- We made this video to help you create more professional works of art. We purchased two different oil based pre stain or wood conditioner. Our goal was to figure out if it worked or not and which one was the better product. Both Varathane and Minwax products are two of the most common stain and finishing products on the market. They both can be found at big box stores. We also put the link to purchase them through Amazon down below. Our finished products can be viewed at jkwwoodworks.com. Thanks for watching.

We like to use scrap wood to reduce waste of material. It makes it more challenging since we have boards of different sizes and thicknesses. However, this gives us a great feeling knowing that we are giving pieces of wood a second life that otherwise would have been discarded. Thanks for sharing this video. I'm stuck while applying keda dye on veneer and it's always turned out dark. I will try the min max wood conditioner. Would you like to recommend any other. Please help
Thanks for watching! It depends on what you are using. Is it water or oil base? I personally prefer the varathane brand because it is easy for me to get. But both do a great job. Just make sure you the same base as the dye or stain. Let us know how it works out!
@@jkwwoodworks It's water base. Min Max oil based stain wood conditioner is available for me. Will let you know for sure. Thanks again
