I have a question. Apart from other forms of gold, as an Indian, we must have it in the jewellery form as well. Considering this, should I buy gold/bar today and later ask the jeweller to make jewellery out of it in future. Or should I directly buy Jewellery. Good morning sir मैं इसमें कुछ एड करना चाहता हु। Gold jewellery :- 2018 में एवरेज गोल्ड प्राइस थे 31500 अगर कोई व्यक्ति उस समय 10gm 22 कैरेट हॉलमार्क गोल्ड खरीदता तो उसे 29000+ 4350 (15% MK)+ 3% (GST वो भी फैमिली ज्वेलर avoid karte hai) = 34950 pay करने पड़ते। और आज सेम ज्वैलरी सेल करे तो आज का गोल्ड प्राइस है 52800 (24kt) तो 22 कैरेट = 48500 ( 10 gm) तो सिर्फ 5 साल में 48500 - 34950 = 13550 का फायदा जिसमे गोल्ड ज्वैलरी को यूज भी किया सोशल स्टेटस भी बढ़ा और सिर्फ 10gm था तो सिक्योरिटी के लिए गार्ड भी नही रखना पड़ा। Gold coin/ bar :- मेकिंग चार्जेस लगते है। जो 3-5 % हो सकते है। Digital Gold :- market से प्राइस थोड़ा ज्यादा होता है। उसके बाद अगर आपको आपके गोल्ड को कॉइन में कन्वर्ट करना हो तो डाई या मेकिंग चार्ज देना होता है। उसके बाद डिलीवरी चार्जेस भी देने होते है। और अगर डिजिटल फॉर्म में ही बेचो तो 3% less होता है। गोल्ड ETF :- पहली बात तो ये की ये सेकेंडरी मार्केट होता है जिसके अपने आप में अलग नुकसान है। दूसरी बात लास्ट 5 years के रिटर्न ऑलमोस्ट 12.5% जो बहुत ज्यादा नहीं अगर 24 कैरेट गोल्ड ( फिजिकल) से तुलना करे तो सालाना 15 % के रिटर्न है फिजिकल गोल्ड के। Gold SIP :- good option लेकीन अगर आप चाहे तो फिजिकल फॉर्म में भी गोल्ड SIP कर सकते है। Gold SIP k रिटर्न भी पिछले 5 सालो में 11.5% ही दिए है। तो फिजिकल ही क्यों न गोल्ड खरीदे। SGB :- बहुत अच्छा ऑप्शन है सिर्फ ये प्रोब्लम है की जब हमे निवेश करना हो उस समय ये available है की नही ये देखना होता है।
Dear Ankur Sir, I would like to point out one thing, in relation with SGB it's that we don't have flexibility of keeping the bond. Sorry I might be taking about timing the investment but as gold prices moves very slowly some people after investment for even 8 years might not have such appreciable returns which they could by investing for say 10 to 12 years or more. I think may be, by including this in your video people would get a broader perspective for investment in Gold. By the way I love your videos, keep giving us such great insights .....
Lots of Misinformation on SGB in this video 1. The interest is on the initial list price of the SGB. Not in the current Gold price ! 2. ONLY if you hold till maturity you don't need to pay Capital gains ! else you need to pay. 3. For small investors liquidity is not an issue but if you are a big investor liquidation is an issue. I understood you don't invest in Gold, but spread correct information as someone might invest after these videos

One clarification , this 2.5% p.a interest is simple interest not compound interest, so we always get 2.5% of initial captital invested.

Simple Interest you would always get 2.5₹ per year and not 2.5% on the incremented value (i.e after 1 year you won't get 2.5% on 102.5₹).

Apparently there is making charge of min 5% when buying gold bars. Tanishq is charging 8% making charge for gold bars. Making charge is NOT nil.

You mention that long term capital gain tax won’t applicable on SGB if withdraw after 5 years but everywhere on google it mention that it will get deducted.
If we continue till the lock in period of 8 years then it won’t get deducted. I believe you should mention this also.

Can gold bought from non physical means be converted to physical, for ex if you want to make jewellery and have either ETFs or bonds, can this be exchanged for physical gold(for a cost). Gold jewellery :- 2018 में एवरेज गोल्ड प्राइस थे 31500 अगर कोई व्यक्ति उस समय 10gm 22 कैरेट हॉलमार्क गोल्ड खरीदता तो उसे 29000+ 4350 (15% MK)+ 3% (GST वो भी फैमिली ज्वेलर avoid karte hai) = 34950 pay करने पड़ते। और आज सेम ज्वैलरी सेल करे तो आज का गोल्ड प्राइस है 52800 (24kt) तो 22 कैरेट = 48500 ( 10 gm) तो सिर्फ 5 साल में 48500 - 34950 = 13550 का फायदा जिसमे गोल्ड ज्वैलरी को यूज भी किया सोशल स्टेटस भी बढ़ा और सिर्फ 10gm था तो सिक्योरिटी के लिए गार्ड भी नही रखना पड़ा।
Gold coin/ bar :- मेकिंग चार्जेस लगते है। जो 3-5 % हो सकते है।
Digital Gold :- market से प्राइस थोड़ा ज्यादा होता है। उसके बाद अगर आपको आपके गोल्ड को कॉइन में कन्वर्ट करना हो तो डाई या मेकिंग चार्ज देना होता है। उसके बाद डिलीवरी चार्जेस भी देने होते है। और अगर डिजिटल फॉर्म में ही बेचो तो 3% less होता है।
गोल्ड ETF :- पहली बात तो ये की ये सेकेंडरी मार्केट होता है जिसके अपने आप में अलग नुकसान है। दूसरी बात लास्ट 5 years के रिटर्न ऑलमोस्ट 12.5% जो बहुत ज्यादा नहीं अगर 24 कैरेट गोल्ड ( फिजिकल) से तुलना करे तो सालाना 15 % के रिटर्न है फिजिकल गोल्ड के।
Gold SIP :- good option लेकीन अगर आप चाहे तो फिजिकल फॉर्म में भी गोल्ड SIP कर सकते है। Gold SIP k रिटर्न भी पिछले 5 सालो में 11.5% ही दिए है। तो फिजिकल ही क्यों न गोल्ड खरीदे।
SGB :- बहुत अच्छा ऑप्शन है सिर्फ ये प्रोब्लम है की जब हमे निवेश करना हो उस समय ये available है की नही ये देखना होता है।

Dear Ankur Sir, I would like to point out one thing, in relation with SGB it's that we don't have flexibility of keeping the bond. Sorry I might be taking about timing the investment but as gold prices moves very slowly some people after investment for even 8 years might not have such appreciable returns which they could by investing for say 10 to 12 years or more. I think may be, by including this in your video people would get a broader perspective for investment in Gold.

1. The interest is on the initial list price of the SGB. Not in the current Gold price !
2. ONLY if you hold till maturity you don't need to pay Capital gains ! else you need to pay.
3. For small investors liquidity is not an issue but if you are a big investor liquidation is an issue.
I understood you don't invest in Gold, but spread correct information as someone might invest after these videos
