    Kieth Folse's 'Keys to Teaching Grammar to English Language Learners' is my overall top pick, especially for newer teachers who can feel a bit overwhelmed by the denser tomes. The layout is great and the language is very plain. One of the best things is the inclusion of common learner errors with each point - even separated out by various L1s. There's also a workbook. Can't recommend it highly enough!

    I have all of these books except the 'English Grammar Today'. I fully agree, but the great books missing are those of Raymond Murphy. Thanks a lot.

    Hey, mate. Thanks for the info. By the way, would you suggest 'The CELTA Course Trainee book'?

    • @ELTExperiences

      Hi Franco and thanks for the question. I would not recommend this book as it is more geared towards trainers in training for the CELTA course. I would recommend either “Learning Teaching” or “Classroom Management” as they are both beneficial for those that are starting to train as English language teachers.

    Hello Martin
    I would like to work abroad... And I wanna go Japan.. I'm an English teacher. Pls guide me what kind of Training certificate I need to submit to work there as an ALT??

    • @ELTExperiences
      @ELTExperiences  3 года назад

      This is a really good question but I am unsure of the ALT programme - hopefully a fellow subscriber can help you. I would recommend that the CELTA course will actually help you when it comes to teaching either in your home country or abroad. It is highly recommended and will help you prepare. The CELTA is also highly regarded and recognised by many organisations abroad, so you won't go wrong. Good luck and I hope you manage to achieve what you aim to do.
