JUST FOR SOME MASSIVE CLARIFICATION THAT MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED IN THE VIDEO!!!! THE PREVIOUS OWNER IS ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY, MOST OF THE WORK DONE ON THE TRUCK WAS DONE BY SOMEONE ELSE WHILE HE WAS DEPLOYED. I ALSO KNEW ABOUT ALL OF THESE THINGS THAT NEEDED TO BE CORRECTED AND BOUGHT THE TRUCK KNOWING IT WAS MORE OF A PROJECT THAT HE DID NOT HAVE THE TIME TO FINISH HIMSELF CORRECTLY. I CAN FULLY UNDERSTAND THE LACK OF TIME NEEDED TO FINISH THE TRUCK WITH THE SITUATION AND DO NOT LOOK NEGATIVELY ON HIM OR HIS BUSINESS WHATSOEVER. THANKS GUYS
You said it was a military service members truck I wish this truck could be built and given to him as a gift for there service God bless all service members thanks for everything you do for us
This would be a great pull truck Greg and I can’t name a single pulling truck/tractor RUclipsr I honestly think it would really sky rocket your views anyways love the content keep up the good work
**Edited** The blocks on the back are on backwards. Whomever worked on this truck didn't know they where doing. Pretty truck though. GA to the rescue!!
Even if he lowers the lift and goes with smaller tires- Super singles really set it apart from everything else he has on black forces. Goes well with the bright red paint.
Been a long time fan Greg, but this is a huge project lol. Take it one step at a time and try not to get overwhelmed. Good luck, looking forward to the upcoming vids
Greg you need 4 40ft sea cans with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th gen labeled on them to keep all your collected parts organized. And with 4 sea cans you could make a sick sea can shop
I'm not running any sway bars on my 04.5. 35" tires on stock dually wheels but the suspension is stock. Bed is always full of tools so it sits level front and back.
This is going to be a giveaway truck, mark my words. I also don’t understand how you’d paint a truck a custom red then do a lime green powder coat, and I love green, but this combo is rough.
This is one of those trucks that has a lot of good bones and a lot of potential to make it something better than what it currently is. Whatever direction you end up going, it should be in a better place when it's done.
I currently run a full Carli kit on my Ford Super Duty. It has 37" tires on military beadlock super single wheels. I do not run sway bars front or rear and it drives fine. I plan to add a rear one at some point but isn't an issue even pulling my 30" gooseneck trailer. Getting a Cummins here soon. I have the motor but need to build it before it goes into the Ford.
Not surprised this thing came from NC. A lot of the trucks here are just like this one, look decent from a distance but are riddled with errors up close
Awesome, truck needs some work. Just takes time, patience and money. Whatever you decide to do with it, it'll be kickass. And I want to let you know I appreciate you goin step by step on what things to look for and to check before starting any build and saying how you're goin to fix them. You take time out of your day to show everyone on here everything. Very much appreciated brother 👍
It looks like the previous owner had good intentions with this truck but just got overwhelmed with finishing his vision. It can be especially hard when on a tight budget and trying to do new things for the first time. But we know Greg A is gonna get it done up right and returned to it's former glory, can't wait to see it make it's first test drive.
I feel you on the pack rat thing...Just had to buy a GM LS ecm because a few months ago I tossed the one I had kept for a few years as a spare, finally decided, I will never need that...
I really like the idea of taking it back to something more like the 08. I love the 08 and how clean it is. With how detailed you are Greg I'm betting this will turn into a very clean truck and maybe one day I will be able to have something as nice and fun as one of your trucks. Thanks for the videos and keep them coming.
New add-a-leaf in rear, hardwood floor, brake lines. Fix up the truck but keep it in the same general style. You already only have street builds keep this one lifted. You don’t have to go bang on it just make it look good
Is anybody else overwhelmed with the amount of vehicle projects that don't get finished? I applaud you on wanting to provide very diverse information on all the generations, But I will see an episode that I really want to follow the progress on and the next video about it is 3 months later, 4 trucks and a semi later, and I don't remember the content or have lost interest and have to go back to remember the previous content. Like this truck. This would be an awesome project basically showing how to completely restore a vehicle from suspension to wiring to air condition to Engine…. You could probably get a dozen or more episodes out of this truck And when it is complete market off the list and move to the next one.
So it seems like Greg_A doesn’t hate any part on the truck. He just doesn’t like the COMBINATION of parts. He mentioned nonstop that he wasn’t throwing shade at anyone. But he forgot to mention that it’s just the combination of parts.
Been looking to buy a clean 3rd gen 2500, TuRbO Diesel of course and this video helps a lot. All of them up north are rust buckets tho and they ain’t cheap!
I’ve got most of the factory battery cables might need some terminals but I also build big 3 well I call them big 5 upgraded cable kits cause I add multiple grounds with welding lead cables. I’ve got a bunch of things from my 06’ 5.9er that is all just sitting.
Me and my dad do upholstery up probably an hour and a half from you and can take care of the seats and anything else you would need done. I dm'd you on Instagram, my Instagram name is eric_couch
Done right diesel in southern Indiana has a lot of the wiring and other odds and ends you may need for that rig they buy wrecked trucks and part them out, look them up and make them more famous they are a good group of guys
I looked up the Instagram that’s on the truck. They made it out to be better than what it was. Plus one of the pics they showed underneath the track bar wasn’t even on, so no wonder it’s not attached
Greg I’ve been watching you for years and I have never said it once but now I have too, chill out with your spending trucks, parts, tools, Christ I’m sweating just thinking about how much you’ve spent but in the end if you can afford it good for you
Such a great looking truck. Shame it’s so half assed. I think a thuren 6” lift & 38s would be perfect for this truck. Turn it into an off-roader’s dream machine.
Maybe you could do a Cummins rebuild series. Do episodes on how to rebuild a Cummins engine. Not to many out there and I’m sure people would want to see that to learn it themselves
Greg I know how that feels I’m active duty military and my truck needs some work done just waiting a few more mouths and then I’ll be able to work on her and make her sign again and by the way I’ve been watching your videos since the beginning and love them
Make it a Cheery Red version of the 08!!! Black wheels, decent lift, black lights, and badass turbo(s) with the GregA touch and you have yourself a daily head turner!!!
Man. My LBZ is rotting and I’ve been wanting a 6.7. I haul often too and my bed has more holes the more I haul. Great project truck and your standards seem to be as picky as mine when it comes to something that’s worth it.
Previous owner is active military, do the build for him. You could do something for good buddy Mark. Whatever happens I'm sure it will be badass! Wrench on!
I am sure that the active Military Member came back and saw this and said...Oh Hell No! Not what I wanted. But it looks like a project for Greg. Good Luck Amigo!
Would love to see you build a overly clean street truck out of this pile, something like your buddies battleship grey one and I definitely vote to take the monster lift off as well.
I honestly can't stand red vehicles but this color is so beautiful I could keep it and the lift. Not so much the wheel's as I like TSL super Swampers and beadlocks. But it's a nice unit either way, keep it up Greg A & family.
Awesome awesome video Greg A, it’s a labor of love this truck for sure. I love the Cummins logos in the seats lol that’s bad ass. Should fix it for Ali, so she could have one.
Can we finish a project and see some cool videos with it? Love the truck but man I cant remember the last time you were at a pull, the strip or just messing around on backroads with a completed truck. Also I have those same tails and I really like them lol
Greg, do you know what type of wheels are on this? I have been looking for wheels just like that for my 99 Black Cummins. I am sure this build will be awesome.
They are super singles off of a road tractor. They require 8 lug to 10 lug adapters. And they start out as 22.5"s they need to be machined down to 22"s to run the light truck tires like those.
Looks like someone took advantage of a military service member. And possibly charge him for stuff they didn't even do. You have storage unit. Time for shelves and pegs for wires. Yards normally just cut and drop stuff. I told a friend of mine might help keep some these wires. Like starter wires cables. Factory 130 and used or after market price 35 to 60 area price range.
I'd love to build one like that but maybe use a 2nd gen Cummins Long Bed frame and 12V swap with an Nv5600 or maybe just swap a 3rd gen cab onto a 2nd gen frame and stretch the rear of the frame to it an 8ft bed but this will definitely be a sick Cummins build, you should swap a G56 into this beast that'd really make it stand out imo but I'm just a guy who loves a manual Cummins pickup
I'm feeling like I might be the only one here that thinks this but whatever, I like that truck with a lift. Just makes it look so much more aggressive! Switch out the wheels with some black deep dish nice wheels, proper suspension, and keep the hood stack just because. Would be sick with a black stack, wheels, windows, bed-liner and then the candy red can truly pop!
I smell a give away and I dig it👍 I'd definitely buy some merch in hopes to win it. Also will learn a lot too with all those repairs. God bless man, love the channel🤘
JUST FOR SOME MASSIVE CLARIFICATION THAT MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED IN THE VIDEO!!!!

#BONERDICKEN
Yooo greg taylor ray has a parts truck from his fummins build not sure if there is any thing you would need from it but its there
You said it was a military service members truck I wish this truck could be built and given to him as a gift for there service God bless all service members thanks for everything you do for us
Hi replies menaisdyllan
Keep the lift change the wheels and tires.
There's the wheels and lift for the old green truck
that my friend, is a great idea...
& a lot of other parts & etc
Yes swap suspension with both trucks.
YESSSS
Too bad the wheels are gonna already
This would be a great pull truck Greg and I can’t name a single pulling truck/tractor RUclipsr I honestly think it would really sky rocket your views anyways love the content keep up the good work
Taylor ray has a parts truck from his fummons swap
Ok I wasn't the only one thinking this lol
I’m gunna say it looks like a tweaker got ahold of that truck
I seriously don’t understand how Greg’s channel isn’t at 1 million subscribers
"Cinnamon" needs to be a pull truck!!! Or dirt drags truck!!
**Edited**
The blocks on the back are on backwards. Whomever worked on this truck didn't know they where doing. Pretty truck though. GA to the rescue!!
Rear Shocks are upside down too.
Those super singles are so rare to find. Man I’d keep them on there and keep the lift. It’s definitely a neck breaker for sure man. Cheers
Even if he lowers the lift and goes with smaller tires- Super singles really set it apart from everything else he has on black forces. Goes well with the bright red paint.
Connor Murphy I absolutely agree with you. I have suchhhhhh a soft spot for those wheels. You just don’t see them at all anymore ever
Conner Powell exactly! I like your name btw my dude lmao
Someone did a half ass job putting this thing together.
Keep the costs down leave it lifted and correct all the issues I love the look as is.
I think Greg needs a WD-40 sponsorship in that into....
Sounds to me like he needs to get some greaseable pins/bolts for the poor thing.
Someone say pull truck?
Been a long time fan Greg, but this is a huge project lol. Take it one step at a time and try not to get overwhelmed. Good luck, looking forward to the upcoming vids

I'm not running any sway bars on my 04.5. 35" tires on stock dually wheels but the suspension is stock. Bed is always full of tools so it sits level front and back.
Any lift over 6" usually requires cutting old suspension mounts off for long arm clearance
This is going to be a giveaway truck, mark my words. I also don’t understand how you’d paint a truck a custom red then do a lime green powder coat, and I love green, but this combo is rough.
Color blind? :)
Lol powdercoat? You mean rattle can
Hes not doing giveaway trucks...

Some would say diamond in the ruff, I'm going to go with turd in a shiny wrapper
It looks like the previous owner had good intentions with this truck but just got overwhelmed with finishing his vision. It can be especially hard when on a tight budget and trying to do new things for the first time. I feel you on the pack rat thing...Just had to buy a GM LS ecm because a few months ago I tossed the one I had kept for a few years as a spare, finally decided, I will never need that...
I’m diggin the vibe of not necessarily doing performance mods it’s more fixing things and bringing the truck back to being a functional truck
I really like the idea of taking it back to something more like the 08. I love the 08 and how clean it is. With how detailed you are Greg I'm betting this will turn into a very clean truck and maybe one day I will be able to have something as nice and fun as one of your trucks. HOLY HACK A TRUCK,, WHO EVER WORKED ON THAT TRUCK WAS SURELY AN AMATEUR, WOW GREG, WELL GOOD PROJECT! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!
Coming in December 2030 we go for a shakedown run in the big red turd 🤣❤️👍👍
😂😂😂😂😂
This isn’t Bruce Wilson lol
New add-a-leaf in rear, hardwood floor, brake lines. Fix up the truck but keep it in the same general style. You already only have street builds keep this one lifted. You don’t have to go bang on it just make it look good

Love the truck Greg, can't wait to see its journey back to life and the end product. Looking forward to it!
Been looking to buy a clean 3rd gen 2500, TuRbO Diesel of course and this video helps a lot. All of them up north are rust buckets tho and they ain’t cheap!
Do I hear a wrench workz giveaway coming soon? Guess I’ll be buying more merch🤷🏻♂️ Keep up the great videos man
As soon as Greg took that truck off the trailer that black cloud has been creepin up on his right side! Lol!
Put a 6in lift same wheels and that would be practical but lifted at the same time
I really love that color it looks like they put a silver base coat cause the paint pops and has that candy shine it looks real good
I’ve got most of the factory battery cables might need some terminals but I also build big 3 well I call them big 5 upgraded cable kits cause I add multiple grounds with welding lead cables. I’ve got a bunch of things from my 06’ 5.9er that is all just sitting.
Anyone else instantly recognize the truck and the guy that use you own it 😂
Damn Kevin’s truck made it to you that’s crazy! I remember when that truck was low and fast! Now it’s big and tall
I was looking at this truck on Facebook Marketplace, then it got sold. Cool to see this.
I really like the color of the powder coating under the hood. I'm color blind, so can you tell me what color that is?
Lime green or neon green. Looks horrible.
@@lindley345 thank you
@@camojay79 no problem man.

Make it a Cheery Red version of the 08!!! Black wheels, decent lift, black lights, and badass turbo(s) with the GregA touch and you have yourself a daily head turner!!!
Keep the wheels and tires man I love them and they look sooo good!!!
What’s with the silver pull knob on the firewall behind the turbo?
Man. My LBZ is rotting and I’ve been wanting a 6.7. I haul often too and my bed has more holes the more I haul. Great project truck and your standards seem to be as picky as mine when it comes to something that’s worth it.
Pro tip on the holes- put a tiny piece of foil tape over the holes before you have a spray in. You'll never see it when it's done.
Pull truck please! Nobody on RUclips has done a pull truck build from beginning to end.
Incase you didnt know greg, that rear axle is a 10.5 aam not a 11.5 aam as it should have been give. the year, and being a diesel.
Keep lift and make it a “go-rig” type truck or outlander. I’d like to see a build like that from you and you prospective.
No way is this a jab at anyone haha you are the Jon doc of diesel good stuff man just started fallowing you
Previous owner is active military, do the build for him. You could do something for good buddy Mark. Whatever happens I'm sure it will be badass! Wrench on!
I just wanted to mention the front and driveline aluminum block is a death trap we had one come apart on us it’s worth landing in the dryer online
Seen that truck on Everythang_diesels channel around 5 months ago. Recognized it pretty quick, sharp looking truck
Love the videos, curios though what do ya do as a day job? Or if you just do RUclips what did you do before you did RUclips?
I am sure that the active Military Member came back and saw this and said...Oh Hell No! Not what I wanted. But it looks like a project for Greg. Good Luck Amigo!
does lack of a sway bar cause death wobble in these cummins?
Make it a pull truck
did you find that on craigslist i saw a truck exactly like that lmao it might have been marketplace it was partially finished
That truck will be amazing when greg gets it done. It for sure got saved by the rite guy. Greg gots all the money lol
Only real bummer I see is that it has the smaller rear end. You plan to put a 11.5 in it or just gonna send it?
What steering kit is that? Looks good and strong. Ive been looking for something to do for my 01 as far as steering goes.
www.synergymfg.com/synergy-dodge-truck-heavy-duty-steering-kit.html
Definitely would love to see a pull truck!
Soooooo, pulling truck confirmed?... 😂😂 excited for the build... NOW GET BACK ON THE PETERBILT! 😅
Where did you buy this truck? Vermont? I recognize it.
Awesome awesome video Greg A, it’s a labor of love this truck for sure. I love the Cummins logos in the seats lol that’s bad ass. Should fix it for Ali, so she could have one.
Go to a cowl hood, and wrap hood/roof black carbon fiber, put a spray in bedliner in.
Can we finish a project and see some cool videos with it? Love the truck but man I cant remember the last time you were at a pull, the strip or just messing around on backroads with a completed truck. Also I have those same tails and I really like them lol

I was thinking the same thing when you said you thru a lot of the stuff from the other red 03 away 💆🏽♂️
Congratulations on your 200k !!!
Thuren alien arm comeback ... at least one dirt truck ... done the Greg way but I’m still watching til the end
Wow you know its a mess when Greg is going beck to stock. But looking at it, yep it is a surprise that truck didn't kill anyone.
I don't think you said but based on the steering wheel and 5 dash vents it is a 2003 with an 06+ front end.
Greg A is gonna totally start giving away trucks too!!! I’m gonna put my money on that one!!
Greg A dad bod delete, is that the dually or the trailer that's squeaking?
How was this truck in a condition to be given away?
I'd love to build one like that but maybe use a 2nd gen Cummins Long Bed frame and 12V swap with an Nv5600 or maybe just swap a 3rd gen cab onto a 2nd gen frame and stretch the rear of the frame to it an 8ft bed but this will definitely be a sick Cummins build, you should swap a G56 into this beast that'd really make it stand out imo but I'm just a guy who loves a manual Cummins pickup
so when will we find out what's the plan for this truck ???????👍👍👍👍
Driving riding it soon or fixer it so guy's drag truck?
I wish I had enough to make you a good offer on the wheels and tires lol I need wheels for my old 2nd gen bad I’m rocking some old bullet hole wheels
Did a shop build this truck!?
The rear window sticker pretty much sums up your latest purchase...
Bought a 07 3500 for 10k needed new turbo and head gasket sold for 24k. Good eye on the buyer beware incidentals
Good looking yard stripes 😎
I'm feeling like I might be the only one here that thinks this but whatever, I like that truck with a lift. Just makes it look so much more aggressive! Switch out the wheels with some black deep dish nice wheels, proper suspension, and keep the hood stack just because. Would be sick with a black stack, wheels, windows, bed-liner and then the candy red can truly pop!
I smell a give away and I dig it👍 I'd definitely buy some merch in hopes to win it. Also will learn a lot too with all those repairs. God bless man, love the channel🤘
I see the potential, think it would look good without the lift an wheels, srt hood and factory grill paint matched.
