- I comment on various aspects of Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, again in the popular "Everything wrong with" format.

Some corrections:
- 0:30 Auto difficulty actually increases difficulty after a few wins. Credits to MrMariosonicman.
- 5:58 There is an option to turn off saving replays. I don't know why I didn't see it. Credits to Banjo Boi.
- 33:22 Tiny Puyo debuted in Puyo Puyo 7 as part of the Transformation mode, not in Puyo Puyo Tetris. Credits to Magolor.
- 47:33 We do have Klug and Feli, the relationship between whom is pretty close to a rivalry. Credits to Magolor.
Where is the option to disable saving replays
Even worse for the disabling auto replays, it's under the option labelled "auto save", which from the wording makes it sound like disabling/enabling automatically saving progress, is actually the option for disabling/enabling automatically saving REPLAYS. It's dumb that it wasn't named anything else.

Other things I want to point out:
- 3:54 According to Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary, curry doesn't exist in Amitie's world. It's not that far-fetched that cake doesn't exist in Tee's world.
- In Act 2 when we meet Jay and Elle, Arle calls them "borderline psychopaths." This is funny (win), but also undermines the fact they torture Ai for existing (sin). In the same level, Tee also explains the twin power the 2 share, long before the level you show it in at 20:22.
- 17:25 Lemres draws magic power from eating sugar, which is why he isn't obese. In fact, he becames extremely weak when he has a lack of sugar. That's why he has so much sweets, and he simply likes to share his food with everyone. (explanation)
- 25:43 Klug says this, but Feli and Lemres don't actually live in Primp Town. They live in a NEIGHBORING town. Feli and Lemres also don't attend Primp Magic School. Lemres is simply friends with Ms. Accord and Feli follows him because of her crush on him. (sin)
- 26:51 Schezo has done this before, just not in a localized game. (note)
- 41:54 Technically, everyone in this game except Rulue channels magic, and is thus a witch/mage. Also, in her home world, witches like Witch don't receive a name until they pass some kind of threshold or growth criteria in their magic skills. It's also worth noting she has a grandmother named Wish who is also a witch. (explanation)
- 43:21 So much for "trying to live an honest life." (sin)
- When Witch introduced Marle to Draco, she tells her that Draco is in her life and there's nothing she can do about it. That deserves a win for comedy. (win)
- 49:27 Raffina was originally written in to replace Rulue, like Amitie to replace Arle, since Puyo Puto Fever introduced a very massive shift in the series. Also, Rulue doesn't have any magic at all, while Raffina DOES have magic, but it's very weak and she uses her magic yellow pouch to convert her physical strength into magic power. (explanation)
- When Marle reveals her relationship with Squares, she refers to him as her younger brother when they have more of a "bratty mama's boy and his doormat mom who later leads him down the right path" relationship. (sin)
- Ally's appearance seems very forced. She doesn't even appear in the final faceoff, not even summoned by Marle when she is more than capable of doing it. (sin)
- When Marle tells Squares that an unchanging world doesn't exist, her angry sprite shows her hair straightened out like in her corrputed form. I'd say it's a win because the creativeness of using her corrupted form for a short moment where she isn't herself, overtaken by darkness or anger, is very appealing. (win)
-The addition of Legamünt and Rozatte is nice as more Quest characters receive recognition (2 wins, one from each), but like Ally's story arc, seems forced. (2 sins, one from each)
Next time in the PPT series: Puyo Puyo Tetris 3... Bombarded by Bombliss and Dominoes, Triminoes, and Pentominoes...
Some things of note,
Auto difficulty isnt an easy mode, it actually does ramp up in difficulty when you win battles, the cpu gets skill levels of chapter 6 battles as soon as chapter 3 vs rulue.
Seems like this game took a more direct translation from japanese compared to the first game where it seemed like they had more unique lines of diolauge, (looking at you Schezo)
Lidelle is the only side character to appear in story mode. While nice to be seen, the other ppt1 side characters are just absent in terms of story and it makes me question why have her there at all, especially when she wasnt even a playable character before the dlc.
My guess is they originally wanted Lidelle playable but then made Ally the playable one because they felt the need to "make up" for not translating the 3d game. Could also explain why her appearance in the story feels so forced.
The reason why raffina and rulue have a namy starting with r is rule from the puyo lore, every dimension need 3 protagonists that the name starts with a,r, and s.
Original: arle, rulue and schezo
Primp: amitie, raffina and sig
Suzuran: ando ringo, ris and sasaki maguro
Pwurp: ally and rafisol
Thus could be very slim but maybe Sonic finished the A.R.S of ally and rafisol
52:34 As someone who holds Ally in as high a regard as I do, I feel called out. But I am a total sucker for both love-related things and cute characters in video games, so I guess I'm one to talk.
Other than that, I loved the video! Despite what you said on Twitter, this video didn't feel rushed at all.
One thing about this game that Origami King also does that bothers me is the whole thing where one character creates another, but instead of being called their parent, due to both of them being young, they're called siblings.
I swear Marle calls Squares her brother at some point. No. You made him Marle, he's your son.

after coming back and watching this after getting through spoiler territory, i got a win you missed. the ss tetra has a greenhouse now because of the apple ringo gave to tee at the end of puyo puyo tetris 1 since it wasn't in the original, so the apple actually meant something in the end.

Lemres can sidestep conversations better than I can sidestep in Smash Ultimate.

Ecolo is responsable for then and draco should already know about tiny puyo. She was playable in puyo 7 when they debuted.
Sega obtained partial rights from Crypton Future Media Inc., a company that produces and sells Vocaloid products, to use Hatsune Miku and the rest of the Piapro characters in the rhythm game series known as Project Diva. So if Sega now has partial ownership of Hatsune Miku, why not include her in the free DLC updates? They wasted such a good chance to include her because she even has her very own Puyo Puyo minigame in the spinoff game Project Mirai DX. And she is also the most popular Vocaloid of all time, amassing over 100,000 songs in 2011. For a Vocaloid fan such as myself, I am incredibly disappointed over the decision of her exclusion from this game. In fact, I'm so disappointed, I'm giving this game 39 extra sins. Why 39? Because in goroawase, which uses numbers for certain syllables in Japanese, 39 can be translated to "Miku".

I already know that from the video, but trying to make the name phonetically similar to the Japanese version doesn't really have the same effect.
Marle in Japanese (Maaru) being a distortion of the word for round/circular (Maru) is cool and all, but to us who have the English version, we just see it as the series' main character's name with an "M" on it, so I think we should change her name so it fits more with her circular theme
Name changes aren't that common in the U.S too, like how Rosalina is Rosetta in Japan, Bowser and Bowser Jr I believe are Koopa and Koopa Jr.

I believe there's also a one sided rivalry with Raffina and Amitie, and a rivalry between Klug and Raffina. I really don't know why they chose Ringo and Maguro for that scene since they actually did have a couple of rivalries not with Arle there (and even with Arle there, I'm pretty sure she has at least 5 including Schezo)
The purpose of all characters was reavealed in a japanense tweet, but ppt2 really was the first time it was revealed in a game

There is a way to enable the Core CPU, the harder version of the character on PC but I am not sure. On controller, hold down L or R Button and select the character. You will hear a sound once the character is selected and a side message saying "Max Lv. CPU Set."
