I think sleeping and eating traditional food or restaurant all over the japan in each region or korea will be a good video content too, especially hidden place with great food, it will be a good adventure.
ok 3 things.
1. idk how u do it man, (it might just be that im on my woman visitor) but if kids approached me like that i would feel so … theres actually no words to describe it. the children are so precious and happy and they decide to share that with you. how cute.
2. thank you for always showing children love and appreciation or trying to do something for them in your videos. it shows how much you care about others and not just yourself.

I was the same way with salmon eggs--only ones i'd tried were extremely fishy, like biting into cod liver oil capsules. Then I had some at a good Japanese restaurant, and it was a totally different taste. Rich, oily, reminiscent of the sea but no overwhelming fishiness. Good salmon roe is one of my favorites.
I guess I've only ever had good sea urchin. I had it at the same place as the good salmon roe. It is also a super good bite as sushi, the texture is exactly like ice cream, seafood ice cream in the best possible way, lol.

I have to look for this location in SD. Kura in LA was ok. Conveyer belt in Tokyo and Osaka was amazing when I had it compared to the states. Nonetheless, it was a great experience. We need you to do a dessert video around Tokyo.

There’s like 5 Kura-s in the San Francisco Bay Area. The quality is decent here. Unfortunately, the price here is not as affordable as Japan. So it more like special occasion visit for me. Thanks for sharing your experience , Jimmy.

You could not be more spot-on regarding Kura Kaitenzushi in the U.S. The two locations I've been to (L.A./Irvine) were absolutely horrible. Between the either bland/fishy flavor and oftentimes leathery texture of the fish to the cold, hard granules of rice they nestled them upon, it's some of the worst Japanese food I've ever had. Thankfully, your experience seemed great! Those two kids were so cute, I hope they are watching!
I was so shocked to see Kura sushi in the US being so popular! Hopefully they improved by now haha...
@@jimmykimtv I used to work for one in the Bay area (in California) during my time there they continuously looked for ways to cheap out on ingredients. I doubt they got any better unfortunately as food costs rise higher, and they try to maintain profits.
(was a restaurant operations manager in the kitchen, so I was very familiar with the ingredients used.)

i live in san diego and the kura here has mid sushi that's $3.50 per plate and two hour long wait times for a table

There is a Kura sushi place not far from where I live in Ohio, but it's like $3.40 per plate, so you're definitely paying a premium.
those fish portions seem pretty thin so I'd guess the half rice option would give you a better ratio.

Ya I remember when a Kura opened up in the bay area in nor cal. It was like $2.75 a plate which was pretty cheap by American sushi standard when every fucking restaraunt sell 2 piece for like $6-9. It has gone up over the years to like almost $4 maybe above now (moved away so haven't been there in 1-2 years). But its like compare to anywhere else you go in US where they sell that shit for like at least $6+ its good deal. Ofc just make it more depressing when I go to Japan get even better quality for like $1...
We have Kura in Dallas, Tx and it’s certainly not a $1. It’s more like $3-$4 a plate.
