Great review! I have MX Mechanical Mini in Linear. I’ve had some keyboards in the past a good 20 or more. But, I like this keyboard the best so far. Slim profile is definitely easier on my wrists. And, the software - every other software is a joke compared to this. I have a PC and iPad connected by Bolt and Bluetooth. I’ve never had a keyboard which switches between devices this fast. I LOVE it!
Thank you! Logi definitely nails the ease of use, fast switching, and customizability via the software. I kinda like the feel of some other wireless low profile mech keyboards better, but nothing beats the MX Mech for workflow, IMO
definitely underrated video, really liked the review, your thoughts and how you presented them. Also, as non native english speaker, this was easy to listen to.
I don't want to make any grandiose claims--I'm not a doctor. I do find a good mech to be more comfortable to type on than a membrane but I'd definitely recommend trying one out if you have the ability to
Small addition about the switches, keychron has hotswap options with basic, I believe it's 3 pin? compatibility, so loads of more switches to choose from, if you go that route. Apart from that, thanks for the video, nice comparison :)
When you use a kvm switch to switch between computers the unifying receiver or the bolt receiver is the best option for a wireless setup. With a single press of a button on the kvm you can move all your devices from one computer to the next. This is also handy if you are using multiple laptops at the desk (husband/wife sharing the desk) you just plug one cable and the keyboard is there. Bluetooth connection in my specific scenario is useless.
Recently I bought a second-hand Keychron K2 V2 for 30 EUR and I must tell that typing experience is great, but I had to spend several days to get used to it. First two or three days I continuously mistyped, mainly because of a right buttons like Page Up, Page Down, etc. I would prefer that they removed these buttons completely. I wanna have Del key in the right upper corner. I'm using it wired so for now I can't tell anything about BT reliability.
The light indicator for the capital/small letters (instead of the usual led light on the upper right corner) is tragically just a small flash of the word caps on the actual key making it almost impossible to distinguish if it is for small or capital letters. Second, the letter keys seem awkwardly to the left and especially trying to hit the back key you end up hitting other keys on the right side. These are two major flows that make this keyboard not suitable for productivity
I also have a fancy Keychron TKL and the MX Mini. I got the Mini for portability and public quiet. I really like the performance and typing feel of the Mini--the backlight functionality is neat.
I've got the MX Mechanical and my only issue with it is the stupidly restrictive backlight so I bought a keychron hoping for a similar typing feel but with a persistent backlight. Hated it and returned it within 30 minutes. Still using the MX.
I sold my Keychron K3 D1 V2 and waiting for recently ordered MX Mechanical. I hated switching between PC & Mac, really long reconnections and small battery life, also sometimes Keychron even couldn't connect to my PC so I had to use cable or delete from Bluetooth and pair again. Also no charge indicator and difficulties with keys reassignment, for example when I connected to my PC and tried to make the screenshot without switching the layout it for no reason opened Blender =_=. Overall with Mac it is a great keyboard, but if you want to use with more than one device you should consider another product.
@@fernandoyasumoto8785 My MX Mechanical arrived 3 days ago, and from the start I got so much better experience with connecting to different devices and overall feeling of the product. I’m very satisfied
haha, at some point I thoutht you were wearing the orange hat for keychron, while no hat for logi. The orange hat is just like the ESC key on the keychron. Maybe next time you can try that
ok! the MX from Logitech is for hybrid users, who use mac and windows on a same desk so you can bundle it up with the MX mouse and move the control from one PC to another seamlessly with Logitech's software. On the other hand, Keychron keyboards look more stunning and feel more premium than the MX, it is also good for minimal set-up desks.
Hmm... I have the asus falchion keyboard, and I'm looking for one that is better suited for graphic design and 3D editing. I like this review since I plan to switch, and this just gave me options. I just still don't know what to get lol 😂
Wow, I love the way the talking head shot looks. Composition, lighting, the color, all so good!
Thanks, Mark!
Thanks for the review. You have a verry calming and pleasant voice for these kind of videos. Keep up the work
Thank you! I'll try
thanks phillip, enjoyed your calm appraisal! keep up the great work

@@PhillipRPeckNot to mention you only need 1 receiver for all your mice and keyboards, and they even let you go into the bios of your pc.

Much appreciated!
Nice comparison thanks. Just wondering, do you find the whole mechanical experience to be more "healthy" overall. Ergonomically and all that.

@@PhillipRPeck Fair enough, yes, hearing both POVs... thanks for the reply!
Sadly, Keychron keyboards does not have USB receiver support, thats the selling point for me. And offers with ISO-DE are also limited.

Thanks for the info!
A very big omission on the wireless Logitech keyboard/mice is the lack of wired mode.

I haven't tried a KVM, but I appreciate the info. It would make switching between devices just that much faster
Great view, thanks for this!

Lol. Yeah, the backlight is annoying but, overall, it's a nice keyboard
thanks for the review

Way more thoughtful and considered than I've ever been in planning and shooting a video 🤔
Like your stuff
Keychron has qmm/via. It's fully customizable in every way.
I'm pretty sure that the version that I have in this video did not have QMK/VIA support. But it seems like their newest versions do have it

Logitech works on linux?
it have some hicups but it works
what do u mean disconnects... that is the #1 reason not to get keychrone 🤨
Wow, terrible design choice to not allow wired use on the MX - dealbreaker for me, thanks
So disappointed in keychron. Bluetooth just died one week later. Lovely but won't buy again 😢
That stinks
