Hi thanks for this video. Do you have any videos for people with foot neuropathy but also poor mobility. My husband cannot move his feet up and down. It's that bad. Thank you.
@@DrRowe I will! I just had a X-ray on my lower back a few minutes ago for this and a MRI last week. It's taken so long for my doctor to do anything about this I'm about done with it all! They are sending me to another health care provider with a specialist in neuropathy next month so hopefully I can see if these exercises help any before then. I've already had my 4,5,6, and 7th vertebrae fused together for neck issues. That never really helped all that much... I'm not too sure if fusing anymore will help this? If I can't get any relief I don't know what I'll do...
I shared your video with Facebook because I know some folks who can use this information but I like the way you show how to stretch the back and decompress areas that need it
I did the exercise with the ball in between your heels, squeeze, & lift up onto toes... while standing! Whata relief on my hips! My leg & foot pain comes from my hips! Ugh! Thank You Dr. Rowe🤙
One doctor did give me a injection with corticosteroids and for the moment a pain reliever, for three months it was like walking on clouds, without any pain or discomfort. For me after the COVID vaccine it became worse, it’s Morton neuropathy they can operate it, but there is a risk it even can become worse. So I massage my feet with castor oil every day and do exercises, a long walk is not pleasant. But always think there are worse things and keeping positive ❤❤❤❤❤
I remember these from childhood. I have super flat feet and one doctor gave me exercises just like these (minor diifferences) and they really did help with the pain I was having. I still have very flat feet. I am going to start doing these again because I like the way my legs and feet feel when I do.
I have never had this problem until today. Numbness in my left 1 or 2 toes. Then I get on my phone this morning and see this video!! Thank you so much! 😊
@@switchunboxing I do have Rheumatoid arthritis and Sjorgens disease. Both autoimmune issues and they cause all kinds of weird things. So it may have been one of those
Just face the stairs, step up on the stair with your back half or 3/4 of you foot hanging off the treadmill. Let your feet drop down, hanging on with your toes, heel going lower than tread. Then stretch in the other direction by standing on your toes, using cald muscles, repeat. You are lengthening the muscles that are causing problems. In a very short time. Goodbye issues.
I bolted a pull knob on a flat board… put magnesium oil on it or cooking oil works also….. then rub really hard across it and break up the scare tissue up… it’s painful but no pain no gain….. I limped like a 90 year old man… and in 1 week I was pain free…. This worked for me, I hope this helps. This is for plantar fasciitis only.
Hello Dr. Rowe, thank you for your amazing videos. I was wondering if it's better to do this barefooted, without socks, or does it make no difference? 🙏🏽
I have to be careful doing these exercises, I have been trying to do these for 10+ years. When I wake up the next morning I have chronic cramps. It seems like it just never gets easier. I only work four blocks from home, I tried walking to work everyday and it never got easier after a year of this I finally quit my job. My pain got so bad that I literally wrapped my feet in duct tape every day before I put my shoes on to go to work. I tried creams I tried heat pads but it's hard to put shoes on when you have heat pads on your feet. I came home from work one day and my feet hurt so bad I was crying and in tears, and I swear that when I put my feet in the bathtub water I heard my feet sizzle. Please help! I do not want to apply for disability. I would like to continue to work full time.
I have found the neuropathy is caused by trigger point knots near the nerves in the calve muscles. Usually at the top inner or outer side or in the midline of the calves. Find these sore spots gy using your other foots toes. Massage this spot deeply for a minute and the nerve aching and burning in the top half of your foot stops immediately.
My so called pain specialist dr only cares about pushing gabapentin which does nothing and the only thing that even remotely helps as far as pain is the good stuff. I’m starting to try this and vitamins and supplements and knocking out sugar from my diet, as best I can. Thanks for the expertise you are sharing
I have a cheap (commercial) therapeutic ultrasound machine, I usually use it for my hand muscle issues due to mild exercises I must do. Can I use it for Neuropathy Pain [I have a long-term high A1c (around 6.1)]?
Do these exercises cure or do they simply relieve foot neuropathy? My left foot, around the toes and ball, feel like I am stepping in something wet when walking around the house in my massage sandals or bare feet. I looked it up and found that neuropathy can cause a “wet” sensation. It’s not exactly a tingle as such. I am going to try these exercises out but I am curious if this is something I can cure, or manage or prevent from getting worse if doing the exercises on a regular basis. Thank you Dr. Rowe. Your videos are the best I have found.
Having nephropathy. Here is what relieve of my symptoms 1. Call me religious, I don't care. I kneeled and prayed to God (Jesus Christ) to assist with this disease. Prayed for my sins and forgiveness. 2. I have high sugar (pre-diabetes) and Uric Acid over 12.1 mg/dl. My legs and feet are burning and lower back pain. 3. Eating less sugar and food that can trigger uric acid. 4. This removes my severe and burning aching nephropathy. Boiled Avocado leaves then put in the ref. I used it as my daily water Eat a lot of yogurt. Hope it will help.
I have severe bilateral peripheral neuropathy PLUS sciatica. Could I still try doing these without worrying I’m going to aggravate or worsen my sciatica condition?

Like that, or like your foot is literally being electrocuted, on fire but you can't put it out, your toes are being aggressively pulled apart, your foot being forcibly bent backward, your walking one glass, walking on severely beaten/bruised feet, etc... yay. Mine's from spinal & sciatic issues but I had surgery to hopefully, finally help. 🤞🤞🤞 These exercises def help too (along with PT). 🙂

I had my foot ran over a couple years ago and ever since I've had terrible feet pain, mostly in my big toe area. Now I have a habit of keeping my big toe up when I walk and now it's stuck like that and I can't bend my big toe. Any idea what this is? My doctor said it was arthritis, but I seriously doubt that. I also have either blood in my toenail or a bruise, it's been moving to the tip of my toe.
I’m an airline mechanic and spend long hours on concrete. I don’t have tingling or numbness, but a shock on the top of my foot under my lace area and on the top of my foot. If I’m sitting with my leg crossed on my right leg resting approx 6 inches above my ankle, within a minute or so I get the shock !! Ouch. What could this be.
I’m a T9 incomplete paraplegic from a bout of TM 5 years ago. My foot pain/tingling/burning is excruciating even with the max dose of lyrica, and I am at a loss for things to do anymore. Are things I can do, or have my caregiver do that can help with this? Thanks!
I don't have that much pain but oh man my feet have been tight, stiff and sore on the soles of my feet for about eight months now. I broke my foot last summer and tge recovery has been an ordeal. None of my shoes fit or doesn't hurt. So frustrateing!
Could it be related to the fact my left calf is missing hair on the left side of it like completely smoothe and doctors say eh it’s nothing some people just lose hair. But now I’m kept up all night with this new cold foot feeling
I’m not sure about these exercises. Neuropathy, well in my case, it’s from a pinched nerve in the spine due to degenerative disc compression, so foot exercise is not going to change the squashed nerve? In fact I suspect it’s from doing some foot exercises a few weeks back (For collapsed arch) it might’ve actually upset the nerve and made things worse, because I didn’t have any tingly sensations a few weeks back.
Get thin and eat few types of food for a while. Corn flakes 2% milk solid white tuna no bread or mayo. No or little bread and no or little sugar. Beef and other meats you should avoid also. Beans and nuts also mostly bad. Nothing from a can. No fruit or vegetables. Get up and walk as far as you can each day until you reach your max. 5 miles a day is good if you can get there.
This is not a cure, but if your T2 diabetic, look into low carb or keto diet. Eating this way will prevent the damaging blood sugar spikes after meals. I used to spike to 180-350+ after meals. Now I usually am in the 120's 1 hour after a meal. This should limit future damage to my body from blood glucose swings. We don't want our neuropathy to get worse!
Ok but what if you rollerskate 3 hours a day but still suffer from doabetic neuropathy? Most treatments seem to be for non athletic people. That doesnt help me. Are there other options?
Well----many many questions from viewers BUT not many IF ANY answers, and sadly I don't see any reports of improvements ,I doubt any of these exercises will do you any harm so that's something.
