Hi, thanks for all the keyboard reviews. So that Satechi SM1 is probably OEM’d (or is originally) Ausdom Airkey 84 which I just bought on Amazon. Yes, for about $50, it’s a decent keyboard, but I’ll probably get the Keychron or Nuphy 75 next time.
I highly recommend the LoFree Flow84. I own the original Nuphy 75 and it didn't feel great to type on. I made so many typos I had to look down at the keys to make sure I was pressing the right keys which I haven't done in forever. The minute I connected my LoFree it just felt intuitive to use i'm back to making few typos and I'm not having to look down at my keyboard anymore.
SM1 is better than K3 pro for me because when i connect keyboard + logi mx3 mouse + sony xm5 via Bluetooth - there are connectivity problems with sound lags, or cursor freeze. Also there is no battery info in mac os desktop widget or device info in system settings with K3 pro. Satechi works perfectly without problems, battery info is available, and battery life is better.
4:23 I can use my MX mechanical mini for Mac without a problem while charging. Or do you mean that you cannot use the cable as a wired substitute for a wireless Bluetooth or 2.4 Ghz connection? That's not exactly an issue is it? Only if your computer doesn't have a Bluetooth module or you don't have the USB Bolt receiver.
I like Satechi, I have their X1 Slim and it's great. I'm looking at this one but also like the Lofree Mist and the MX Mechanical. Probably going with Lofree
I think keychrone k3 max is much better but the backlight doesn’t go through key caps so at night you don’t see the letters, so that’s why I choose the sm1
if you only have one keyboard in your product line why not make it the best damn keyboard we've ever typed on. There's way too much competition to half ass it.
Dear, after watching your video, I bought video macgo 2 and ycc 22 cable, but the background noise is too much, I am very worried. Please reply۔ 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for this review. I've got a Nuphy Air 96 V2 on the way and am glad I'm not second guessing my choice with new offerings from Satechi.
Offering a solder only option is so 2019. Not having a hot swap version is really going to limit he sales of this keyboard I feel.
Agreed. Non-hot swappable is an absolute non starter. It's a basic feature at this point. Shame, because all of the other features look pretty good.
Saw this when I was admiring Satechi R2 media remote controller
Loved that you mentioned the Azio Cascade Slim. I use it daily and really like it. Priced the same as this one.
Yes! It's a great option at this price point and I would recommend it over the SM1

I love Satechi products.
Nuphy 75 V2 all the way - love the logi mech kb ( for some of the shortcuts ) but love the feel of my Nuphy with red switch's
This is low profile keyboard, right?
right, and the mentioned competitors too
I bought nuphy air75 v2
Looks nice.

the main cons: there is a keychron
Meh
I tried the Keychron K17 Pro, the Nuphy Air 75 and the Lofree Flow 100 keys and the Keychron was the worst of the bunch.
keychron is so mid
