey is fullfilling and brilliant to your life and career plans. Please, don't pressure yourself: the author and bookish RUclips community will always welcome and wait for you. Take as much time as needed, and focus on enriching your offline life! 😊
