    Great Job! I love your way to do the Root stretch and after learning this technic i use it every time i need it in the salon. Everything you have said about the duration and type of treatment and the prices is so true. My boss keeps scolding me about the long time it takes to do this kind of bleaching and color balance. She keeps saying "oh, a glossing only takes 5 to 10 minutes", Anja you take too long .. "but my clients are enthusiastic and the result is great. I don't understand some bosses. They should keep the prices longer adapt to the treatment and do not constantly put the hairdressers under time stress, because a bad result costs them more money and time.

    • @TheLifeOfHair
      @TheLifeOfHair  4 года назад +1

      Yes exactly my sentiments entirely just charge for time rather than a service it is way more cost-effective as a business to charge for time over an individual service anyway. And ultimately you’ll get better results as you say 👍🏻

      Is your boss a HD? A toner can Frim 5 to 20+ mins . She needs to increase her prices . Most pics comes from IG perfect and unreal world, takes 3+ hrs depends on many factors. I treat these jobs as color corrections and heart ❤️ surgeries, I live in Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 and at my location plus my expertise on the matter, starts @ 400$ +

  • @armpouniotis

    Yes, it is a total salon friendly work ! Excellent on every aspect ! This is what every hairdresser should do ! Not complicated procedures to impress the viewers ! I thought that you would do a root shadow and leave it for 5 - 10 mins, (just to "break" the warm tones) but actually you wanted to lift the root area by 1 - 2 levels ! Am i right ?
    ok, I watched the video again, and you emulsify the root area to get rid of the previous toner. Then you used the 7t toner on the roots and 9t on the mids and ends. Now, I got it !

      Hi Amanda just to let you know this is the toning phase of a colour correction that I did on this lady the roots are bleached and there is a 7T root shadow applied that I have stretched into 9T It was processed for 25 minutes Redken shades EQ processing time is 20 minutes but I wanted it a little bit deeper and a little bit more silvery than it looked after 20 minutes so I left it on for an extra five

    • @TheLifeOfHair

      I would say that Redken shades EQ is bang on level it looks very dark whilst it is processing but this is because it has a direct die in it that looks a bit scary when it oxidises but just trust it

    Do you shampoo the toner off or simply just rinse it out ? I use SEQ too and usually shampoo my toners out. Then I treat the hair with R chemistry. New to Redken transfer from AvedA. 😏

    I include toner in my charge fo highlights because I feel like it needs it, and I don't want them having it as an optional add-on. I charge a lot because they get the best quality and I don't have to nickel and dime them for a result. When I put 09T on yellow, it goes green, so I don't know how to gauge how much is "enough violet" to cancel that yellow. Now that I think about it, it was applied to dry hair. Does that make the difference? I am afraid to add extra Violet and have it end up looking too violet.

    Your voice fades at the end of your sentences and I have to strain to hear you. Can you speak up and project your voice, please?
