My grandmother taught my mom that you should always have "leaving" money when you're married, in case he either beats you or cheats in you. Always have an exist strategy. I believe the slap was deserved for the sidechick since she knew and even spent time around Bernadette and the kids due to working with the husband. So she purposely was destroying a family. The slap was realistic especially since Bernandine seemingly knew the woman. If it was some random woman, probably not.

The side chick is Kelly Preston (RIP), who was a known actress in her own right, and starred in a lot of movies, particularly in the 80's and 90's, into recent years. Later on, she was more known as Mrs. John Travolta, but she had a lengthy career of her own.

I think that slap was well deserved. You knowingly got with, came in between a marriage. She knew who Bernie was not like it was a mystery on who helped start the company! It was like a perfect opportunity, he wasn’t gonna have Bernie locked up. At least I hoped not!

This is the 1st video I watched from your channel and I loved it. Definitely subscribing. John telling her to sell the house was to create an legal binding that she already accepted a payment. We see this kind of concept throughout a lot of civil disputes and it is legally binding (depending on where you live). If a person underpays you for a service and you cash the check, they can claim in court that you accepted that payment as fair if you try to sue them later. The same happens in eviction court. If a property manager or a landlord accepts a partial rent payment, they have to delay filing for an eviction because they accepted a payment from you. If Bernie had sold that house, John probably wouldn't have had to give her anything and if she had accepted that $300,000, in the hopes that it was just until they worked things out in court, he wouldn't had to give her anything else.

John was tryna strong arm her, as yall explained he had the upper hand and leverage with money. He literally thought he could take the money and run and scare her to selling the house and be done. But Bernie was having none of that! So happy she went all the way and got what she deserves!!

Arizona is a community property state, so it was a little unrealistic as to what was going on, unless in some way she signed affidavits in similarity to an affidavit of sole and separate property, which is what may have happened at some point if he put the business in a LLC. My advice to all, is to never be complacent in your marriage to the point of not knowing what is going on. Because in the end during legal discovery it was found that he had assets everywhere. He didn’t care nothing about those clothes and items being sold and burned up. That was just the excuse he gave her to try and bully her to control the situation.
And that slap was definitely justified, because that heifer was the one helping him to gather all those secret assets. I had a mixed group of friends when we went to the theater to see this movie so long ago and my white friends spoke the loudest on how justified that slap was and gave me a fairly detailed insight on work groupies, as they were called.
I've concluded that she was supposed to slap her husband but she takes her vows seriously so instead she slapped the sidechick that meaned she still loved him.

So here's the thing... she DID go after John hard and she was indeed mostly upset with him and pursued what HE owed her. However, the side woman literally inserted herself where she didn't belong. Bernadine showed up to get her money from John because he was playing funny with the money. She didn't go there to slap that woman.
I agree that the woman should go after the man for sure. Although, I do think a lot of women these days say "go after your man" because they are the type who sleep with married men and they want to redirect that smoke on a conscious or subconscious level. IJS
@@HeitCheri I definitely understand your perspective, but for me (personally) who have been both Bernadette and the “other woman” in past relationships, I find it counterproductive to take my anger and frustration out on the other woman, even if she inserts herself. In my eyes she’s being lied to and manipulated just like me, so we’re in the same boat.. I also expect the other woman to want what I have and pursue it. What I don’t expect is the man who promised me fidelity, security and till death do us part to act on his passion and break our vows and trust.
