    Thanks for this review. I have been looking around for a replacement for my Apple keyboard and this seems like it might fit the bill.

    I have the X1 Slim and am very satisfied with it, so will probably move to this one as well

      I think it's one of the best Mac targeted mechanical keyboards. Just give it a try and see if you like it.

    Thanks for the video. Bought a M2 mac mini a few months ago and have been using a windows keyboard with it. Have been interested in getting a mac keyboard. Didn't like the apple keyboard.

      These are nice if you like the mechanical keyboards for sure. This one is quite a bit lower profile which is nice.

    Hey Craig, what mouse do you use ?

    • @craigneidel
      @craigneidel  7 месяцев назад +1

      I use about 30 mice since I test them and don't really stick on one. I was using a Logitech basic mouse recently. I don't like a ton of additional buttons and just the two button and wheel mice.

    I have a Mac mini M2. I use the apple bluetooth keyboard (old type) and Magic Trackpad. The problem is sometimes when booting up it won't connect to the keyboard and I can't log in. I have to use a USB connected keyboard to log in. Shouldn't this keyboard allow me to plug in to log in? I know if I turn off the keyboard and trackpad before I turn the computer off they connect on reboot. To do that I have to use the 59 second wait to shut down. Click shut down and turn them both off before it actually shuts down. It would save me from keeping my cheap windows USB keyboard nearby just in case.

      The situation you laid out results from using bluetooth. You would be happier using a keyboard like the one Craig is showing here - using the 2.4Ghz dongle. It is just like having a direct wire connection. I also have a M2 Mini and I have a similar issue, but maybe less finicky than you describe. I just have to wait until my bluetooth Keychron keyboard indicates its BT connection has been made. The "1" key flashes.
      Finally, in addition the keyboard Craig showcases here, look at the new Keychron K Max and V Max series keyboards. The Max line has the dongle connection in addition to the wired and bluetooth connections. I wish I had waited for the Max version of my K2 Pro.

      @craigneidel  8 месяцев назад +1

      This one I think should fix the issue as I'm not seeing this issue when I use bluetooth with this keyboard. I wasn't using the dongle but instead I was using bluetooth on this.

      @craigneidel  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, for a Win PC I'm not sure if there are better ones but for a Mac these are great because they are very close to the Mac's original keyboard but mechanical. Thanks for watching the video.

    Satechi is not even close to the best mechanical keyboard for Mac. Try a Nuphy Air75, Lofree Flow, or Azio Cascade Slim 75. All blow the Satechi out of the water in terms of build quality, typing sound/feel, and even features.

    • @craigneidel

      Ok, funny. How much are those?

    • @jtd3421
      @jtd3421 8 месяцев назад

      @@craigneidel Azio is $100 I think. Nuphy about $140, and Lofree $170.

    • @craigneidel
      @craigneidel  7 месяцев назад +3

      Ok, thanks. For $99 or less (sometimes on sale for $80) I do think the Satechi is a solid choice. It doesn't mean that the others are not good though but from the ones I tested so far this has worked the best for me.

      @jtd3421 speaks the truth. The Keychron K3 Pro is also superior, and for about the same price.

      The gamer losers have arrived. "But actually this other product I saw in another video and have also never used is better. also did you know a tesla roaster is the fastest car in the world!" This is your reminder that mechanical keyboards are inferior keyboards and in reality nothing more than gaming peripherals. If you're an adult or otherwise not an oxygen waster, then chances are you will want nothing to do with gamers or gaming.

    No offense but this video was useless. Yes this product exists. Here is what it looks like. Here is what the clicky clicky sounds like. Absolutely nothing useful for a nearly 10 minute video. Hows the latency and stability of the wireless connections? Whats the real world battery life? What kind of force and travel distance is required to trigger the keys? These are things that people might like to know before buying.

    • @craigneidel

      If you watch my channel I do more product showcases and people like that. I think you are the first to say that but oh well. They can't all be winners and that is fine.
