Jordy, I bought one when it came out. Wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. I have a bunch of dremel tools, but this is a fantastic tool for details. It has rescued some of my junk carvings from the eternal fire.
Its just way to weak 4 me
You've already been my new go to channel of all time. No Shit!!
Jordy, thank you for the quick unboxing 😊learning a lot for you . Thank you
My Dremel 4000 stopped working, flipped brushes and cleaned commutator with a pencil eraser. Good as new and congrats on the win. always looking for new vids.
oh and all you watchers out there, don't forget to hit the like button, this channel deserves every one of them, this channel is the reason I started carving! Thanks again JJ!
Hay Hay now. Congratulations Jordy!
Ty
Congratulations on your win!,! Thanks for your video
Thanks for making these videos there helping me I'm a biginer I'm always whatching your videos..
Omg... you mauled that box 😂 Thanks for the video, I was lucky enough to pick one up on clearance for $20
Thank you! The live demo really helped.
Make it into a jackdanels air plant thing or a jack Danlies change holder. It looks like a wine or liqueur barrel
Umm if you pull those brushes out make sure u put them back in the same exact position as they where so they keep wearing the same and it don't go against it.
Yeah the Stylo seems more like a Dremel engraver which works a bit different to a rotary tool I think? The rotary ones can run away sideways whereas the engraver has a different action I think? I could be wrong though? Cheers man.
Nope, this one spins just like a rotary
...got one today...you're review very helpful...
Just got this for 20. Never used one now trying to see what it does
Omg I got mine last week for 37
The “bogging” out is a feature I think because the motor isn’t as strong it shuts off when you push to hard
Ya because its junk
It's not set at a good speed for that and it will bog down when using too much pressure. It's best for detailed work, softer wood and engraving
thanks for the video,i have the doubt if the stylo can be used with the chuck.
I do t like the stlyo is weak
Can you use this for wood carving with soft wood like animals and things that are small?? I'm a first timer here I'm still learning.
Buy urself a cheaper style dremel, I would not use this for carving
Yes it would
Thanks for this I have been thinking about getting one!!
congrats Jordy , keep on carving.
Great info. Carve a wood spirit hood ornament for your Toyota lol . Thanks for the vid .
Haha
it did well on the small hair details so yeah theres a place for it, nice vid ;)
Old school glass Mason jar! I'm sure you've already done it since I'm a year late...
Just a guess , in my opinion you’re rarely going to use that tool on wood
Agreed
This dremel is suppose to be used the same as the other ones, but easier to handle, and the motor is suppose to stay cooler
Not much power
Yea, I definitely agree with you on that, I bought one to try it out, works good with rocks and glass but as far as wood, pretty much the small detail you mentioned. Lol
I have one, nice tool. One thing I do not like is that the lock button is exactly opposite the power button, so I keep accidentally grabbing the power button while using the lock button. So I’m trying to add a new bit and my fingers push the power button by accident, causing it to spin. I do not understand why did they put the buttons on opposite sides where the fingers inadvertently push the opposite button?
Winner winner chicken dinner! Lol. Good for you JJ man. ;)
Jordy, I have a question for you brother, do you ever do female wood spirits? I haven't seen anyone do that yet
I kinda have but ya they are super hard to do
Hey Jordy , I used one of those chucks in my Wen and it kept getting tighter every time i used it until it would not come off. I had to take two pairs of channel locks to get it out , I don't use it any more.
Ahaha
Ya it's just on my stylo
....This is actually my first dremel tool and I could not for the life of me figure out how to get the damn accessory in...imagine my surprise when I see you take the damn piece off XD
Lol
What's your opinion on flap Sanders?
I'm digging that Jacobson chuck; gotta get my mitts on one of those guys. 👍✌✌👍
I make my own Sanders (my own kinda flap
You can make nice sculpture of small bear or owl, or head of eagle. Can provide you with extra images fished from internet in case you have temporary crisis of genre.
I dont understand
@@CarvingFusion Which part? I gave you advice what to make from that peace of whatever you showed and offered extra images. Sorry I didn't make myself clear enough. Thanks for video.
Hi Jordy. I have Dremel 3000 and it's great for almost anything. But I need a small rotary tool such as Dremel stylo for glass and stone engraving. What did you thing about Stylo for glass and stone work. Did he fit for the job ? Or maybe marathon Micromotor. You have both rotary tools, what's your honest opinion for these two machines. For wood carving Dremel 3000 works just fine.
100% the micro motor 100% the stylo thumbs down for me
@@CarvingFusion Thanks so much. I saw one of your videos with stone engraving but that wasn't a diamond burr maybe one agresive burr from Kutzall. Sorry for the stupid question, but I try to engrave just from 2 months and I know nothing. And so far my carvings are disaster. Did I can use different burrs for stone carving except diamond ones ?
Question: is the dremel 3000 better than the 4000? As in can the 3000 be just as good as the 4000 or is it best if I get the 4000. I'm thinking of getting a new rotary and I want sure if the 3000 was worth it due to it being cheaper than the 4000. Thanks! Love the videos!!
Hmmmm all I can say is I like my 3000! Not really to sure how to compare them!
@@CarvingFusion well that works for me!
@@CarvingFusion thanks !
Just a wannabe here. Thank you for great advice and instructions! I have a 3000 is all. I’m wanting your advice on first accessories and setup please. I’ll be working outdoors.
Do u think it is strong enough to engrave aluminum, stainless steel or even jewelry?
I would not suggest it
@@CarvingFusion sounds good. Thank u.
I have learned a lot from ya
Talks about how the weight of the 3 jaw chuck and large bits are bad for the bearings. Then proceeds to do the opposite of what he just suggested. Your gonna burn that thing up fast. I can hear the thing is unbalanced by that irritating buzzy whine it's putting out. Bye bye bearings.
While the collets are less convenient, they offer less runout and tool vibration.
Awesome stuff! learning so much from you Jordy, I have a question.. that collet chuck, does it adjust to 1/4 inch shaft?
No sorry not that big
@@CarvingFusion Ok cool, thanks again Jordy, Keep the videos coming. I love your work. can you make a video on whiskers on beard and mustache if you have not already?
@@franksadventures4you thank u, yes there should be a video in my playlist
So, how's that tool been holding up?
I never use it lol
@@CarvingFusion would you like to get rid of it?
Thanks
nice win bud!!
Do you think it's possible to do some bulk removal with the Dremel Stylo? Would it work with Kutzall Flame Burrs (extreme or original), or some of the more aggressive aluminium cutter burrs? Perhaps on medium/soft wood. It would take more time, but can it do it?
Nope stylo Harley even carves
where's the link for dremel makers studio?..
