I always love the excitement of a new idea. I also absolutely love the contemplation of life choices in the early morning darkness 😄 This morning, I paused your vid mid-way to go write for 30 mins and now I'm on the longest writing streak of a couple months. So, thanks! LOL.Edit: Last winter, when I was in school FT, I'd get up ~0445 and be writing, every day, at least 20 mins, before 0600. That's almost like your challenge! I was sooo good until school ended and then it got a lot looser...

He wrote the book the Saturday Night Ghost Club as well, which would be a great fall-themed book to clear your palate after you finish reading the Troop. I love the Troop but it is GRUESOME! Theme reading fascinates me, especially this time of year. I'm not a fan of thrillers/horror novels, though, so there's nothing on my spooky TBR. 😆 Edit: so, as a Canadian, yes, we have bears, but not everywhere 😆 I've never had a Grizzly encounter but black bears in the backcountry while camping/hiking, for sure. You have to take them seriously but they're not *that* scary. The last one I saw was just sitting in a berry patch next to the trail. It was a yearling, so not very old. We had to wait a few minutes with bear spray in hand, waving our arms and saying loudly that we were friends. Then we basically ran to the next campsite, looking back to make sure he didn't follow. 🙃

I will always support you girl! You gotta go with what you love doing even if it is switching projects. :) I'm in the same boat. I've been stuck on my YA romance with the enemies to lovers trope. I'm thinking of switching to cozy contemporary with a western romance instead for now, because it is something easy to work on while I'm dealing with all this school stuff and it would be something I wouldn't have to think about a lot of world building that comes with fantasy. I still want to write, I just am probably gonna take a break on this one for now too. :)

Fantasy is hard! There are so many intricate parts and so much world-building, it's so easy to be overwhelmed by it! I've tried to write fantasy multiple times and have had to take breaks from it. Absolutely nothing wrong with switching it up to something that brings you joy, especially when life gets crazy. It will always be there when you're ready to return to it! <3

And with that, I'm going to walk down to the lake with my laptop and write more of my (excessive LOL) first draft. The end is near, I see it!! 😬 As for genres, right now, I'm digging contemporary with a romantic arc. What I don't like writing? Mysteries, thrillers, high fantasy. 😆 My imagination isn't that good!

I moved into a new house in 2011 and bought a large picture frame, for multiple pics. I gave it to my dad to sell/give away last August and it never once had a photo in it but I moved it four times. 😬
